The comments from people are what get to me... My neighbor asked me today how I was doing and if everything was fine. When I told her things were okay, she snapped back with: "An acquaintance, another acquaintance, another acquaintance... they all said everything was perfect too, right up until the next day when they started bleeding and had a miscarriage." It made my blood boil...🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I have to wonder if that woman is even remotely sane. The only way one could possibly forgive such a comment is if she retreated into her house immediately afterward and began slamming her head against the wall while questioning her own sanity. We all occasionally let something slip that we later regret, certainly, but if this is her standard mode of conversation, one would be wise to give her a very wide berth.
It is quite irritating how I have become an "addict" to this forum; instead of actually being productive, I find myself sitting here reading and typing away...🙂🙂
It is quite irritating to deal with these sudden bouts of exhaustion, or the sheer physical struggle of simply transitioning from lying down to standing up. Even my most comfortable maternity jeans have become a nuisance because the fabric over my stomach is far too short, causing them to constantly slide down. Then there are the minor indignities, like struggling to pull on boots, or the internal groan that follows whenever I drop something on the floor, knowing full well that bending over is now a significant chore.
I also find it somewhat tiresome when certain acquaintances—friends or even family members—perform this exaggerated display of excitement regarding my pregnancy. To me, this is a perfectly natural progression of life, and I see little reason for such excessive sentimentality. Furthermore, I am mildly annoyed when some of my friends start referring to themselves as "aunties" in relation to my child. Honestly, I think I'm losing my edge.
