I’m not sure if anyone else caught this: when you send over the sales tax form, the confirmation shows the tax type as VAT-S instead of what it should be.
Amanda Mendoza10 said:To whom it may concern, I am reaching out because I would truly appreciate any guidance or specific instructions regarding the submission of the ZP form. To provide some context, we are dealing with a fully verified foreign corporation that already holds a valid VAT ID. On paper, everything appears to be perfectly in order, yet I keep encountering an error message stating: "THE TAXPAYER DOES NOT EXIST IN THE TAXPAYER REGISTER." Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.
It might be that your company hasn't been issued a Tax ID yet.....
"Invoices issued by earners (received by winners) after July 1st can be claimed as input tax immediately. If anyone told you otherwise—they’re dead wrong!"
Thanks APIS, but they actually just gave me an answer saying it isn't possible for this specific inquiry. Honestly, trying to get decent advice from the IRS is a nightmare...
There’s been some chatter on these boards about being able to claim the pre-tax deduction on R-2 accounts right away, but my auditors just gave me a heads-up that we shouldn't be doing that yet... Does anyone have any recent updates or intel on this? Thanks.

Does that trucking company charge the intermediary sales tax or not? I'm certain the intermediary handles the reverse charge, but I suspect the trucker should be issuing an invoice with sales tax included—yet they keep insisting it's a zero-tax invoice...

So, that would mean even a small business owner—someone liable for corporate income tax—who acts as an intermediary in transport services would have to issue a reverse charge invoice... Basically, they're buying freight services by truck and then reselling that transport to someone else who actually carries out the job, say, over in Canada...
Thanks for the link. Using that old method actually gets everything working... The IRS told me everything looks fine on their end (as usual, of course), so they're claiming the issue is just my computer...
I just updated my Java version and now it won't sign any of my forms... Is anyone else running into this? The IRS site hasn't been responding since yesterday—not sure what happened there.
Brenda Chase3 said:It’s definitely doable. Just keep in mind that you won't find their specific templates there; instead, you need to convert your own documents into PDF format and upload them as attachments once you've finished filing your tax return.
The thing is, I don't even have my own files yet. I only have this GFI data in an Excel sheet... Can anyone help me figure out how to turn that into a PDF? Really struggling here...
Has anyone actually submitted their balance sheets or income statements through the IRS portal yet? I heard from an official at the IRS that it’s possible, though I'm having a hard time locating the specific forms...
Thanks, wiredmarlin41, but I’m honestly out of my depth with this stuff... Back when I first started, a lady over at the IRS walked me through everything, but now I can't seem to get a hold of anyone. I've been leaving messages and sending emails, but nothing.

I downloaded the new ActivClient, but I have no clue how to unzip it.🙂 The folks over at FIFA are just offering to send tech support to my house... Can anyone walk me through the unzipping process?
Just wanted to follow up on the interest calculation and double-check something... If interest is applied to accounts that are about to hit the statute of limitations (maybe in two months), does that actually extend the expiration period for those specific invoices? To be honest, I haven't come across this yet—or maybe I just missed it amidst all these recent regulatory shifts...
I haven't had a chance to read through everything yet, so I just wanted to ask... Can you handle a power of attorney at the IRS without having one on file with the Treasury? Since I don't need a tax ID for the user, does that change things?
