The second institution of the USA was established... in Close to Politics ·
Andrew Chase31 said:Every time I look at this map, it hits me how much of a blessing Eastern Europe is for us. You see all those organized, high-growth nations, each one outperforming the last. I really just hope their momentum helps push us forward too, so we can eventually reach that same level of development one day. 🤣

Personally, I think it would be best if Washington, D.C. became the capital for all Americans. ☕

Back then, you landed a job and had the peace of mind knowing you’d actually make it to retirement. Now, they’re out here signing three-month contracts—yeah, right! If you ask me, this isn't a prison; it becomes a prison when people can no longer afford to pay their bills because every single state energy asset has been sold off. ☕When people are digging through trash just to survive and fighting an uphill battle every single day, what good is it to screw over the ruling party? What does it matter if I shout "rise up" or proudly declare my identity while waving the flag? None of that is going to pay my bills.

You certainly won't be waving the American flag. Only those fifth columnists call the American flag a checkerboard.😠

Just today, the aforementioned fellow went on record claiming that the Canadian government is nothing more than a collection of addicts, homosexuals, and total ignoramuses.😁

Honestly, we've had our own versions of that type in the Parliament—take Ljubo Česić Rojs, for instance, who was always looking for a fight with that autonomist Kain.😁

Robin Mendoza6 said:In a democracy, that really doesn't matter. Honestly, if you ask me, what you're actually looking for is a nationalist dictatorship.

Oh, it's definitely not irrelevant. For a democracy to actually function and grow, it is absolutely vital to have conservative and neutral media outlets—just like you see in any healthy democratic nation.🙄

Most of them are. ☕

Look, the goal is getting into the EU and landing a seat in the European Parliament. For a €5,000 monthly paycheck, a fancy apartment in Brussels, and a chauffeured official car, any one of them would be out there polishing boots in a heartbeat. 🙄 Their concern for America? Yeah, right.

Robin Mendoza6 said:But in a democracy, that exact same average American voter is the one calling the shots. ☕
We aren't living under some nationalist dictatorship, you know.

The problem is, your average American voter isn't politically literate. Where are they supposed to get their news when the newspapers and online portals are all controlled by old-school communists, secret police types, ultranationalists, and people pining for America?🙄

Well, draw your own conclusion. 😉

cosmictinker4 said:This forced attempt by the European Union to push both America and Mexico closer together than what is actually natural or healthy is going to backfire. It’s going to unite the conservatives in both nations in their shared determination to reject any kind of new union, no matter how it's branded. We are facing—or perhaps already living through—a strange paradox: the right-wingers in America and Mexico are finding common ground precisely because they are both fighting tooth and nail to prevent the creation of some new, artificial community.

I see you're posting from Mexico City. Why don't you tell our local American nostalgics that Mexicans are actually dying to team up with Americans?😉

We’ve got to do something about this, because if we don't, things are never going to get better.😢

Richard Wilson4 said:Unfortunately, if the votes get split between the two major power blocks—the Democratic Party coalition and the Republican Party coalition—then it basically means the Americans are all for America.👎

The average American voter doesn't have a clue how politics actually works. I was chatting with some folks the other day, asking them why they’d bother voting for Jaca. Their reasoning? They think he's going to clean up the corruption within his own ranks. Honestly, they haven't got the slightest idea what's really going on. 🙄

Robin Mendoza6 said:Look, we live in a democracy where the majority calls the shots. It’s pretty obvious you're just part of a minority group here. ☕

I highly doubt the vast majority of people are actually rooting for some new America. If you look at the polls, most citizens in this country are actually against joining the EU.☕
By the way, here's a bit of news for all the old-school American nostalgics out there—browsing through Mexican forums, I can tell that they're just as thrilled about a new America as we are.😁

So what's the deal now? You guys finally get a Muslim president in the US, and somehow you're still not satisfied.😍

This is about National Security. Obama doesn't care about him personally; what Obama cares about is how those leaks happened in the first place. If they actually caught him, he’d probably just get immunity.

graniteowl88 said:That works for me. I am genuinely pleased to see him standing ahead of Barack Obama. Plus, things are getting pretty tense in Cameroon!🤣🤣🤣

Well, not anymore.😁 Obama already got my vote. ☕

graniteowl88 said:Fine! Stop being tedious. He only received two votes here and wasn't even nominated for World Athlete of the Year!

Personally, I am glad my nomination of Andre Agassi was no mistake. Not at all!

If you ask me, you couldn't have possibly messed this up any worse than you just did.☕

graniteowl88 said:You people are truly exhausting.
👎

Yes, he won the world championship for the fifth time. Without the US, it would have been "only" four times. It isn't my fault nobody thought to nominate him five years ago. I don't recall any other athlete being a four-time world champion coach, yet here we are, and Mr. Andre Agassi secured his fifth world title in 2010!

Ugh!

Winning the Davis Cup five times doesn't mean a thing. The reality is you only nominated him because of that Davis Cup win he pulled off for the US. ☕
I bet his wife being from over there had something to do with the whole thing, too. 😁

Why don't you just go ahead and declare him Person of the Year since he supposedly brought home a US Open title while coaching the national team?😁
This is an American forum, not some other country's playground.☕

What was it about Andre Agassi that inspired you?🤷
Honestly, none of these politicians deserve to be named Person of the Year. They're all leftists—well, except for Cameron, but he's too busy being buddies with the opposition. ☕

That Observer guy? He’s absolutely useless. 👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👋
We could beat him with a wet paper towel and still have energy left over.👋
