Starting an LLC: Where to begin? in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·

I won't have any major vendors hitting me for at least six months. I'm running this out of my apartment, my phone and internet bills are already covered, I don't have employees for a while, and gas is my own expense—it's negligible. My time is my biggest asset... the only thing I'd actually use it for is paying myself a salary. I know it’s technically "wrong," but why should that money just sit idle in a bank account for months when my monthly startup overhead is only $100 per month? Why can't I just set aside $5,000 for expenses and pull the rest? (Look, I realize once I actually launch, I'll need to reinvest several times more than what's currently in $6667).
I'm sure someone will jump in here to lecture me about why I shouldn't do this, but honestly, save your breath.

I’d be an employee, but my payroll taxes are already being handled by another company...

As for the startup capital, you're wrong. There is nothing stating I can't pay myself a salary from those funds starting in month one—though I'd have to cover the taxes. I can use that initial capital however I see fit. My question is whether I have to pay tax on it when I'm paying back a loan, and if so, how much.

In those first few months, the company won't be making huge profits or seeing massive expenses, but I need the legitimacy. When I walk into a meeting with a client, I need to be able to say "I am an official representative of this firm," rather than just some random person showing up...

Hello, I have a few questions...
I remember reading somewhere on this forum that you can technically loan seed capital to a business after it's officially registered and then pay it back later. Is that actually true, and if so, does the IRS take a cut or require any specific filings?
To be specific: my plan is to personally loan the funds to the entity (either to myself or my husband) just to get things moving until we're up and running.
The business likely won't see any profit for at least a year, so I’d be lending money to the company as needed. We won't have any employees at the start either; it'll just be me putting in the hours as director. Currently, I have a full-time job elsewhere, but I'm out on maternity leave right now. Can I serve as a director while still having social security contributions being paid through my other employer, or will the government treat me like a retiree and block me from holding that position?

I just had to say, "No, no..." It’s getting to the point where it’s impossible to even post anymore. Whatever happened, happened...😢

Look, I honestly think this is unfair... Okay, sure, we post some nonsense sometimes, but we drop some wisdom too. Think about how many people have actually read our stuff and found themselves reflected in our stories... For some, reading is just a way to say "good morning" when they want, but it’s not all about venting problems—life moves on... Are we really being shut down just because we were hanging out and chatting?? When I ran into trouble, I found this community because I had been reading ZUD long before that... But here?? Who is even going to find us now??...
Signature... and I'm starting a new thread up above 😁
😂Did your wife take issue with you and wipe out your bank account or something?
My husband figured out that if we have a fight the night before and things are quiet during Sunday service, his best bet is to grab his hardware token and bring it to work with him. He’s terrified of what might happen when he tries to log in and finds it missing... he knows once I'm pissed off, I'm capable of just about anything. Usually, he keeps it tucked right next to his MacBook.🤣

I am not taking antibiotics—I explicitly stated that.

It’s bacteria I’m dealing with, not fungus. Besides, I thought Trichomonas symptoms (at least for me) were identical to yeast infections—that insane itching, you know? And it’s entirely possible I have both at once. If I didn't have the bacteria, I'd end up with a yeast infection from the antibiotics, which is exactly why I'm avoiding them. Get it now?

Look, I was asking Taipei if she thought they were constantly pumping her full of antibiotics when there wasn't even a bacterial infection... but if you actually *do* have one, you have to take the meds to clear the bacteria first, and then you deal with the 🙂 🙂 fungus

Look, if they’re constantly pushing antibiotics on you when there isn't even a bacterial infection involved, they're being reckless...
Antibiotics aren't some magic cure-all. They are substances designed with bactericidal properties—which, for those who haven't bothered to educate themselves, means they kill off bacteria😉. However, they also wreak havoc on your natural biological flora and fauna😁. Since fungi are part of that ecosystem, you end up with a massive problem because they start multiplying out of control, and that's where the real trouble begins.👋

Look, I don't get it—why on earth are you taking antibiotics if there isn't even a bacterial infection? If I were in your shoes, I'd just tell the doctor "no thanks" and leave it at that...😕

Regarding fungal issues, there are some solid tips out there that actually work, provided you stay consistent over time... and by the way, nobody mentioned the underwear situation. If you haven't heard, ditch all the lace thongs and synthetic stuff immediately. Go buy a bunch of new, plain white cotton briefs. Make sure they're 100% cotton...👋

To score 2400, and likely everywhere else—I can't even remember if it was at Wells Fargo specifically—two-thirds of the principal has to remain while the annuity covers the other third. It doesn't work the way you imagined where you just pocket a third... If your parents are making such a huge deal out of this, why don't they just step up and pay? You should just start paying them back monthly every single month.

And I almost forgot YOU HAVE TO BE ON A PERMANENT CONTRACT. Seriously, I spent five years on temporary contracts even though my job at the bank was guaranteed. Meanwhile, the waitresses at a local diner had more rights than I did and were pulling in twice my salary.

Look, you can forget about getting that loan with those numbers. I'm actually in the middle of closing on a loan at Wells Fargo right now and know that you need to score 2400 just to clear the debt and walk away with $10,000. You end up paying back $14,000 over 7 years. If you're looking for a mortgage, the requirement jumps to 1,800, but since it's tied to the house, you're looking at $20,000 total. Better check out some other options...👎 👎

sorry about the typos, don't feel like dealing with that right now
