Honestly, I’m struggling with the feeling that I just have zero luck in life.
I always dream about hitting it big on a lottery ticket. I played for a couple of months, but I eventually quit because I actually save more money when I don't play. Then I tried poker for two days. No luck there either, so I stopped. I even gave roulette a shot a few times with some small change, but nothing happened. Even when it comes to romance, it's a total bust, despite a few brief flings here and there.
The only thing I have going for me is my job, but I really don't want to spend my entire life working for someone else. Why does the universe feel like it's against me? What am I supposed to do?
Look, there is no such thing as easy money. If you want real success, you have to put in the work. You can actually make a decent living through poker, but—and this is a big but—it takes serious TIME. Did you honestly think you could play for just two days and walk away with $10,000? 😁It doesn't work like that. You grind, you grind, you hit a slump; you push through, you lose your footing, you stumble, you grind again, you finally reach a milestone that keeps you motivated, and then you start the cycle all over again—grind, grind, grind, hit another wall, but eventually, you pull through.
If you want to see a profit in poker, you should be looking at playing five to eight hours a day for at least a month. And honestly? That logic applies to pretty much everything else in life, too.
