Accounting for Sole Proprietors: Tax & Bookkeeping Tips in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I have no clue how things work these days, but back when I started my small business in the nineties, it took them a solid 29 months just to send me a decision.😍
Suggestion regarding New York Post in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Is the New York Post even any different from Index or the Los Angeles Times, just flipped on its head? 🤔
Honestly, it feels like the LA Times is basically just a version of the New York Post, and maybe Index is actually a step above them both...
Not that I actually read any of this crap on purpose, so I probably stumble onto even stupider nonsense on Index than what you find in the LA Times or the New York Post...

Bottom line, I don't read any of this garbage, but a few links I've unfortunately clicked on are either pure comedy gold (if you're in the mood to laugh at stupidity) or a straight-up insult to your intelligence (if you actually want to think about the nonsense being written)...
But the real question is, which of our media outlets isn't like this?
Especially when it comes to those classic, mindless debates about old-school political extremists 🤦

18 seconds is plenty of reason.

Actually, it’s more than enough.

There's more to come 🙂

Those 2005-2006 seasons were like 8 or 9 years ago. That's not even your "glory days" from 10-15 years back.😉

Look, since you already let it slip, just admit it: Michael Schumacher is your GOAT. I don't get why you're acting shy about it.🐔

So you peaked during the 2000-2004 seasons...
I gotta say, your post caught me totally off guard...

neonfox65 said:They said it. They have a driver development program, and bringing in someone else wouldn't make any sense within that framework.

If you take all those "expert" opinions as gospel...🙂
Then you have Alonso, driving a total wreck of a Ferrari that was stuck in 4th-6th place for years, still somehow winning and fighting for titles...
And then there's Red Bull being the top two teams back in 2014...

Do the math, and you get the "logic" that Alonso could somehow win a title even in a car like this Red Bull. 🤣
So, Red Bull didn't pass on Alonso because they aren't interested in winning championships. 🤣
Or maybe the people at Red Bull are just too clueless to see Alonso's massive potential...

Their driver program has nothing to do with it here.
The program would work perfectly fine with anyone they picked up off the street, because through that system, Ricc ended up in a No. 1 seat anyway, and a kid or two would still end up in STR...

neonfox65 said:Why mess with a winning combination? Plus, both drivers are under contract for 2015.

That’s because you claim Rosberg and Hamilton hate each other, yet here are Alonso and Hamilton openly loving each other and swapping compliments.🙂

neonfox65 said:Because Alonso won't join a customer team where he doesn't have a shot at the title.

Please. He barely had a shot with a factory team, so who knows, maybe he’d actually start hitting targets with a customer team.🤷
If we're being realistic, Williams could probably give Mercedes a run for their money every now and then if they had one decent F1 driver...
And if nothing else, Alonso would definitely be grabbing wins with Williams, and he'd be a podium threat every single weekend.☕

neonfox65 said:Told you a thousand times. They just want to pick the second driver first, then announce them both at the same time.

Oh yeah, because obviously the No. 2 driver is way more important, and his news is definitely more big-deal than the No. 1 driver's. 🙂

neonfox65 said:Look, my point is that Renault had massive engine issues and managed to fix them by the start of the season. So why wouldn't Honda be able to fix their problems if they have them, just like you claim?

Because Honda only has two cars to work with, while Renault was dealing with eight...
And out of those eight, four were laid out completely differently inside the chassis—different cooling setups, different wiring, different component placement, all that good stuff.
That’s a massive difference. What Honda can test over four seasons, Renault could cram into one.☕

neonfox65 Asks:
How do you know Fettel isn't making the exact same money as Alonso? For all we know, he might even be pulling in more!

I know he's pulling in a bigger paycheck now, but Alonso definitely took less back in the day. Pretty sure that’s just because he wasn't just better—he was simply the best. 🍿

neonfox65 said:He hasn't had a decent car at Red Bull for five years, so obviously he’s heading out to find some wins with a different team.

Not true. They had a car competitive enough to hang with Red Bull at least three times.
2010, 2012, and 2014...

neonfox65 said:I told you guys: I’m expecting McLaren to outperform Ferrari, but as for Red Bull? Honestly, who knows.

Ferrari was basically on Red Bull's level this season. But what if they actually jump ahead of them next year?
How exactly are you going to explain that to yourself if it actually happens? And what then, if you end up even ahead of the legendary McLaren? 🤣

The real question here is who’s actually going to be behind the wheel of that McLaren. Given how things are looking right now, it probably won't be Alonso.
Honestly, while you're all busy spinning those empty fairy tales about the great Maestra, maybe try asking yourselves a few actual, meaningful questions for once...

Why?
Red Bull didn't pick up Alonso. Honestly, why would anyone even consider that? Nobody's even thinking about it.
As far as the junior academy goes, that’s really not the issue here. Honestly, Qvist needed at least another year at STR. Even if they had gone with Alonso, they probably would've ended up dropping one of those kids in favor of Qvist anyway.
They could have pulled that off without even blinking an eye regarding the junior academy, but nope—they didn't spend a single second actually thinking about it.

B.) Mercedes didn't pick up Alonso. Honestly, why would anyone even think that was on the table?
Hamilton basically said, "I want a challenge, not an easy win," and that pissed them off. Now they're getting their revenge by blocking Alonso from joining the crew.

So, why didn't Williams pick up Alonso? Honestly, why hasn't anyone even seriously considered making that move?
Well, they aren't a factory team, so they obviously knew there was no point in even asking him. 🙂

So, why hasn't McLaren confirmed Alonso yet if they've already signed him?
Oh sure, they probably don't want to hurt Button's or Magnussen's feelings. That way, everyone would actually realize someone is flying off the track... but of course, nobody's talking about that. 😁
And that’s exactly why they end up forming this little club of indecisive idiots—people who can't make a single move on something they should have figured out two or three months ago.

If Ferrari didn't have Alonso, they’d probably have at least two titles sitting in the trophy case from the last five years.☕
Alonso is a myth, and honestly, he was the biggest headache Ferrari ever had.
Even if he were as great as you claim, he’d still be the problem. If anything, having a superhero on the team would just mean everyone else could sit around doing nothing all year, knowing he'd somehow drag them to the top even when the car was absolute garbage.

Alonso didn't push him

He didn't push him, he just shut him down 😁
Perfectly assessed his ego and got rid of him without spending a single dime 🙏

You can tell the guy knows exactly what he's doing. He saved the team a ton of cash meant for car development and the PU 👍

darkmarlin16 said:I know what he was saying. But I figured he’d come to his senses once he saw how Maestro managed to squeeze 150% out of that absolute wreck of a Ferrari and absolutely crushed his own teammates.

It was Domenecalia and LdM who butchered them, not Maestro...

darkmarlin16 said:Unfortunately, Ferrari lacks any real backbone. And looks like you were right—they won't see a championship for decades. Too bad that doesn't help you now. 😁

Ferrari didn't have any guts with the old crew, but Marcione actually does...
Poteral cleared out LdM, Domenecalia, and Alonso... and eventually even Matija, whom he only brought in to get rid of the parasites...
He's cleaning out the squad that was dragging Ferrari straight to the bottom and starting to bring in actually competent drivers and people.
Kimi is basically just a stopgap; they'll give him one more year of breathing room, and if he proves he's still got it, he stays. If not, he's out.

Next season, expect Ferrari to be way better than this year—whether that means podiums, wins, points, or just the final standings.

Paul is basically a Ferrari fanboy through and through, so obviously he was rooting for their driver and against whoever was breathing down his neck for the title. ☕
You've been lurking here so long you clearly can't remember what Paul actually thought about Sebastian Vettel or Alonso back when neither of them were even at Ferrari, let alone in the running for it...
And honestly, watching you foam at the mouth over his take on Alonso was just painful to witness. 😬

So, I was digging through some old threads...
And I stumbled upon this ...
It’s pretty wild how Mark Webber already knew Sebastian Vettel was heading to Ford before the 2013 season even wrapped up. That decision had only just been 😁
made.

How do you say "our little red tin can" in Italian?
I’m honestly not sure if this Google Translate version, "i nostri piccoli lattine rosse," is even remotely right. 😬

Who even cares about that...
Alonso didn't surprise anyone; he wasn't exactly pulling any rabbits out of hats here...
Back when Vettel was at Red Bull, he shocked everyone four times, and every single time he delivered...

Basically, Alonso was just popping corks until the hens plucked him bare and chased him off. 🤣

Alonso basically bailed on Ferrara like a total amateur... so yeah, this photo definitely has to be him. 😉
It’s not out of the question that things could have gone down the same way with Kimi or Vettel, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how that plays out. ☕
