Monsters Among Us in Psychology ·
Someone really ought to give this guy the boot, just like he treated that poor little kitten 😠
Could Israel join NATO? in World ·
Honestly, I don't think Israel needs to join the NATO alliance. It just seems unnecessary. They already have plenty of military strength to defend themselves, and they’ve got several NATO allies ready to back them up anyway, so I just don't see the point in Israel becoming a member.
Even when you look at the bigger picture regarding potential regional conflicts, I still don't feel like Israel should be stepping into NATO.
I mean, most people—not everyone, mind you—but just most of them. It’s not even specific personality traits that get under my skin; it’s just people as a whole. They’ve become pretty lowlife.
Sending love and empathy in Spirituality ·
Alex Thompson5 said:Why is it such a struggle for people to actually show empathy or compassion when someone else is hurting? Why on earth are we all so incredibly selfish?

I can't help but feel that true empathy is what defines a spiritual person—that it's the actual foundation of any meaningful practice, rather than just sitting in isolation, meditating, or endless theorizing... 🙄 ...

As a civilization, we’re collectively self-centered. Individually? It's even worse. And yet, the solution is so painfully simple: love your neighbor as yourself.
Is that even possible? In reality, I mean...

This culture of selfishness is eventually going to lead to its own downfall. At the end of the day, a truly egoistic, selfish person doesn't really love anyone—least of all themselves.
They might convince themselves they love who they are, but they're just kidding themselves. They end up becoming more and more isolated, eventually facing the end in total loneliness.
Ultimately, this rampant egoism will be the undoing of our entire society. That’s the true Armageddon—the one where our own selfishness finally destroys us.
