Did anyone happen to stop by that guy's booth at the big trade show?

Lower back pain/Lordosis help?
in Health ·
I see there’s already a thread going about scoliosis, so I figured I’d start one specifically focused on lordosis.
I’m really curious if there’s a legitimate way—maybe through specific exercises or something else—to permanently fix my posture? To give you some context, I previously did some rehab exercises for neck pain, and that's actually feeling pretty good now, but my overall posture is still a mess. My neck tends to jut forward and my upper back arches too much; honestly, just trying to walk around with decent posture feels like a massive workout.
For the mods: It might be a great idea to open up a dedicated "physiotherapy" sub-forum.

Time that could have been dedicated to pursuing actual knowledge (even if that means studying botanical research, provided it's done rigorously) and truly contributing to the fight.
With all due respect to your profession, I have to say that this perspective goes against basic human nature—specifically, our fundamental will to live.
So, what you're essentially arguing is that it’s smarter for a patient to spend their remaining time (after "conventional" medicine has basically given up on them) with their family or buried in scientific research (though I'm not quite sure how that works), rather than grabbing at that last straw of hope and turning to alternative treatments? To put it bluntly, you're suggesting they should just wait to die instead of fighting for a chance through other means.
Look, I’m not some radical advocate for alternative medicine, nor am I a hardline believer in the "classics." I just try to stay open to every single possibility, which I believe is the only right way to approach this.
That’s why I just can't wrap my head around the logic of: "better to wait for death surrounded by family than to try an alternative."
Or did I completely misinterpret what you meant? 🤷
Can anyone here who (unfortunately) has experience dealing with cancer tell me a bit about Breussov's method—specifically that 42-day fasting protocol?
I’ve heard the core idea behind this approach is basically starving both yourself and the cancer cells at the same time, potentially forcing the carcinoma to retreat.
On the flip side, I keep hearing from so many people that you really need to bolster your immune system during these battles, which obviously requires consistent nutrition and fluids. To me, those two philosophies seem to be in total opposition!
To give some context, a relative of mine passed away from cancer after trying this method, though it didn't work out. Mind you, he wasn't strictly following all the instructions, so that might have played a role in the outcome.

I honestly have to wonder why that total washout Rex Tillerson was still working as a commentator. Don't get me wrong, I thought the officiating yesterday was actually top-notch, but once Bo made one or two ambiguous calls—situations where you really can't tell if they were right or wrong in the heat of the moment—he immediately started spinning these wild conspiracy theories about the home crowd, the refs, and some massive brawl... It’s like he’s trying to build an alibi for the team as if he were the head coach himself! The absolute peak of absurdity was when he lost his mind after Vory got sent off for intentionally playing the ball with his hand. He was spitting rage left and right, but the second the slow-motion replay clearly showed exactly what Vory did, he went dead silent. Just complete silence. What a disaster; just admit it, man! Just say, "Yeah, I missed that one," and move on.

Oh, that’s not quite what I meant! I was actually asking about things more relevant to our neck of the woods here in the States. Is it actually possible to catch an STI through saliva?

This might sound like a bit of a silly question, but I’m genuinely curious. Is there any chance of catching a more serious infection—and I'm not just talking about the common cold or a little flu—if a tiny droplet of saliva happens to touch the mucous membrane of the eye?
