Overdrafts and negative balances: What's allowed? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
You guys are looking at this all wrong... that overdraft is basically just a pre-approved line of credit sitting there ready to go, and honestly, I’m fine with it. I’d much rather stick to using my credit card for most things, but having that cushion available is great for when life throws a curveball you didn't see coming.

I guess personally, those short outdoor school trips were actually pretty great for my kids. I almost feel bad that we don't do those anymore. Besides, requiring a PCR test for that seems completely pointless.

I feel for him..
It's totally normal that they aren't doing it—besides, if anything, an antigen test is plenty good enough, you don't need a full-blown PCR.

Sure, maybe... but on what actual basis, though? And honestly, why even push this school thing right now, given everything else going on?

Why on earth are they asking for a PCR test for third graders just to go on a nature school trip?
It's for the Red Cross camp on Mount Sljeme!
Jerry Martinez6 said:I don't think so, because in my experience, they shut down my overdraft the second I stopped receiving a paycheck here in the States—it was pretty much instant, maybe after two months? I can't remember exactly. I'm not sure if the rules have changed lately, but as I understand it, if you aren't drawing an income in the US, you aren't getting credit from the Federal Reserve, and I assume it works the same way with all the other major banks. If that's the case, we're talking about 800,000 able-bodied, employed Americans plus retirees, veterans, and so on. And these are the ones deep in the red—so what about everyone else? Are they just slightly in the red? Is everybody in debt? How is this even possible?

It’s a never-ending cycle... you go under, you claw your way out, then you fall right back in. Over the last two years, I’ve swung from being $70k up to being $20k in the hole.

Maybe try to actually proući the material before weighing in. There’s plenty of documentation out there, and it isn't quite the scenario you're implying.

I’m not implying anything. The Indian soy strain is spreading among the unvaccinated... so why the hell are they talking about lockdowns for the vaccinated again? Is the AZ vaccine really that bad?

Megan Green72 said:Yeah, you're wrong. It actually does protect against infection, and if you do end up getting hit, it'll likely be a mild case instead of the heavy stuff.☕
Plus, plenty of studies show vaccinated people slow down the spread.

slyfox43 said:If we accept the idea that "perfidious extortion" refers to the notion that social fragmentation is tied to a declining infection rate—and that this decline reduces the overall risk for everyone, including children—then calling it "perfidious extortion" feels, well, rather perfidious itself. It still strikes me as a classic case of selfishness and the free-rider problem.

And let's not forget, this time last year, we managed to beat COVID without even needing vaccines... hmmm... see, there's the rub right there. They completely burned their credibility with the public; nobody believes a single word they say anymore. Plus, look at what's happening over in the UK (either the vaccines are useless or the virus is mutating into some MP3 file... whatever it is, it's harmless to most people now).
