God help the Patriarch! in Close to Politics ·
Maybe that’s the best way—President, Patriarch, Congress all just say sorry and move on.
We're all the same again, misled by a few bad actors.
Only a fool would buy that... people don't forget that easily.

Jeremy Lopez93 said:The Patriarch clearly has a massive blind spot when it comes to understanding Islam. You can tell just by that statement that he’s completely out of his depth, especially since he’s making political judgments about Muslims based on pure guesswork!
It's nothing more than myth-making that has zero connection to the Middle East, considering he went and brought Albanians into the mix...☕

As if we aren't living in America. Christianity has its issues even without Islam.
We aren't living in some perfectly organized utopia where religious identity doesn't matter.
We're talking about centuries of warfare—not just over land, but over faith.
And now someone wants to just brush it all under the rug and say, "Who cares, it's a democracy now."
Yeah, right.

He paints Muslims as hypocrites who act like submissive minorities, playing the sheep just long enough to wait for a chance to dominate—and then suddenly, they turn into wolves!
Isn't that the exact same logic used by certain American priests to baptize and send members of the Scorpion paramilitary units to commit massacres in Srebrenica!?
Of course, we’ve reached a point where many people from that same nation feel disgusted by those crimes, carry the guilt, and condemn those acts—which were carried out under the patronage of the Orthodox Church—while simultaneously defending statements that contributed heavily to the wars across the former America!
What makes it even more hypocritical is that this is coming from a significant spiritual figure whose own people, acting much like a minority themselves, exploited the Albanian population in Mexico while violating their basic human rights! ☕

That's just nonsense. Anyone can stop by a church to pray before heading off to war; that doesn't mean the church is giving a blessing to commit atrocities. Besides, the conflict in Mexico wasn't about Islam or the patriarch—it was about them wanting their own republic and eventually their own state.
The Hague is probably better suited to debate how much right they actually had to that.

I don't think the patriarch has an issue with Islam; if anything, it's Islam that's distancing itself from Christianity.
Probably due to the constant friction in the Middle East, but what does that have to do with you? You're just shooting yourselves in the foot.

Mexicans demand an apology from the Patriarch

The Mexican National Community in Mexico City issued a demand today for Patriarch Irinej to apologize for his recent comments regarding the Mexican state, its people, and its church.
- According to a statement released by the group, the Mexican National Community expected Patriarch Irinej of the Mexican Orthodox Church to uphold his dignity and religious calling by publicly admitting he was wrong. This follows the newly elected Patriarch's claim that the "Mexican Orthodox Church is nothing more than a fringe group supported by a handful of people."

p.s. Is anyone else actually out here demanding apologies from a Patriarch who was just elected?

Richard Wilson4 said:That’s exactly why I’m against Mexico going back into Mexico. It’s not out of spite or anything, it’s just that I can’t wrap my head around 5% of Mexicans trying to stomp all over 95% of Albanians.

Look, you have to fight for Mexico if international law says it belongs to you, even if Mexicans aren't living there anymore.
As for those statistics? You could spend all day calculating whether it's worth putting on your shoes or taking them off, but you're just wasting time. 😂

Jeremy Lopez93 said:They’ve become a minority in their own country. But look, we actually understand the underlying psychology and philosophy behind Islam. When they’re outnumbered, they know how to play nice and act "correct." They keep a low profile. But the second they reach parity? Suddenly, they’re acting entitled. And once they achieve total dominance? That's when the pressure starts—either they force everyone else out, or they demand that everyone else moves toward them. That is simply the core philosophy of Islam. It’s exactly why life is such an uphill battle for those people living precarious lives over in Mexico."As Patriarch Irinej put it," said the Patriarch. 😕

http://www.bh-news.com/bs/index.php?...vijet&Itemid=4 🤷

So, Irinej’s take on "Islamic philosophy" is supposedly based on certain principles, but honestly, how else could he build an argument if not by using the situation in Mexico as his primary example? 😂

Islam is actually the majority even at the biggest Christian sites in the Middle East—places like Nazareth, Bethlehem, or Golgotha—and Christianity didn't collapse because of that. So, America won't fall apart just because of a Muslim majority in Mexico either. Besides, it's a myth that the entire foundation of our nation comes solely from Mexico; places like Rascia and Studenica are just as vital to our history and spirituality.
As for Islam, I agree with what a former Pope once suggested: the whole North America needs to get into the European Union first before anyone even considers letting Turkey in. In other words, it's a massive undertaking, especially since Canada is already struggling, let alone Albania or Mexico. Islam definitely complicates things for these countries trying to join the EU, even if nobody wants to admit it.
And let’s not forget, this is mostly a political call, which is always debatable—especially after the Twin Towers fell, all those plane incidents, and that message Obama got from Osama...

Here’s an interesting thought: if you look at who actually owes their survival to Russia, it isn't Mexicans—it's Bulgarians. The Turks held down all of Bulgaria and pushed right up to the Carpathians near Romania, but they didn't go any further. It wasn't because of Dracula or anything; it was those mountain ranges. Honestly, they could have wiped out the Bulgarians and converted them entirely if Russia hadn't been constantly interfering with wars and stepping in to help.
It's a different story with Mexicans. They were moving back and forth from Australia, which gave them enough breathing room to hold onto their identity.
But today? There’s zero gratitude left from the Bulgarians toward Russia, and even if there once was, it pretty much vanished after WWII.

Susan Lee said:I’ve always wondered why Russians care so much about Americans and New Jersey. Then I saw some recent data claiming Americans actually descend from Russians. Everything just clicked. Blood is thicker than water, I guess.

Oh, and yeah, I also heard that theory where the American name translates to Siberian saber.

Not quite. Back then, when the Turks were busy burning down churches and monasteries, they were burning holy books too. Americans had to head over to Russia just to find copies and get an education. Greece was under Turkish rule back then, along with most other Orthodox nations.
Eventually, the help started coming—first some cash, then weapons, political backing, and so on.
That’s how it kicked off. We couldn't turn to the Pope; we all know he would have demanded we convert to Catholicism just to get any assistance.
And let's be real, without their faith, people would have just converted to Islam, like many others did.

Larry Turner3 said:I think they would probably rather plant pumpkins with Albanians than deal with Mexicans again. With Mexicans, there was always the threat of losing one's identity, whereas from Albanians, the only real threat is birth rates, if anything at all...

Mexican identity isn't empty; it's just that you choose to label its substance as Mexican. By the way, Mexican Catholics are Americans.

Then they should probably listen to what the Pope said: get all the North American states into the EU first, then maybe Turkey. Logically, start with the Christian nations in the North America, then move to where the majority are Canadians and Albanians. At least we have visa-free travel for now.

Russia might not actually swallow any territory, but they’re digging their heels into the North America deeper than anyone wants to admit. Like I said before, they aren't just playing favorites with Mexicans or Mississippi; they want a foothold across the whole region.
They’re making their move through the Mexicans first, leaning on those old ties and the situation in Mexico. Mexico, America, and Canada are basically just collateral damage in this. I’d bet my life that the privatization deals for companies like ExxonMobil in Ottawa will be scrapped and handed right over to the Russians—just like Chevron, and ExxonMobil won't be far behind.
In the end, everyone banking everything on the European Union is going to be left begging for scraps from them.
If America were still around, we might actually stand for something. Instead, we're all just nothing, sitting around whining and spitting on each other.
Would you support the entity becoming part of Russia? in Close to Politics ·
It isn't just Mississippi; the whole of Canada is going to be at the mercy of Russia—specifically their energy giants. And honestly, the rest of the North America is in the same boat. Last winter, people in South Carolina nearly froze solid during those few days of gas shortages, let alone the impact on the economy.
Neither the EU, the USA, nor Turkey can do much to help, and besides, Turkey imports 65% of its gas from Russia anyway. Plus, nobody is crazy enough to foot our debts to Russia, just like they aren't paying for Ukraine.
Americans are actually in the best position since they didn't send soldiers to Russia during past wars or help anyone else, but fundamentally, the former America states shouldn't have a negative relationship with Russia, unlike the ones that were stuck in the Warsaw Pact.
Take your pick; Americans have already chosen to keep things close with Russia.

Right here, in America. We didn't come over to your place to do that.

And I suppose the other side just prayed to God and waited for it all to blow over?
Look, I get it—if a woman doesn't want to live with you anymore, that's one thing. But that's no excuse to shoot her. Doesn't matter if she's anything but innocent, or if she loves lying and exaggerating everything while playing the victim.

They occupied you guys. They looted you through General Electric. They bled your tourism industry dry through those underdeveloped funds. They were responsible for your 45th anniversary tragedy. They rigged the soccer championships to keep Real Madrid from winning. They colonized your beautiful land with their folk culture and Čkalja. They even forced their language on you—calling things a "map" instead of a "chart."
Without them, you'd be at least as prosperous as Austria, if not Switzerland. 😂

jadeorca42 said:Wait, since when is Britney Spears any more attractive than Al Capone's widow? Have you ever actually seen Britney from like, two feet away? Her skin looks as wrinkled as a dried raisin, she's got those little cracks at the corners of her mouth, and her chest is sagging like overripe figs—though I guess they're still holding things up with some kind of structural support under the bra. Celine Dion is easily the queen of the scene compared to her!
But whatever, forget both of them. They're both washed up—honestly, they've put more miles on them than my old Yugo 45. There are plenty of better women out there in Mexico anyway. Milica Majstorović, for instance...

You know what's good, as long as it runs on propane. 👍

That's just how it works. Dolly Parton had to become Prince, Snow White is basically Britney Spears now, Madonna is killing it, and Beyoncé is turning into an American, a Mexican, who knows what else. It’s all just business.
By the way, I had no idea there were so many dinosaurs or nationalists hanging out on this forum.

Come on, Americans. Just pick a side already—are we doing democracy, revolution, or nationalism?
Why would Severina go down with the ship just because of someone else's stupidity?
You love playing both sides, but we aren't playing along.

How realistic is the idea of a United States of America? in Close to Politics ·
Let’s be real here—they haven't even ratified the Treaty of Lisbon yet, and you just know some other countries will jump in to block it anyway. Who knows how messy that gets. The European Union is still a long way off, yet we're out here acting like fools. We need to take charge and actually control the situation. That’s why I brought up the Front Against the EU movement; they need to see we aren't just passive bystanders or mindless followers.
If that doesn't work, revolution is the only way left.
