Harold Martin10 said:We saw this kind of chatter all over the internet back in 2006—if not even earlier, though I wasn't really paying attention then.🙂 I distinctly remember those big-name gurus claiming the US dollar would be completely worthless by 2008.

Well, why don't you name them so we can see for ourselves?

It seems you have no idea who Jim Rickards is... he is the man who drafted currency war scenarios for the Pentagon back in 2009—essentially predicting exactly what we are witnessing today. He isn't just another one of those self-proclaimed doomsday prophets you seem to be thinking of... and from what I gather, he isn't suggesting the dollar will simply vanish, but rather that the entire landscape of that sector could undergo a profound shift.

Anyway,
take a look at this statement from Hu Jintao:
"the current international system is the product of the past"
I assume you know who he is.

And then what?.....did you manage to bottom out again using High-Frequency Trading firms just to scrape together a 0.39% gain? 😂

Jim Rickards' take on an Armageddon scenario—unlikely, perhaps, but certainly not impossible.

The stock market probably needs another correction (maybe down to 1370?). Even if the Dollar is basically dead, it still has to hit 200 DMA, which is why everything feels stuck right now.

Truthfully, things are behaving quite strangely right now... though when I look at S&P Global (which I always do)😍 I have to admit, it's holding up remarkably well relative to the price of silver...

Typically, when metal prices climb, S&P Global ends up trading higher than silver itself—if silver hits $32, then S&P Global hits $33 or $34. But currently, we have silver sitting at $32.50–$33 while S&P Global is up at $39.50...😉

Regardless, the real metric should be how GDX and the IMF are performing, shouldn't it?

By the way, while gold and silver were dragging yesterday, my mining picks actually managed a 2% to 4% gain. 👏

Well, while you guys were busy watching the games😍........gold hit 1714 instead of 1690......

James Turk: The German gold is gone...

Today James Turk shocked King World News When He stated, “The entire German gold hoard was gone because it had been leased into the marketplace. Meaning All German Gold worldwide, which should have been sitting in vaults, was actually emptied by 2001 because of The Bundesbank leasing activities.”
Turk further noted, “Half of The Gold They ( The Germans leased themselves. The other half of Germany ’ gold hoard was also eventually leased out via complex swaps with the US. But the bottom line is that by 2001, that gold simply wasn't there. Every bit of German gold that was supposed to be secured in vaults had been leased directly into the market.”

Now, just imagine what happens if the Federal Reserve suddenly demands that the gold leased out by Germany be returned immediately—I'd love to see how the markets react to a move like that.

Why should I go looking for them? No need to censor... just find them yourself. 🤣.......find them on your own. 😉

Besides, you don't exactly have anything better to do today anyway. 😂

What are you even talking about?
Anyway, I’ve noticed you’ve been acting like you actually know me for a while now, constantly barking about "my" moves and stuff.
Why don't you be a man and just say it publicly... who am I? Or just shoot me a DM if you're too chicken for that.

I'm talking about that nervous energy when I mentioned PM was heading up, and you started losing it—that kind of reaction only comes from traders who are positioned on the wrong side of the market.😉

Look, even if nothing else matters, I'm not wasting my time on crazy predictions...🙂

And what about those cigarettes—back when you were absolutely livid at everything and everyone... does that count toward those 250 days too?🤣

Does that mean you won't be able to secure your 0.39% today?😂

Anthony Evans78 said:It wasn't actually all that bad, considering it was produced by CBS 🙂
Of course, the disciples of Keynesian pseudo-economics were busy screaming that gold was in a bubble, but I guess we should have seen that coming 🙂

I have to admit, I found it baffling why the woman didn't just suggest people stop buying gold at the end of the segment if she’s truly convinced it's a bubble... that would be the logical move for someone holding that view.. 😉

By the way, physical gold is incredibly hard to come by at these inflated prices... so either the price will return to its intrinsic value, or the intrinsic value will catch up to the price 😁

The Federal Reserve has finally made its move here in the States 😉

I picked up 2 kg of silver last year and honestly, I'm not thrilled with how things are moving. Plus, seeing that 15% gets scooped up every year by folks like me, on top of what goes into jewelry... I feel like I missed the boat. Just being real with you guys.😢

Everything is fine... I'm just pulling your leg a little...

That said, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of things going "south."
Of course, we need to define what we actually mean by that term—😍 when the three of us get together, we all have our own perspectives, and our definitions of a total breakdown vary quite a bit.

Some might view "going south" as a sudden cataclysmic event—something you can't prepare for because, ultimately, nothing matters once it hits. However, if you view it the way I do—as a scenario where global food and energy distribution face serious disruptions—then taking action actually makes sense. You’d look foolish if you thought such a thing was impossible while acting like a carefree little cricket from a fairy tale.

In that light, precious metals like gold serve a specific purpose for those who hold them—and silver does the same.
A lot of media pundits claim holding gold is foolish while they cling to paper currency—but they fail to realize that gold is the ultimate money. You can exchange it for whatever you need anywhere in the world, which isn't exactly an option with the dollar. 😉

analogharbor44 said:In a situation like that, I’m grabbing my piece and getting what I need, no biggie!

Sure—assuming someone doesn't shoot you first just to grab your sidearm... simply because they want your ammo. 😂

So, who is actually the bigger doomsayer here? Is it us—people planning to buy groceries using gold or silver bullion—or is it you, thinking you're going to need a gun for every trip to the store? 😉

analogharbor44 said:And what happens when the grid goes down, you're sitting on a pile of scrap metal, and the local Walmart can't even sell you groceries because their registers are dead?😂

And what if they switch to manual transactions—no power, no digital payments, just old-school cash... 😂
Then we simply buy what we need. 😁

You're getting ahead of yourself.
I have a feeling it's gonna take a hell of a lot longer for this kind of money—you know, actual paper cash—to completely vanish from circulation.😁

As long as the power stays on, we'll have our cartridges—electronic ones, at least...😍

For everyone else who is feeling a bit lost, here are some ideas from Doug Casey.......
