Hey everyone, I don't want to clutter things up with a brand new thread, but I'm looking at picking up a used HD 4850 from Craigslist. I noticed there are a ton of different versions listed on there—Gainward, Toxic, EVGA, and so on.
Now I'm totally stuck on which one to grab. I just need it to run ARMA 3 and maybe some other random games on decent settings. Nothing crazy, just something solid that works.
Here's my current rig: Intel Core 2 Duo clocked at 2800 MHz 3 GB RAM ASUS ROG motherboard 500 W power supply
Harold Mitchell30 said:Look, it’s basically just taking any two-digit number and subtracting its individual digits from it. You'll always end up with a number divisible by 9. Like, take 89. Subtract 8, you get 81. Then subtract 9, and boom—you've got 72. I don't even know where people find this stuff...
That's a super cool trick too, but when you try doing it on a computer, it's totally different. You'll get a ton of those little symbols, you think of a number, and the PC just spits out that specific sign every single time...
Hey everyone... so, listen up. I posted this one killer trick on here ages ago, but now I’m totally blanking and can't find the thread anywhere! It’s that one where the screen gets flooded with all these random symbols, right? Then you pick one, do some quick math—adding and subtracting stuff—and once you hit enter, boom! It spits out the exact symbol you were aiming for. Seriously, if anyone remembers what this trick is called or knows where it's hiding on the boards, please let me know!
Man, I really wish George Garcia6 could see this right now 😲 Seriously, why are you freaking out already? Talking about fines and all that... it’s not like we’re in a prison camp! We're just joking around a little bit 😎

Winamp and iTunes..
Look, I personally know three guys who fit this description. I asked them directly, and they all said the same thing: their music sounds great and it plays movies when they need it, so why bother with anything else? It’s just that simple. Honestly, what am I even supposed to explain to you? It's like trying to explain to someone that a Ford also has wheels and can drive, but they'd still rather be in a Mercedes. You know exactly what I mean...

Hmm, I copied this from somewhere—won't say where—but I actually used this software to build my little flower cottage... one day I'm gonna build it for real in the real world.😳
Are you kidding me? How are you supposed to rescue anything from a drive that’s been completely formatted?? And twice, no less!!!😕 😕 Seriously, I had no clue that was even possible... sounds sketchy as hell, I honestly don't believe it.
Timothy Brown8 said:Destroy it, exactly like that 🙂 It's just not on the web... I was a math major at a state university and ended up working in an IT department, so it’s probably the same deal everywhere else. Maybe in some administrative office or something. You basically just type in your name and what you studied and stop overthinking it... Yeah... there's nothing online about it... as far as I know 🙂
That's awesome. Honestly, bummer I didn't study that 😬 😬 😬
Try resetting the BIOS first. And hey, did you actually do a full wipe on that drive? I don't mean a quick format—I mean a total, complete scrub. Try running it on a different PC and let me know how it goes. Seriously, everyone, keep us posted! Oh, and make sure you format it as NTFS!
