Sanctions on Russia in War in Ukraine ·
The United Kingdom is basically falling apart at the seams:

I mean, because of all those sanctions, they can't even get their hands on bitumen anymore. It’s just... things are going south.

What on earth is Ukraine trying to pull by shelling a nuclear plant? Like, seriously, wtf

rustywalker82 said:Oil prices and those Russian raids are climbing again because OPEC is playing it exactly how they want by tightening up the supply.

It’s high time we scrapped any energy sanctions entirely, kept everything else on the table, and just ramped up the flow of weapons to Ukraine.
Instead of funneling more cash toward OPEC and Russia, we should be hitting derivatives with higher taxes. We could take that money and dump it straight into renewables or use it to fund the Ukrainians with missiles, drones, and all that gear. Let's put the populism aside and actually use our heads here. We're making some pretty dumb moves right now, and nobody wants to admit it.

I think I read somewhere that the main reason prices might actually drop is because of all that oil being released from the US strategic reserves. But, I guess the real issue here is that those reserves aren't exactly infinite, you know?

Then there's this whole thing where we're expecting a deal with Iran that would lift the sanctions on their oil.
But honestly, I mean, it seems like it's in the interest of Russia, the Saudi, and Israel—all for different reasons, I suppose—to make sure that deal falls through.

Declare a "no-fly" zone where not a single shell can land. NATO would then secure the conditions to enforce this effectively. The justification? Protecting the facility and all of Europe.

Pretty clever, really.
It seems obvious that whoever is targeting the nuclear plant is basically baiting a nuclear disaster just to trigger an intervention by NATO or UN forces right at the plant itself.

That would be one way to kick out whoever is currently holding the plant.

The Canadians don't seem to give a damn about sanctions, honestly. They’re busy building two more reactors with the Russians over in Paks...😁

It feels like they've started desperately scraping the bottom of the barrel 😁

Germany, Canada, Greece, and Cyprus are going to be the ones blocking it.

We're looking at street protests toppling governments and total Balkanization—basically tearing things apart like back in the 90s... I mean, Hillary Clinton or Madeleine Albright practically said it themselves, how unfair it is that Russia has all those massive natural resources

Then there's the whole history of bad blood with the Anglosphere.

Like that armed incident from last year where a super modern US Navy Ship Deliberately Sailed Close to Crimea

Like, seriously—what else does he care about besides having a direct stranglehold on everyone else's politics? What are you even on about? Concessions? Please. Where are the military bases? Where are the missiles? Labs? Viruses? Come on, urbanotter—you finally showed your true colors...

He’s probably talking about that missile defense shield the Americans set up back in Romania and Poland in the early 2000s. That was during the Bush era, when he was basically best friends with the V. P. excuse.

The whole excuse was protecting Europe from long-range Iranian missiles, right?! And then there was opening a NATO office in Sevastopol... and then that whole string of color revolutions across the former USSR states, all backed by Soros—or rather, Western intelligence agencies (we had stuff like that too, I guess).

I mean, I think it was pretty obvious to Moscow back then what was being cooked up.

The front lines are totally stagnant now. It feels like the war is basically over at this point; everyone is just sitting around waiting for the right conditions to finally sign Minsk 3.

The Belgian Prime Minister is predicting ten brutal winters ahead, while Macron is out there claiming the era of abundance is officially over—just one long, continuous whine.

At this point, you can't even keep track of who’s slapping sanctions on whom anymore.

And meanwhile, the Saudis have just been quietly flipping Russian oil the whole time.

goldenowl73 said:So, I was just catching up with some folks over in Kyiv, and man, the vibe is heavy right now. Everyone there is bracing for a massive wave of bombing coming next week—specifically looking at Tuesday and Wednesday as the big danger zones. Some families have already packed up and sent their kids and wives off toward the West, though even out there, people are saying nowhere is truly safe anymore.

Is this just some rumor blowing up on social media, or is it actually hitting the mainstream news outlets?

And here go our local media outlets again, desperately scrambling to justify the assassination of this complete nobody. wtf

Looks like that fake democratic veneer they love to flaunt is cracking pretty fast, I guess.
