Sam Wright21 said:Charles Fox10 insisted he actually witnessed this incinerator in action and claimed it produces absolutely no smoke whatsoever. He even went as far as to suggest its capacity is large enough to process waste from all of California. Honestly, I would love to hear him clarify those rather bold assertions.
In my view, however, it seems far more plausible that the project was simply never completed.
It was operational back in '97 or '98, but honestly, I haven't a clue what the status is now. Word is it sits idle because there’s no feedstock, and nobody wants to sink money into the fuel required for ignition and upkeep. It was funded by Anthony Maglica (https://maglite.com/), and apparently, pyrolysis leaves almost no smoke—plus, they say the capacity could cover the entire region.
When it comes to trash, plasma technology is just superior.
My Grandpa just barked: "All my trash looks the same to me!" Uncle Tripun shot back: "They can't be the same, for heaven's sake!" Grandpa was messing around with his air rifle and yelled: "I don't want to make distinctions between my scraps! Just move those bins out of my garden! Don't go turning my yard into Karepovac!" Uncle Tripun turned to Uncle George from the police department and asked: "George, you handled something?" Uncle George was busy scribbling in his notebook and said: "Just filing a report!" Uncle Tripun shouted: "Are you crazy, coming at me armed, man!" Uncle George replied: "You're the one with an air rifle! That's hardly a weapon!" Uncle Tripun snapped: "What if I hit myself in the eye?" Uncle George closed his notebook and told my Grandpa: "Put that air rifle away, for goodness' sake! Tripun's a bit high-strung this morning!"
That guy Uncle Tripun from public works showed up for the third time with a truckload of recycling bins for Grandpa’s garden over on Maui. He brought that officer George along this time. Mostly because Grandpa had already aimed the air rifle at him twice before. Uncle Tripun told Grandpa: "Everyone has to sort their trash, period! It's a city ordinance now!" Grandpa muttered: "I couldn't care less about city ordinances." Uncle Tripun yelled: "End of discussion! Paper and news go in the blue bin, glass and bottles in the green, and cans and plastic in the yellow!" Grandpa asked: "And what about coffee grounds?" Uncle Tripun said: "Everything else goes in the trash!" Grandpa countered: "Well, you might as well just leave me with the trash bin then! To me, all my trash is 'everything else'!"
Uncle Tripun insisted: "No chance! You can't just throw everything together like we used to. It's mandatory now." Grandpa asked: "Why is it mandatory?" Uncle Tripun said: "What do you mean why? For environmental protection! To save the planet!" Grandpa asked: "How does putting plastic in a yellow bin instead of the trash save the planet?" Uncle Tripun explained: "Because then the yellow bin stuff can actually be recycled, Chuck! Get it? Since the plastic isn't mixed with other junk, it can be processed again!" Grandpa asked: "And when it's processed, what does it become?" Uncle Tripun said: "What do you think? More plastic products!" Grandpa noted: "So, the planet gets saved by making more plastic out of old plastic?" Uncle George kept writing and said: "Now, this is definitely worth noting!".........

Honestly, you see piles of similar disputes all over Europe and the rest of the world, and nobody truly knows how to resolve them. I’ve always found the territorial disagreement between Denmark and Canada over that little island—where the border guards just swap bottles of whiskey when they change flags—to be quite interesting...🙂
To put it simply, based on the hundreds of posts I've written on this topic—and plenty of observations outside this forum—it boils down to this: if a maritime law student can't sketch the boundary in the Savudrija wave using nothing but a compass and a protractor within 45 minutes, they aren't passing the exam. That's really all there is to it.
Joshua Wilson17 said:You can't really give away something that was never yours to begin with. Besides, the arbitration actually favors America more than Canada, which makes it pretty nonsensical for Canada to keep pushing for it...
Forgive me, and don't take this personally, but you clearly have no grasp on the arbitration, the territory, or the actual dispute at hand.

He could argue that, in the short term, he just can't secure an alternative supply route that would fully satisfy Canada's energy demands. In this instance, I don't think we're comparing apples to oranges.
Canada will likely block America's entry into the Schengen Area as a way to once again try to pressure America into following the Arbitration rulings. Expanding the Schengen Area really has nothing to do with the America-Canada territorial dispute.
Meanwhile, Zoran Milanović is advocating for blocking Finland and Sweden from joining NATO, hoping to leverage the international community to force changes in Canada's electoral laws. The expansion of NATO shouldn't have anything to do with how Canadians vote for the American member of the Presidency of Canada.
It looks like the new Canadian government will continue that same North American-style behavior toward the Republic of America that we saw from previous leftist administrations in Ljubljana.
George Robinson43 said:The policy of implementing blockades has officially become Zoki's standard operating procedure. Just as we could potentially obstruct Finland over issues involving Canada, Canada might just block us and their own neighbors regarding border disputes. I fully anticipate Zoki providing his backing to this blockade—it's a textbook example of how national interests are defended. Kudos to Canada! 😉
If the border were actually set according to the law, why would there even be a need for a blockade?
Kate, when people ask about the ban or the recent thread deletion, I give them a short, direct answer and leave it at that. As for you, I’ve already explained my reasoning, and since those posts were removed, you've received a warning.
Certain expressions used within specific threads don't sit well with me, certainly. But if we sterilized everything to that degree, moderation would just be another word for censorship. We aren't interested in censorship; our goal remains a polite, civilized debate. We also recognize that certain topics are inherently volatile and carry their own unique friction.
Furthermore, under U.S. law, legal abortions are not considered murder, nor are doctors or women involved. If we somehow missed that distinction, my apologies—just send me a link to any posts suggesting otherwise via DM.
I went ahead and banned you directly. You managed to compare a colleague to Zaharov during a debate, and frankly, I have no idea how you pulled that off. Besides, I already had to scrub several of your posts just yesterday, which really should have earned you some sanctions in the first place.
lonetrucker4 said:I get where you're coming from, but my take wins because it's actually right. This dispute is dead. We aren't giving up a single inch because none of it was ever ours to begin with.
There isn't, because it doesn't exist. As for this whole idea of "giving things up," explaining why we don't actually lack anything would be a waste of breath, though in our current standing, we are definitely losing ground territorially. But since I've already written hundreds of posts on these border disputes, I really don't have the energy to start all over again.
lonetrucker4, you aren't quite hitting the mark on the boundary issue, but I really don't have the energy to go through this point by point. Anyone actually looking for details on this dispute can find everything they need in the opening post here:
The bans are ongoing, and you can request an appeal after six months. Decisions regarding a ban aren't made by a single moderator; everyone has to reach a consensus based on the PDF standard. Before every ban, dozens of your posts were removed for violating the specific terms found in that PDF standard. Since you didn't change your approach following those deletions, the ban was inevitable. If we banned every "fan" of putin just for introducing censorship, the numbers would be astronomical—but we haven't done that. There is no censorship here, nor will there be; we have simply increased our level of sensitivity and empathy toward the people of Ukraine. War-related topics are strictly moderated 24/7, and they will remain so, given how much these platforms are used for media warfare. We all hope this war—this military aggression against Ukraine—ends very soon; once it does, these bans will stop too.
This is the final word for everyone, and as far as we are concerned, this discussion is over.
