The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·

I'm feeling pretty certain this footage is actually older, probably dating all the way back to 2014.

I honestly don't buy the idea that they’re only using a third of their strength either. Their whole strategy was clearly designed for a lightning strike—I mean, that paratrooper drop near New York City just proves they were already plotting to take over Washington, D.C., and probably swallow Zelenskyy whole before anyone could even react. Now they've thrown everything they've got into the mix, especially targeting the capital, but even then, it doesn't look like it'll be enough.
Plus, they're bringing in those Chechen fighters now. And you've got Belarus massing troops along the southern border. I heard Kazakhstan basically turned them down because nobody even bothered to ask them for help in the first place, right?
It really doesn't look like things are going according to the Russ playbook. Can they actually pull this off by winging it as they go? Honestly, every single day that passes, it feels less and less likely.

That would basically be a breach of contract—and honestly, just an open invitation for Putin to start bombing us. And given his current headspace? He’d probably take that bait in a heartbeat.

I think Erdo already turned that down—maybe.

Look, over the last few years, Turkey has actually held their own against the Russians quite a few times, and they hold their ground pretty solidly whenever things get heated. It’s not like Russia is even in a position to make any real threats toward Turkey right now, unless you're talking about full-blown nuclear armageddon.
Plus, let's not forget how Erdogan basically gave Putin a reality check when he started complaining about those drone sales.

The Lira is bouncing around again, showing some life. I wonder if Erdogan might try to call up his buddies in Moscow and Beijing to see if they’ll bail him out? Though, honestly, even China doesn't look like it's on solid ground lately, so at this rate, he's probably stuck looking toward Moscow for a lifeline

Look, I don't think Erdogan has actually solidified his grip on power enough to just completely steamroll the elections by wiping out or sidelining the opposition. I mean, if you look at what happened during the local elections, he actually lost control of some of the biggest major cities in the country.

Honestly, we’re looking at something that’s more than just a simple bailout—it’s a massive lifeline. Over the last two years, they’ve been draining the central bank's reserves to keep things afloat, burning through about $165 billion. Even if Qatar stepped up, or if the UAE decided to throw in the towel, they wouldn't come anywhere close to covering that kind of hole.
Plus, if you listen to the unofficial numbers floating around, inflation is already spiraling way past 50%.

The Sultan is playing that dangerous game of gambling with cheap money again just to juice the numbers before the election, but honestly, he’s already shaken the foundation so hard that hyperinflation is staring us right in the face. And the central bank? They’ve basically blown their entire budget and have nothing left in the tank.
Good luck to the Turks trying to shake this idiot loose.
