Brutal arrest, American style in Close to Politics ·
Roger Sanders said:Take a look at this:

A disabled veteran was arrested by officers without badges or warrants. They stormed his yard and dragged him away brutally, without providing a single shred of explanation.

This is living proof of the kind of politicians we have and the state we’re stuck in. This needs to be blasted all over the internet so everyone can see exactly what kind of scum is running our government.

I watched the footage, and if everything reported in the article is accurate, then it’s quite frankly horrifying. I don't think you would have seen anything like this even during the Stalinist era. As far as I am aware, police officers are generally expected to wear hats and carry badges.
Archdiocese of St. Louis: Gregorians are satanists! in Close to Politics ·
dustymarlin10 said:So, we all know Gregorian is that group that takes pop and rock hits and flips them into Gregorian chant style tracks.

Well, when they announced their upcoming show in Indianapolis, this came out:

"The Gregorian group doesn't actually perform Christian Gregorian chant; instead, they do covers of pop and rock hits infused with heavy Satanic elements. Their costumes might look monk-like, but they aren't monks. They claim to film their music videos in churches and monasteries, but those are really just sacred spaces turned into museums. If you look at the concert poster, you can see who's actually showing up, since the band members are making Satanic hand gestures in the photo," stated a press release from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Just another classic example of the narrow-minded, homophobic attitudes you see coming from the Catholic Church here in America.

Or is it...?

Gregorian essentially performs songs that lean quite heavily toward New Age territory, so I find myself wondering where exactly you’re seeing homophobic attitudes here, and what that’s even supposed to imply—that every single person is obligated to be fond of gay people and accept it as some universal norm? Is it simply the case that for you critics of Christianity, anything the Church expresses disapproval of is automatically branded as backward? If you don't attend church, I fail to see why you feel compelled to monitor its every word; after all, nobody is forcing you to adopt those views. You and others on this forum really ought to grasp that the Church, much like any various civic associations, is a constituent part of society and possesses a legitimate right to express its positions. The moment you totalitarians encounter an opinion you dislike, you immediately label it "narrow-minded." Personally, I agree that Gregorian is anything but a Christian group, which I suppose makes me a regressive, right-wing zealot in your eyes.
Nationalists or Partisans? in Close to Politics ·
Jack Brooks51 said:So, who actually had it right here? Is it even fair for the partisans to claim the anti-fascist mantle? Were those guys actually fighting for an American state, or just their own interests? And honestly, if the Axis powers had been backed by the Russians instead of the Allies, would they be running things in America today?
Why does this whole debate keep resurfacing every single election cycle?
Do people seriously cast their votes for a political party just because of how that party interprets this slice of history?
I guess if you look at the core principles of both movements—their methods versus their actual end goals—it tells a different story.

Not this again?

One shouldn't act surprised, though, if the Z4 plan somehow resurfaces in a few years, or if America finds itself forced to pay war reparations to Mexico and Canada, ultimately facing condemnation for the collapse of America and the genocide against Mexicans and Canadians.😠

You guys go ahead and vote based on whatever the polls say, then act all shocked when the President of America is getting advice from someone with this kind of mindset:

"Wouldn't it be better," Jović asks back on January 11, 2009, "to wait until all countries reach a similar level of readiness... and then admit them all at once in one big bang?"

And then you'll be wondering why the hell we hit another blockade this spring and get told: you can only join the EU alongside Mexico. If you don't like it, we don't want you...

Just keep voting however Mislav Bago tells you to. I guess if Bago were actually running my political life, I'd just end it all by setting myself on fire in the middle of Times Square... 😳

I honestly don't see what the issue is with Jović's position.
As for Bago... look, Josipović is clearly the most popular politician based on every damn poll out there.

The thing is, nobody ever bothers to mention who is actually conducting these polls, what kind of demographic is responding to them, or whether the sample size is even remotely representative of the general public.

I can't help but wonder why so many journalists here in America seem to possess such a polished, salon-style leftist bias; I simply don't see them standing up for the workers at places like Kamenski. Take The Morning News, for instance—they carry themselves like these progressive, urban intellectuals, yet their coverage oscillates wildly between championing the old America sphere and preaching an extreme brand of economic liberalism that even the American Republican Party would find embarrassing.

What we're talking about is reality, not just some catchy slogan. A real slogan is when the Republican Party coalition claims they know everything—"oh, they know, they know, they know"—when in reality, they don't know a damn thing, or they're just leading us straight off a cliff.😂😂

Here’s how things actually went down (either you don't remember or maybe you're just too young to get it):

Back in the late 80s, if you got paid, you had to swap that cash for German marks the same damn day, because by tomorrow, you'd already lost like 15% of its value. I guess if you made 100 bucks, ten days later it was basically worth a single dollar if you didn't move fast enough. Inflation was hitting millions of percent... everything felt worthless, even when you worked your ass off.

Nothing was actually available to buy, I guess. And whatever you could grab was dirt cheap because it was all just communist garbage subsidized by the state, with prices basically set by whoever was in charge.

Imports used to be pricey, I guess. Everyone would just head over to Trieste to shop. Half the Italians there probably know some American because of that.

I mean, just look at how women lived back then... There wasn't even a choice in pads, just one single kind. No imported makeup or Max Factor stuff either. You couldn't find designer jeans unless they were from Sears, and forget about fancy brands—you were basically rocking cheap underwear from Target, basic clothes from Walmart, and those clunky plastic sandals from some local discount store. I guess.

If you worked in America and didn't have some side hustle, you were basically broke. I mean, seriously, your paycheck could barely cover the first ten days of the month, then you're just stuck whining about it until next payday... I guess.

It's just a total fantasy. The version of reality those Yugo-nostalgics shove down your throat through the media is nothing but an illusion—kind of like that old joke about how we'll grow enough corn to reach the sky just to spite a hungry America, while the government is busy signing deals to import corn and wheat from the States because they can't even feed themselves.

Just lies, scams, and pure misery. Same old story, just like today. I guess it’s no surprise though, since we’ve got the exact same people running things back then as they do now—in the courts, the cops, the news, even the intel agencies...

Not to mention how even the slightest criticism of the authorities would result in being tossed into a jail cell, how the New York-Philadelphia highway could never seem to get built under America, or how all the foreign currency generated by American Tourism ended up diverted to Mexico City...

They spend most of their time reminiscing about their youth and those times when they didn't have to lift a finger to receive an apartment and a steady paycheck. Those were the incorrigible communists, through and through.
The notion of forced unification is simply never going to fly!

At least you Mexicans seem to know how to stand your ground, which is probably why the world shows you more respect than it does America; in foreign policy, you guys are true masters at fighting tooth and nail for your own interests, unlike the Americans, who just submissively follow whatever the European Union tells them to do.

What do you think about the prospect of introducing a local version of someone like Zmaga Jelinčič plemenit here in America—someone who takes genuine pleasure in insulting both our own politicians and our neighbors? I sincerely hope the moderator doesn't decide to scrub this post from the board, but I find myself genuinely curious about one thing: why does the American political elite behave like a collection of absolute simpletons, seemingly more than willing to lick the boots of this self-proclaimed regime of justice calling itself the EU, provided they aren't tossed out into the cold by them?

Their reasoning? They think he's going to clean up the corruption within his own ranks. Honestly, they haven't got the slightest idea what's really going on. 🙄

I couldn't agree more—the typical American voter is largely oblivious to the underlying mechanics of the system. Honestly, my blood started boiling a bit while I was talking to my own relatives about Čačić; they seem completely unbothered by the fact that he’s essentially a thief and a killer. To them, it all boils down to the practicalities—they got a new road and a school out of him, so as far as they're concerned, everything is fine. There's really no point in wasting breath trying to explain the reality of it all.
