Why don't we just have a dedicated task force to handle these kinds of decisions?
Why does the Government feel the need, for the second time now right before the school year starts, to play this high-and-mighty authority figure, insisting that we all have to follow the CDC's lead regarding classroom instruction?

Besides, if you interpret this government decision correctly, it applies strictly to principals and heads of major universities.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the general public, nor does it affect students or pupils.

Maybe you can find something to complain about regarding the missing stamp then.

Thanks.
The guidelines from the CDC and the Department of Education still haven't been signed, and frankly, we have no idea which group of bureaucrats is just recycling last year's rules behind the scenes.
If we're stuck with this "pandemic-style" schooling indefinitely, then after two years of COVID-19, I am officially done with people just copying old instructions and listening to Šimetinka’s nonsense about kids wearing masks just so they feel like part of the team.

Ahahaha, today at a high school, a professor gave his students a full lecture on "lizard people and the pandemic."
They're tearing them apart from the inside. In your face Fuchs!

An excellent piece regarding principal accountability.

My only critique is that they are wasting time writing articles instead of securing legal counsel to mount a collective push against principals and prepare for potential lawsuits.

Šimetinka just mentioned that kids aren't actually required to wear masks at school, but they choose to wear them just to fit in with the group.
And she's supposed to be a scientist?

"All school staff are responsible for mask-wearing," she noted, adding that the principal ultimately holds responsibility for the institution.

But what about the students who refuse to wear masks because their parents back them up?
When asked how to handle students who won't wear masks with full parental support, Pavić Šimetin stated that masks must be worn—if not for themselves, then to protect their own health—and emphasized that we must always consider the seriously ill children attending school. She added that it's hardest on a child if they are the only one in class not wearing a mask while all their peers are.

"It isn't good for the child; kids don't want to stand out from their peers, they just want to feel part of the team", she said.

On August 26, 2021, the CDC and the Department of Education released GUIDELINES for preventing and controlling COVID-19 in the 2021/22 school year.
UNVERIFIED AND UNSIGNED!
https://www.logicno.com/politika/kre...-hvala-ti.html

"It should be stated immediately that these guidelines carry no binding authority and must be taken exactly as they are written. They are guidelines—or rather, recommendations. This is clearly evident from the text itself, which mentions this repeatedly. There is no legal way to sanction anyone for failing to follow these recommendations. Therefore, teachers, professors, and students cannot be sanctioned in any way if they find these guidelines harmful or useless. To date, not a single misdemeanor or any other legal proceeding has been finalized against anyone in America for violating these measures, and I don't even have information that one has been initiated. Thus, the idea that we must strictly adhere to these measures is simply a myth. Children, in particular, are under no obligation to follow these recommendations. Besides, the harm these measures cause to children is common knowledge."

Principals, teachers, professors, and staff should not indulge in excessive zeal and treat these (at best, educational materials) as some kind of mandate. Specifically, they should avoid pressuring children, belittling them, or claiming they are required to wear masks, disinfect their hands, and so on. We saw far too much of that over the last two school years.

I recommend that principals, teachers, and professors read these Guidelines. In fact, these Guidelines are significantly less strict than the previous ones. Let’s look for ways to make life easier, not harder.

If parents feel that masks are unnecessary or harmful, they should simply inform the school, or whatever institution their child attends, that they consider the recommendations detrimental and have instructed their child not to wear a mask, not to disinfect their hands, and that they will allow their children to socialize and play without distance, etc.

A parent has the right to come into a school and request information not just regarding their child's behavior, but also concerning how the institution treats the child. The institution must respect the rights and obligations of parents, as well as the rights of the children.

Children have the right to full medical assistance without unnecessary obstacles. Parents should clearly demand this wherever it is being withheld."

Monitoring and assessing the impact of mask usage among children
"If authorities decide to recommend masking for children, there needs to be a steady stream of data to track
the effectiveness of these measures. Monitoring and evaluation should be established from day one, including metrics that measure the impact on the child's health,
mental well-being, the reduction in SARS-CoV-2 transmission, the motivations and barriers regarding mask usage, as well as secondary
effects on development and learning, school attendance, communication skills, or school access—not to mention the impact on children with developmental
disabilities, medical conditions, or other special needs.
The resulting data should be used to shape communication strategies, teacher and caregiver training, parental support,
student engagement activities, and the distribution of materials that help kids learn how to wear masks correctly.
Analysis ought to account for gender, age, and physical, social, and economic factors to ensure policy implementation
actually helps reduce health and social inequalities."

I highly doubt that Fuchs, Šimetinka, and the company have any of this actual data or assessment.

Terry Hernandez10 said:Fuchs: Unvaccinated professors are required to wear masks

School hasn't even officially kicked off yet, and it’s already turning into a total circus because they're leaning so hard on unvaccinated teachers and parents.
From what I can see, it's just going to be more politicians scoring points with these mandates, which have nothing to do with actual safety and everything to do with who holds power at the moment.
Are we really looking at the kind of deep divisions seen in the US, where Democrats and Republicans go to war over these kinds of rules?

The Mayor of the City of Čabro, Antonio Dražović (living wall), along with European Parliament representative Ivan Vilibor sinčić, held a press conference this Saturday to announce they are scrapping mandatory mask mandates in schools within the City of Čabro.

Mayor Dražović, acting in his capacity as head of the Civilian Headquarters of Čabro, officially signed the decision to lift the mask mandate in schools this past Friday, sharing the reasoning with the community today.

"Masks aren't just failing to protect our little ones; they are actually harming children's mental and physical well-being. We've seen a massive spike in depression among school-aged kids compared to previous years, and masks combined with the restrictive measures from this incompetent Task Force are definitely part of the problem," stated the Mayor, who had already moved to end mask requirements in municipal buildings earlier on.

Terry Hernandez10 said:Fuchs mentioned in an interview with a major news network tonight that COVID-19 test results won't be required for parent-teacher conferences—unless, of course, a principal decides to make it an issue.

Principals don't actually have that kind of authority, and if they even attempt to encourage segregation or discrimination, they should face criminal charges.

jadetinker85 said:Are you sure those tests actually work? My niece is in isolation right now with a fever of 99.5, she took one, and it came back negative. We're pretty skeptical about them.

Rapid tests and masks are nothing more than window dressing to make us feel safe. The rapid tests basically act as a buffer to keep people from losing their minds if an expensive PCR was the only option available.
The only real metric should be actual symptoms, not everything that gets dumped under the umbrella of so-called COVID-19.
By going along with rapid tests, wearing masks, and now staying quiet about the mandates in our schools, we are all becoming co-creators of this pandemic.

Guests on the special PBS education segment "Is There Anything New?" featured an American English professor, Tamara Šoić...

She noted how the start of the school year is becoming increasingly stressful every single year. Instead of looking forward to classes with excitement, today's kids are facing nothing but pure chaos, she remarked. Mrs. Pavić Šimetin certainly didn't help matters with some of her recent comments, she added.

Honestly, someone finally had the guts to call out Capakov's whining right there on national TV.

Meanwhile, the person being called out isn't even embarrassed, choosing instead to hide behind last year's outdated and incorrect epidemiological decisions.

"Students in upper elementary grades and high schoolers will have to wear masks if they can't maintain a 1.5m distance in elementary school or 2 meters in high school," stated Ivana Pavić Šimetin, Deputy Director of the CDC. She also mentioned that local task forces will have the authority to adjust measures based on the current health situation. She noted that 58 percent of educators have been vaccinated, though that number needs to go up. This ensures schools can stay open, and there is no thought of making it mandatory in America, she concluded.

Susan James said:Why though? I actually think this could be pretty helpful. We’ve had a massive pile of straight A's lately—mostly because grading was so loose before, and then it became super inconsistent during the pandemic.

For the kids, this acts as a reality check before they head into high school entrance exams. Plus, it gives teachers and school administrators a clear look at where students actually stand.

Personally, I’m really hoping all high schools implement an entrance exam.
All these top grades combined with the current system just don't make much sense.

It’s because these numbers won't give us even a vague idea of how functional or successful our education system really is when it's running under normal conditions without constant interruptions and restrictions. What's the point of testing if we already know exactly who to blame for the results? The COVID-19 crisis.
Holding exams under these circumstances—especially with the way they're designed to avoid actual evaluation—is completely nonsensical. It's pure stupidity. These unearned A's will come back to haunt everyone, showing up in the first year of high school, or even as far down the line as seventh or eighth grade. We should just implement entrance exams instead.

Bringing these exams back after two whole school years were completely trashed by online learning is pure idiocy.

Finally, someone is actually speaking up about how kids are being oppressed by these masks.

They've even provided legal templates for sending courtesy notices to principals and those in charge.

nimbleranger17 said:They pulled this exact same stunt last year, too:

The Department of Education has both the legal authority and the actual responsibility to issue sub-legislative acts—you know, things like specific guidelines, regulations, and official recommendations—for everything falling under its jurisdiction.

When it comes to how preschools, elementary schools, and high schools operate, that falls squarely and definitively within the Department of Education's domain.

It looks like the bureaucrats over at the CDC and the Department just copy-pasted last year's document; a whole year has gone by and they haven't evolved their stance on masks one bit.
As a parent, this is incredibly frustrating. I’m honestly fed up that the absolute charlatans at the CDC and the political appointees at the Department are still "in charge" of measures they can't even bother to update based on global insights—insights from other countries that clearly show the psychological and developmental toll this takes on our kids.
I am genuinely stunned by the public silence and the blind trust being placed in people who haven't published a single piece of scientific research on this critical topic in the last year.
2021/2022 School Year in Coronavirus ·
I’m genuinely confused here.
Who on earth gave the CDC and the Department of Education the authority to issue these
GUIDELINES FOR PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING THE COVID-19 EPIDEMIC
REGARDING THE OPERATION OF PRE-SCHOOLS, ELEMENTARY, AND HIGH SCHOOLS DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR?
See, we are talking about epidemiological measures here, and those kinds of guidelines can only be legally issued by the Emergency Task Force (see post 143). In their last decision, they clearly stated that mask mandates don't apply to schools since they are exempt, yet here these people are, imposing masks through their own guidelines without any legal standing to do so.
To top it off, nothing in this document is even signed or officially verified.

Who is actually running this circus?
2021/2022 School Year in Coronavirus ·
jadetinker85 said:Sure. They basically decided to trigger a massive wave as soon as possible, though predicting what measures come next is a toss-up. Given the tourist season and how long immunity lasts, that big spike should have hit around December, not now at the end of September. Then again, maybe the toll will be lighter—once heating season kicks in, people's nasal passages dry out, weakening that natural defense against respiratory viruses.

Honestly, it might be more effective if they actually educated people on maintaining nasal hygiene and keeping humidity levels up at home during the winter, instead of just repeating that "get vaccinated" mantra all over the news.

David Mendoza4 said:Schools got some instructions from the CDC the other day saying masks should stay just like last year—
students from 5th grade onward, subject teachers, and staff,
if it’s an institution where the spacing between students in classrooms is less than 1.5 m, they have to
wear masks; high schoolers and teachers, if it’s an institution where the spacing in
classrooms is less than roughly 2 m, they have to wear masks.

The date on the guidance is August 26, 2021.

Since this decision is dated August 30, I'm really crossing my fingers that they actually changed their minds, which would be totally awesome!!

mellowskipper said:We just received a notice from the principal stating that kids between the ages of 5 and 8 are still required to wear masks.

This whole thing needs to be cleared up immediately this week. Reach out to your principals and show them the actual decision. Right now, nobody seems to know who's actually in charge.
Is it the task force, the CDC, the local education departments, or the principals??

The breathing part isn't even an issue for me, but having something stuck to my face for too long? It gets old fast. Yesterday I had one on for three hours and was just counting down the minutes until I could finally breathe free. Again, it’s not about the air, it’s just annoying.

The latest guidance from the government headquarters regarding masks has just been released.

Tapatalk
The government has officially issued a mandate regarding the mandatory use of face masks or medical masks.
To protect the American public from COVID-19, this decision implements necessary epidemiological measures requiring everyone to wear face masks or medical masks.
Face masks or medical masks must be worn correctly, ensuring that both the nose and mouth remain fully covered at all times while wearing them.

Staff at social service facilities providing residential care, along with any visitors allowed to see the residents;
Drivers, all other transit employees, and passengers on public transportation.
Retail employees and customers during their time spent in stores.
Hospitality workers who interact directly with guests or take part in serving and preparing food and beverages.
Guests in indoor dining establishments are permitted only while seated and actively consuming food or beverages.
Employees of retail businesses, public institutions, and various agencies who interact directly with customers, as well as the clients themselves who visit these retail establishments, institutions, and agencies.
Service industry employees who work in close contact with clients;
Office employees working in environments where maintaining a minimum physical distance of six feet is not feasible;
Faithful congregants gathered together during religious ceremonies and indoor worship services.
Spectators attending indoor sporting events;
Everyone attending any kind of social gathering or public event held indoors;
Individuals who are mandated to do so by their employer;
People in outdoor settings where maintaining physical distance simply isn't an option;
Even in other settings or circumstances where it isn't feasible to ensure that only individuals with a digital COVID certificate are allowed entry.
Face masks or medical masks aren't required if you fall under the recommended exemptions posted on the CDC website, or in any situation where it's guaranteed that everyone at a public event or within a specific venue holds an EU digital COVID certificate.

Employers, organizers of social gatherings, public events, and all other types of assemblies are required to enforce mask mandates and ensure that face masks or medical masks are being worn properly.

This Decision does not apply to:

Healthcare institutions are strictly required to follow all professional guidelines and official recommendations.
Working within elementary and high schools, universities, and preschool education centers.
The decision goes into effect on September 1st and will remain in force until September 15th, 2021.

Does this mean that kids aren't covered by this decision, so nobody at schools can cite it to demand masks?
