Hey, read back what you actually wrote: "my sister went to John Smith for that lip inversion surgery and she looks absolutely horrific, her life is ruined forever" — I’m putting massive emphasis on LOOKS HORRIFIC and LIFE IS RUINED. In that case, yeah, I guess I can see why you'd say it makes sense she wouldn't want him to try and fix it... but now, do me a favor and read everything *I* actually wrote and tell me if I ever used terms like that?! Look, I feel for your sister, really, but I have zero clue why you decided to come for me personally... my situation isn't some massive tragedy, thank God... because, again, my nose looks way better than it did before the surgery, so I don't look horrific and my life isn't over... I just wanted to warn other people thinking about going to Kincl to think twice if they actually want value for their money, that's it. And if I'm just "stupid" for choosing him or "don't respect myself or my body" or whatever—hey, feel free to go tell that to my sister instead. Btw—what even is lip inversion anyway?!?! 🤣

okay, it’s really not that dramatic, man... the nose looks better than it did before anyway, so he didn't "disfigure" me, don't worry, hehe... I just expected there wouldn't be any stupid lumps... or rather, that they wouldn't still be there after the fix... and why did I go back to him specifically? Because he was actually the one who suggested it. He wasn't playing dumb about the lumps or pretending he couldn't see them (which, let's be real, he could have), and at the time, it felt fair. So I thought, hey, maybe he'll fix it since he admitted it. But then it got sketchy when my friend told me she’d need a revision too. And look, don't get mad, but this isn't some big thing about self-respect. 😂

I just really need to vent about Kincl and maybe warn someone else... basically, I had nose surgery with him almost two years ago. Once everything settled down, I noticed the tip of my nose looked totally off. Like, there are these little bumps on both sides. They feel like huge, hard subcutaneous pimples—he tried telling me it was just cartilage, but seriously? It’s like having two little horns poking out. One side was way more obvious than the other; you could definitely see them jutting out in photos. So, Kincl scheduled me for a revision under local anesthesia. That happened back in April this year. At first, I thought, "Okay, cool, it's fixed," but it turns out that was just swelling. Now that the swelling is gone, those damn bumps are still right there 😢 and honestly, the worst part is there’s actually another irregularity on my nose, but these lumps are so distracting I don't even notice it anymore...
I mean, okay, I initially thought, "Maybe I just got unlucky and things went wrong for me." But then, about a month ago, a friend comes over—she also had surgery with him earlier this year in January—and she tells me she’s been scheduled for a revision because *she* has a bump too. So, you tell me, is it normal for everyone to need a redo after surgery (which clearly doesn't even work)? 🤷 I am seriously so disappointed. I really regret not going to someone else instead...

Ugh, believe me, I felt the exact same way... Don't even sweat it... I totally get where you're coming from because I've been exactly where you are. Honestly, your nose is always going to settle or sag a little bit after a while anyway. That’s actually why the good surgeons—the ones who actually know what they're doing—plan ahead and intentionally lift it a bit higher than you might think. They do it so you don't end up staring in the mirror later thinking your nose looks like it's "drooping." Plus, all that swelling can actually pull everything upward during recovery. Ugh, seriously, I looked like a complete pig right after my procedure.😁 It’s been seven months since the surgery, and there's still zero sign of that pig ever showing up. Seriously, nothing. Not a trace.🙂
So, you think it’s totally normal for your upper lip and nose to be paralyzed too? Like, seriously? I still remember how my brother used to mess with me about it—he'd tell me I looked like some kind of absolute maniac whenever I tried to laugh because my smile was just completely deformed. And the nose? Yeah, no kidding, I couldn't even move my nose at all back then. But now? Now I can twitch my nose like a little rodent. Just thought I'd share.😁

It’s been about six months since my surgery... and I still have this weird little lump right by my belly button on the left side. My doc told me he isn't going to touch it yet—he wants to wait until at least a full year has passed since the operation. He said the plan is basically just to use a needle to drain it out or whatever.

In my experience, it's not a given—it doesn't happen to everyone.......not for me, at least.......mind you, the doc told me my nasal bones are actually really small, maybe even too small, but he said that's actually a plus because it'll blend perfectly with the new, smaller nose shape, so he doesn't need to touch them at all......but I guess if they were way too wide and he had to shorten the tip, then yeah, you'd probably assume he'd have to shave down the bridge too, right.......

Look, personally... I'm pretty happy. It's been about three months since my surgery. But I gotta be real, at first, I was totally hating it (right after they took the molds off). My nose was so swollen, which made it look super weird. It was leaning to the left—still does a tiny bit, but that's just because the swelling hasn't fully gone down yet. And the tip? Way too upturned at first, couldn't even smile without feeling like my whole face looked distorted and messed up. I think that’s why when you read stuff on Reddit, everyone says don't get the surgery... because everyone’s just complaining. But that's just how it goes, right? You want someone to come along, comfort you, and explain what's happening. People are way more likely to post "Oh my god, I have a bump! What do I do?! Is this normal?!" rather than "Hey, my nose looks amazing and perfectly straight!!" Anyway, long story short, I'm happy with both my profile and my front view. It's not some "perfect" nose, but who cares? Plus, it still needs another three months to really settle in... but even if it stays exactly like this, I'm good with it.👍

Well, duh, of course it’s peeling. It was basically "sealed" under that mold, right? Dead skin cells had nowhere to go, so now they're all coming to the surface at once... it'll pass eventually. Once the soreness dies down, try using a gentle exfoliator and you'll see how it goes. 🙂 Oh, and that shine? Totally normal. It’s probably just the swelling settling down or whatever, so the nose looks glossy. Mine still has a bit of a shine and peels a tiny bit, and feels a little rough, but honestly, it’s way, way better than when I first started.

After my surgery, I was going in for cleanings almost every two or three days for the first couple of weeks just to get all the scabs, dried blood, and junk out of my nose.. I see some people here saying they don't even bother checking in until two months after the stents come out.. how does that even work?? Look, I get that every surgeon has their own specific protocol, but seriously.. if you wait two months, isn't everything just gonna build up inside your nose?🤔

Build up? Build what up?!? I went in for a checkup just three weeks after my stents were removed, and they basically just took one look at me and sent me on my way..... there wasn't even a need for any cleaning or anything else...... anyway, I only had a tiny bit of bloody discharge during that first week (like, really minimal), so I just blew it out and cleared it using Q-tips.. and honestly, I'm still using Q-tips to clean things out myself😁 but it's nothing crazy looking inside🤣

ugh, yeah, true, they don't do that at the Mayo Clinic......and honestly, I doubt those private clinics even touch it, and if they do, you're looking at a massive wait and a huge bill.......so you're better off just hitting up the American Red Cross.......I had to do mine like 10 years ago and just brought the results with me, since your blood type isn't exactly going to change on you anyway

I’m doing pretty alright, or at least my nose is... the swelling is going down, and the tip is starting to drop🙂 As far as breathing goes, it’s still not totally clear, but I had a cold recently, so maybe that’s part of it too......
And honestly, if I were you, I’d just go to a private clinic for the pre-op stuff, like maybe a Mayo Clinic outpatient center or something similar..... that’s where I went...... everything is done in like two hours (meaning the tests and getting the results back), and it’s not even that pricey. I paid $130 which I really don't think was much, especially when you consider we're already prepared to shell out like $2,000 for the surgery itself, so why sweat an extra $100 on top of that?! But hey, that's just my two cents and my advice.....
