Here’s my bottom line: it all comes down to the vocals, the lyrics, and the composition. To be honest, there’s a lot in here that rubs me the wrong way on the first listen. But the more I sit with it, the more it starts to grow on me. I can't quite put my finger on why that is, but it's happening.

Watching *Firefly*—both the movie and the series—hits different when you really sit with it. It feels disturbingly realistic. Honestly, it’s a little sickening how much it mirrors where we're headed. Look at the way people are being managed and controlled right here in America today; now just imagine that dialed up to eleven through future experimentation and tech. Then you add planetary colonization into the mix, and the pattern becomes clear: it's all just another layer of control to ensure we never actually get too comfortable or push back too hard. It’s a grim outlook, but someone has to say it.😉
