Smugglers will straight up sink boats full of migrants the second they spot a Greek Navy vessel or police boat.
It's basically the same thing happening over in Lampedusa.

There’s just no way they’re actually going to deport them,
Their home countries won't even take them back... I mean, places like Afghanistan, Morocco, or Tunisia, they all just flat-out refuse to accept their own citizens anymore.
And honestly, for a lot of people, it’s not even possible to figure out where they originally came from in the first place.
