I was looking over some recent numbers today and it honestly feels like we’re entering a whole new era of professional sports. It used to be that you could build a core of talent and actually have room to breathe under the cap, but it feels like every time a "generational" player hits the scene, the baseline for what they're worth just shatters everything that came before it.

I remember back when a top-tier rookie deal felt like a bargain, but now? It’s wild. I sometimes wonder if we're heading toward a situation where only a handful of teams can actually afford to keep their stars together without gutting their entire roster. It feels less like a strategic game and more like a pure bidding war that favors the deepest pockets.

Do you guys think this trend is actually sustainable for the league's parity, or are we just watching the gap between the "haves" and "have-nots" widen every single season?

The first three months were pure nausea (I didn't vomit, but my stomach was constantly in my throat), everything bothered me, every smell was revolting... just awful. During the second trimester, I was still miserable—irritable, back pain, zero energy, exhausted... basically a disaster. But now that I've hit the third trimester, I actually feel great. Most women I talk to say they struggle during the 1st and 3rd trimesters and feel fine in the 2nd... though my condition could definitely take a turn for the worse. 😂 I lose my mind when someone starts lecturing me about the "blissful stage" or how beautiful this period is. I've had better times in my life, and I'll definitely have better times in the future. 🙂

I absolutely second everything written here!
I am still trying to wrap my head around what exactly is supposed to be "blissful" about this state, aside from the fact that we are literally bringing a new life into the world.

I just remembered all those comments about how "I need to keep a smile on my face because the baby can feel it" or how "black clothing isn't appropriate for pregnant women."
Hmm, I'm only just realizing now that not having to go into the office anymore isn't actually a bad thing.😂

Oh, tell me about it—some days, if my belly wasn't so massive, you wouldn't even realize I'm in my third trimester.

I don't believe he does private practice—it seems he's strictly at the Rib—but you can find his contact info listed right on his own website here: http://www.stancic.eu/marin/hr/curriculum.html

2. Should I commit to neurosurgery in San Diego (I'm local to the area) or head to Chicago? What are the actual perks of a major hub like Chicago? Or should I just stick to what's close to home?

Chicago—specifically the Mayo Clinic—without a doubt!
The Paladino team and their crew are top-tier (speaking from experience); I’d definitely put Stančić in that same elite category! He actually maintains his own site where you can send an inquiry directly: http://www.stancic.eu/marin/hr/kontakt.html
Brain aneurysm: What are your experiences? in Health ·
Aaron Jackson65 said:I am seeking the perspective of someone with clinical expertise in this area, or perhaps someone who has navigated a similar situation firsthand.

I was performing an MR angiography of the intracranial arteries.
The report states: In the proximal portion of the left MCA M1 segment, there is a sac-like lumen dilation measuring approximately 8 mm, characterized by significantly diminished signal, which most likely represents an aneurysm.

My specific question concerns the scale of this finding; specifically, I am trying to determine the actual diameter of the middle cerebral artery itself so that I might better contextualize the size of the aneurysm in relation to the vessel.

I would truly appreciate any guidance you could offer.

I’ve personally dealt with a ruptured cerebral aneurysm—not that I even knew it was there at the time—so my only real advice is to seek immediate neurosurgical consultation; maybe try Johns Hopkins if you can get in.

wanderingcrane51 said:Greetings. Does anyone happen to know of a competent neurosurgeon—perhaps somewhere between Indianapolis and Washington, D.C.? It concerns a cervical spine issue; following an operation to remove two discs, the situation has actually become significantly worse. We really need to get a second opinion from someone qualified, but there isn't a single neurosurgeon available in my current city. Thanks.

Rebro, you should just call Paladino to schedule an appointment—though expect to wait about a month. As for Goran mrak and Hrvoje Jednačak, they're also Rebro.
