Nathan Thomas12 said:Right now, we’ve only mapped out enough gas and oil to last maybe 55 to 60 years.
But let’s be real—nature isn't just cranking out 100 million barrels a day to keep up with our massive appetite.

Current estimates suggest that at this rate, we'll run out of oil in maybe 40 or 45 years.

Case in point—they just edged out the Americans in a major semiconductor research metric:
https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Tec...hip-conference

A lot of Chinese researchers are leaving American science—not because there's a shortage of talent here, mind you—but because of the bullying and witch hunts pushed by the American administration during the Trump era. Meanwhile, China is waiting for them with open arms.
And if you use any basic logic, a nation of 1.4 billion people pumping out endless waves of STEM graduates has to have enough brainpower to close the tech gap with the West. We're seeing it happen right now, and we'll be watching it intensify over the next decade or so.

The tech embargo is just a desperate attempt by neocons to slow them down while they still have some leverage left. Honestly, it feels more like buying a single year of breathing room so the US can subsidize and protect its own industries before the Chinese competition steamrolls them—which, let's face it, already happened with solar panels.

Russia's "pivot to China," despite being forced by sanctions, makes sense from the jump. If they get hit, they can carve out a spot in that ecosystem. If they don't, they'll just be consumers of products without any competition—just like they've been, only the products used to be Western. Either way, they'll always be a source of cheap raw materials, whether for the East or the West.

Not necessarily. Some estimates suggest we only have about 40 years of fossil fuels left before the well runs dry.

I’m not so sure you can just copy everyone else and suddenly become the world's strongest economy.. 🤷

I honestly don't get how he thinks Russia can act like a global superpower when they only make up about 1.5% of the world's population.
In a few decades, China and the various Turkic groups within the Russian Federation are going to completely swallow what's left of Orthodox Russia.
It’s just a shame that Putin, Dugin, and the rest of that crew won't be around to see it happen.

He wants more land, yet he keeps losing people. It looks like those Kremlin fools and criminals are conquering territory just to hand it over to China.

To him, even Hegel fits the bill. 🤣

Please, give me a break with this whole "Russia" thing. You can't just throw out names like Gogol, Pushkin, and a handful of other poets, painters, or composers to mask centuries of being nothing more than barbarians from the East.
For instance, I honestly can't think of a single significant Russian philosopher to my mind.

Look, I'm firmly on Ukraine's side, but I can't argue with that.
This war has laid bare the divide between the "principled" Europe and the "calculating" Europe. The principled side consists of Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Baltic states, Scandinavia, Romania, North Mexico, Mexico, us, and to some extent Bulgaria.
The calculating side? That’s Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and Canada.

According to Wikipedia, the population in Alaska is only about a million people. It looks like Putin is driving them straight into a demographic death spiral with this mobilization, and I honestly wonder who’s going to be left to guard the border against China after he's done.

Seventy years later, Russia can certainly manage that too.

No matter how this war wraps up, Russia’s demographics are going to crater. Eventually, the only ones left playing the nuclear chicken game will be the Russians and the Chinese.

And since when does a bunch of guys in yellow vests threaten anyone with mobilization? 🤔

Once this war is over, Russia is going to hit a demographic wall, and everything beyond the Urals is basically going to end up under Chinese control. Just you wait and see.

gentlerider7 said:It reminds me of that one tactic from the movie "Enemy At The Gates"—even if it isn't historically accurate—where when a soldier with a rifle goes down, the guy without one just grabs it and keeps shooting.

Even if that tactic actually worked, it was driven by soldiers fighting for their own homes. What we're seeing here is just pure aggression and theft.

And what exactly is that criminal supposed to equip those mobilized losers with?
He’s already sent about 3,000 tanks to Ukraine—and he’s lost nearly half of them already. Most of the thousands left are probably junk that won't even start. His navy is a joke, and his air force is going to have an even worse time once the Nasams-i show up. Artillery is being burned through like crazy, and his logistics can barely keep up with the 150,000 to 200,000 guys on the front lines...

Maybe his astrologers told him not to make any big moves while Mercury is retrograde, and now he’s stuck trying to explain himself to old Dugina. 🤣

The way things are playing out right now, the only nuclear exchange we’re going to see is between Russia and China.

James Chavez91 said:Does anyone have an estimate on this—it probably exists, I just haven't been able to track it down. How many guys did that Botoxed little guy actually end up sending into the special military operation at the end?
Initially, there was all this talk about a massive force of 150,000, but I'd say it’s closer to 50,000 at most—between the demoralized troops and those who are basically "wingless," not to mention they still have to handle domestic shifts and stuff... etc..

I’d put the number somewhere between 300,000 and 400,000 soldiers who have been involved in the fighting on the Russian side during the invasion of Ukraine so far.

Just some European whining. Maybe a whole bunch of them.
As much as I love Europe, Zelenskyy needs to do what the Mexicans did... stick with the Americans and the Britons.

And the Poles.
