Hey there. I’m looking for a bit of advice here. I don't know if anyone remembers that game where Cleveland played Stuttgart about a month back. Well, I had a few too many that day and ended up wiping out on my bike on my right arm—I don't recall the exact details, but honestly, that part doesn't really matter. When I woke up the next morning, my right wrist was aching, but I just figured it would pass, so I ignored it. Fast forward two weeks, and now that same joint starts acting up whenever I tilt my arm toward the right side. I can still lift pretty heavy stuff and my hand functions normally enough, and it’s not even an agonizing pain, but if I try to rotate it a bit harder toward the right, that's when the ache kicks in. Has anyone else dealt with something like this, and how did it end up turning out? I know I'm being foolish for not seeing a doctor sooner, but the idea of someone actually breaking my arm is out of the question; I’ve been playing guitar for eight years now and I am absolutely not risking anything with those kinds of medical interventions. I already had bones broken back when I was a kid, so I've learned my lesson. Anyway, I guess I'm rambling too much. To get to the point, it's specifically that right side of the wrist—right where that little lump is—that's bothering me, and I could really use some input. Thanks.
In that case, thanks a million. I guess I was just worrying over nothing after all. 😁
So, I’ve been stuck in this depressive funk for about a week now... I'm 17... I've been smoking Marlboro Blues for two years, but a few days ago I tried some heavier stuff and now my right lung has started hurting. It really freaked me out—I basically assumed the worst and quit cold turkey. I haven't touched a cigarette in five days, but I need some advice: every single time I even just inhale some smoke, that spot in my lung starts aching again. Is there any chance it could be cancer?
My mom is a nurse, and I can't tell if she's trying to scare me or not, but she mentioned she's already had three 19-year-olds come in with lung cancer... is that even possible?
I guess the truth is that you don't really realize how much life actually matters until something like this hits you...
Anyway.... I've stayed clean for five days, haven't touched a cigarette, but then I took one single drag... and that lung pain came right back. Could it seriously be cancer, or am I just overthinking things?
Please, I just need some real advice. And please, skip the "you're just a reckless kid" comments; I really don't need that right now. I don't want to have to break the news to my mom like this, and she's already on edge as it is...
Hey everyone. I’ve run into a bit of a situation. Yesterday, I basically went on a tear and drank every drop of hard liquor I could get my hands on. This morning, I woke up and realized swallowing is a total nightmare. It feels incredibly weird—like there's this swelling in my mouth that stretches all the way back to my tongue. OOOOOO
I’m asking for some help here, people. If anyone has any advice on how to get this swelling down quickly and effectively, please let me know. I really need to get things back to normal ASAP.
EDIT: It turns out the soft part of my palate is what's actually inflamed. I just woke up and did a quick Google search, so I think "soft palate" is the right term for it.😁
