Is there anything more soul-crushing than watching a pitcher put in a masterpiece only for the rest of the team to look like they’ve never swung a bat in their lives?
I was watching the game last night and it felt like a slow descent into madness. You see one guy absolutely locking it down, carving through the lineup, and you start thinking, "Okay, this is it. We’ve got this. We're finally going to pull off the sweep." Then the innings roll by and it’s just... nothing. Silence. Total offensive paralysis.
It’s a special kind of frustration when the guys on the mound do their job perfectly, but the guys at the plate can't even find a gap. It makes you wonder if there's a mental block that kicks in during these high-stakes series, or if some squads just lack that "clutch" instinct when the pressure is actually on. It feels like a complete waste of a brilliant outing.
Does anyone else feel like certain teams just have this weird inability to capitalize when the stars align for their pitching staff?
Hey everyone! :-) So, I’m seriously considering launching my own small business as a tour guide/escort, but I am getting some seriously conflicting info. I ran into a colleague yesterday who told me my monthly overhead would be around $433... but now I’m scrolling through this forum and seeing numbers closer to $667. Now, he’s based out in Des Moines, so I'm wondering if that's why the math isn't adding up? I'm over here in Washington, D.C., so maybe there's a regional difference?
One more thing—can one small business cover multiple niches? Like, could I offer guided tours and also sell handmade souvenirs under the same umbrella?
And another question🙂: do I absolutely need to hire an accountant, or am I allowed to handle my own bookkeeping? I don't mean right at the start—I’ll definitely be hitting up an accounting firm to get things set up properly—but once I actually find my rhythm, can I fly solo?
Sorry for posting on the main board, but I can’t seem to find the thread for buying/selling kids' gear—did it get deleted or am I just blind?
Context: I’m shopping for my little girl, size 3-6 months. I’d much rather meet up in person here in Washington, D.C. to check things out before buying. Here is what I’m hunting for:
Side-snap bodysuits, some plush and cotton onesies (also side-snaps), those little romper-style outfits (not sure if that's the right word, maybe footie rompers?), and a pink or white-and-pink plush set. Honestly, I’d love to just grab everything as one big lot because I am seriously losing my mind scrolling through a million different photos and ads. 😬
I’m clearing out a bunch of baby boy clothes—check my signature for more, I haven't even had a chance to snap photos of everything yet! In exchange, I'm looking for some Target coupons (maybe a 25% off one specific item or 15% off the whole haul?), those 30% off hair care or sleep sack booklets, a Target stroller bag, some small washcloths, and some girl clothes in size 3-6 months or larger. Looking to swap in Chicago.
Hey, does anyone happen to know what this specific dress style is called?

Also, if you guys have spotted anything similar—doesn't matter the pattern, just nothing dark like black or brown—down in downtown Chicago near $33😁 I'd love to know.
Basically, I need it to either have a ton of room for my chest or just be that trapezoid shape that flares out naturally without any awkward seams right under the bust. That's the goal!
Jacob Reed5 and hollowtinker40, thanks girls! 🙂
Hey ladies 🙂 Sorry to crash the party here, but I honestly didn't know where else to ask and I’m really hoping someone might actually have an answer for me. Does anyone know where I can find decent large bras in a place like Chicago—ideally something comfy (I'm pregnant, so comfort is my absolute priority right now) and under $50? My bust is sitting at about 43 inches now and it looks like the growth spurt has finally stalled, so I think I might be able to move into a "normal" bra soon. Right now, I'm just surviving in XXL sports bras.
Also, I'm on the hunt for some white or beige tops—nothing too heavy, just light, breathable cotton blouses or tees. Sleeves are fine, or no sleeves, whatever. I definitely need plus sizes, though. I don't want anything tight against my skin; I need that summer breeze flowing through everything to keep me sane. 🙂
Lisa Myers, honestly, halter tops are a way better choice than strapless ones, and it's not even just about how they look. You can wear them all day without feeling crushed, whereas with strapless stuff, we all know that miserable feeling after just a few hours. 😉 A good halter top isn't exactly cheap, but listen, my La Perlin one has lasted me five whole years. Besides, it's way easier to find cute, affordable halter tops than it is to find decent, cheap strapless ones. And I swear, on everything, halter styles hold up way longer than tights or strapless tops—I don't have the scientific data to prove it, 🙂 but it's a solid investment that saves you money in the long run.
And sorry for the total random tangent, but did you happen to stop by Target and maybe ask a clerk about those coconut macaroons I was looking for?
I finally got a response, and everything was handled right on schedule and totally professionally🙏
granitedriver822 I didn't even blink when they asked for my personal info. I mean, how else are they supposed to figure out which specialist needs to take on my case before they even get their hands on my medical records? It’s all laid out right there in the paperwork.
northernraven72 said:We did. We had to make a pretty urgent call on whether my wife needed heart surgery. They got back to us within a single day, so we’re incredibly happy with how fast they were. If there had been any way to get an answer even sooner, we would have paid through the nose for it at the time!
My wife's uncle used them too—he's from Canada and he's just as satisfied.
Thanks for getting back to me. I am definitely sending this over! I actually had no idea foreigners could use this service too; that's interesting, and honestly, a huge plus if it works that way. Is your wife's uncle on this forum? I've got a few questions because a friend of mine from Canada needs an unbiased opinion regarding a potential surgery. This would definitely be cheaper for her than traveling all the way to New York City to see a private specialist. I won't ramble on here, so please just shoot me a DM with the info, thanks.
swiftbear86 I'm interested too.🤷 I've already heard two solid recommendations for medical consultations from close friends. I'll let you know my thoughts once I send this off and actually hear back from them. Cheers.
Hey everyone🙂
I just stumbled upon
http://med-eks.com/usluge and I’m dying to know if anyone here has actually used them before. Specifically, I'm looking into their medical consulting services. Does anyone know how long they actually take to get back to you?
I've already got all my paperwork organized and ready to go, but honestly, I'm still second-guessing myself a little bit☕
