Best software for merging VOB files?

I have two VOB files from a documentary I filmed, and I need to merge them into a single file. Does anyone know of a reliable program for this? 🙂

You might want to give FFmpeg merging a shot instead. 🙂

or DVD Shrink—maybe try reauthor mode?

Maybe give FFmpeg a shot? It’s a really solid tool, though I guess it can be a bit of a headache to wrap your head around at first... but man, once you get it, the possibilities are just insane.

It’s just not working—FFmpeg won't let me output MPEGs, only AVI.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party here, but if I can be of any help—maybe give DVD Decrypter a shot if you're dealing with a physical disc. If it's just two VOB files sitting there, though, I'm thinking you might be out of luck...

burn those idiots onto a DVD
make sure the whole thing looks like an actual movie
then rip it to an AVI and call it a day

That is such a barbaric way to do it! Look, try this instead: just grab something like xmpeg or ffmpeg, encode the file into a lossless codec or maybe just use a super high bitrate in xvid, and then you can stitch it all together using VirtualDub. It works, I guess.
