So, I was thinking, maybe Hitler wasn't totally off base. Like, looking at people living with Down syndrome today, or those with severe disabilities and terminal illnesses... they aren't really contributing anything positive to society. Honestly, they just end up draining resources that we never see a return on. Don't you think forced euthanasia might actually be better for everyone in those cases? Let's try to look at this from both an individual and a group perspective—and let's try to stay STRICTLY logical here, instead of getting all emotional. From a group standpoint, it would probably be better to have fewer "weak links" due to bad DNA, but from an individual's view, I guess it's a ? maybe significant? crime.

I don't know if anyone here actually knows about this, but I was reading somewhere about some bizarrely rare blood type... apparently there are only a handful of people with it. It’s supposedly not even A, B, AB, or O, but something like F or H or whatever. Does anyone know anything about that? Like, how would that even be possible?

I'm thinking about becoming a blood donor, but I wanted to check in here first to see what everyone's experience has been like. Like, what's the actual vibe? How often can you really go in and donate? And honestly, are there any perks involved? I heard a rumor that if you hit 50 donations, you get some kind of lifetime pass for the MTA, but I don't know if that's even close to true. Most importantly though—do they take every type of blood, or do they end up tossing some out? I mean, assuming it's totally clean and free of any viruses or bacteria, obviously. (If there's already a recent thread about this, let me know)🙏

Hmm. Interesting. I’ve actually got some stretch marks on parts of my body—like my biceps and shoulders—from lifting way too much heavy weight when I was younger, believe it or not. I'm wondering if it's okay to get tattooed over them? Has anyone here dealt with that before?

That is such a barbaric way to do it! Look, try this instead: just grab something like xmpeg or ffmpeg, encode the file into a lossless codec or maybe just use a super high bitrate in xvid, and then you can stitch it all together using VirtualDub. It works, I guess.

Maybe give FFmpeg a shot? It’s a really solid tool, though I guess it can be a bit of a headache to wrap your head around at first... but man, once you get it, the possibilities are just insane.
