I see there’s already a thread going about scoliosis, so I figured I’d start one specifically focused on lordosis.

I’m really curious if there’s a legitimate way—maybe through specific exercises or something else—to permanently fix my posture? To give you some context, I previously did some rehab exercises for neck pain, and that's actually feeling pretty good now, but my overall posture is still a mess. My neck tends to jut forward and my upper back arches too much; honestly, just trying to walk around with decent posture feels like a massive workout.

For the mods: It might be a great idea to open up a dedicated "physiotherapy" sub-forum.

I’ll bump this thread rather than starting a whole new one.

There are endless YouTube videos out there claiming you can fix this by doing specific exercises to target certain muscle groups.

My question is—can I actually get Medicare to cover this? Is there any way to get a referral to a specialist who handles this stuff? Or am I just stuck doing whatever random workouts I find online?

I noticed there isn't a thread on lordosis on this forum yet. To put it simply—lordosis is when that lower spine curve gets way too exaggerated, which ends up pushing your stomach forward and tilting your upper lower back backward. My issue is that while my posture doesn't actually look that bad visually, I really feel it whenever I’m on my feet for too long, even when I'm trying my best to stand straight. Like, if I stand up tall (the curve is still there, obviously), I look fine aesthetically, but after a few hours, I start getting this ache right in the middle of my lower back—somewhere between the upper and lower sections—and it even hits near my shoulder blades a bit. I'm standing almost exactly like the guy in the photo below. So, I was wondering—should I go see a physical therapist, or can anyone dealing with something similar suggest the kind of exercises they used to fix it?

Usually, lower back lordosis just ends up compensating for whatever kyphosis is going on up top...

Has anyone here gone through spinal surgery for lordosis? I’ve been dealing with some increasingly intense headaches lately, and I guess I'm starting to second-guess everything. 😢
