I feel like I see this same argument popping up every single week lately. Every time a new superstar enters their prime, there's always that one group of people trying to compare them to the legends of the previous decade. It’s like we can't just appreciate a player's current dominance without immediately digging up the stats of someone who played ten years ago to prove a point.

In my experience, these debates usually fall into two camps: people who value raw, historical impact and longevity, and people who care more about refined, surgical efficiency and current "vibes." I personally lean toward the former, but it’s getting harder to ignore how much the game has changed. The style of play today is so much more specialized. You can't just rely on pure athleticism and sheer will anymore; you need that polished, methodical approach to survive.

It makes me wonder if we are actually judging "greatness" anymore, or if we're just comparing two completely different eras of basketball. Do you think a player's historical footprint matters more than how much they've evolved the modern game?
Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hey everyone. So, like the title says, I'm trying to figure out which card makes the most sense for me—mostly because I want to buy things on an installment plan (thinking about paying it down at maybe 15-20% a month) and maybe pull some cash out, maybe $1,000$667 every couple of months if I really need to... I'm honestly feeling pretty lost in this sea of different cards and terms—charge, debit, revolving, Amex, Visa, Mastercard... Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey everyone. I have a quick question—does anyone happen to know roughly what these two pieces might be worth?

1. "Owl," by J. Generalić—watercolor/silk screen, size 50x35

2. "First Pier," by J. Generalić—watercolor/silk screen, size 50x35

Thanks to anyone who can help me out... 🙂
Wage garnishments and collections in Law ·
Section 241.
The statute of limitations is interrupted when a creditor files a lawsuit or takes any other legal action against a debtor through a court or other authorized body to establish, secure, or collect a debt.

Resetting the Clock After an Interruption
Section 245.
(1) Once the statute of limitations is interrupted, the clock starts over from scratch—the time that passed before the interruption doesn't count toward the legal limit anymore.
(2) If the interruption happens because the debtor acknowledges the debt, the new period begins the moment they make that acknowledgment.
(3) When the interruption is triggered by filing a lawsuit, making a formal claim, or asserting a right to a debt during a dispute (or within another legal proceeding), the new period starts once that specific case or dispute is officially closed.
(4) If the interruption occurs because a claim was filed during a bankruptcy proceeding, the new timeline starts after that proceeding wraps up.
(5) The same rule applies if the interruption is caused by a request for garnishment or securing assets.
(6) The restarted period ends once the full duration originally set by law has elapsed.

The interruption happened with the garnishment request on August 15, 2008, right?... And after that, the one-year clock for this type of debt—since it's just for AT&T services—started running all over again...
What am I going to do with myself? in Health ·
Hey, again... I just got back from the doctor... and of course, my actual physician wasn't there—just some temp who basically told me, "Oh, you should've come earlier, we can't do anything now." Then they just tell me to go home, rest, and buddy up my thumb to my other finger... WTF... I mean, what am I even paying health insurance premiums for? Does anyone know if I can just head straight to the ER with these test results so a specialist can actually take a look, or do I really have to go through the hassle of getting a referral from my doctor first? Thanks again...

Hey there... so... about a month ago I was down at the beach and ended up injuring my right big toe... haha... honestly I have no idea how it even happened. It hurt pretty bad, but I didn't want to deal with going to a doctor since it was only my second day on vacation—and you know how much fun doctors are when you're just trying to relax... anyway, it bruised up quite a bit and walking was tough, though after three days things started feeling better. When I got back home to Chicago, I still didn't go in because I figured I just hit it harder than I thought and it was just a bad bruise... until now. A month and some change later, I realized I can't really bend the toe properly, and if I bump it against something—like hitting my foot on a table—it hurts like crazy... so I finally went to the doctor to get some imaging done. The radiologist's report says, and I'll quote: "Standard X-rays show a fracture in the area of the proximal phalanx head without displacement of the fracture fragments, with callus formation present. The fracture line is still visible. Obscured." Can someone please tell me what this means for me? My friends are freaking me out, saying if it healed wrong I might need surgery to reset the bone and all that... does anyone actually know more about these kinds of results? Thanks in advance...
