I second that last part! To be totally blunt, the soundtrack was the only thing that actually left an impression on me—the actual plot was pretty meh 🥱
^^ Just wanted to jump back in here and follow up on my previous post—especially if anyone else is currently losing their mind over this same issue. I finally stumbled upon a workaround: if you type Chase.com directly into Google and click the link from there, it’s the only way the page actually loads for me. I tried downloading several different versions of Java, thinking that might fix the glitch, but honestly? It did absolutely nothing. Turns out, just using the Google search method is the only thing that actually works. 👋
I’m having a total nightmare trying to get the IRS website to actually load. It’s been down for me for a few days now—just won't load, period. I’ve already tried messing around with different Java versions and clearing my cookies, but nothing is working. I am seriously losing my mind here and have zero clue what else to try. Right now, I’m running Java 7u21 and Firefox 21. Is anyone else dealing with this exact same headache, or does anyone happen to know a fix? thanks 🙂
Look, I know starting a whole new thread isn't exactly the best etiquette here, but I’m genuinely spiraling and could really use some help.. My gynecologist switched my prescription from Diane-35 over to Trinovum.. I’ve been scouring the patient info leaflets, but honestly—nothing—they don't actually answer my specific question.. So yeah, I’m stuck in this state of total confusion because I have no clue when exactly I’m supposed to kick off this new therapy.. I took my very last pill of Diane last Thursday, and my period showed up today.. Do I start the Trinovum on day one of my period, or am I supposed to wait out the usual seven-day break first?! Please, if any of you ladies have the actual facts, can someone just tell me so I can stop stressing! 🙂
So, what are you guys’ experiences with Tri-Norum pills? I was at my check-up alone and actually opened up to my doctor about how I’ve been on Diane—mentioning how it absolutely wrecked my appetite and caused me to pack on weight within two years $3.25 and that it’s really getting to me... Then he basically starts lecturing me about how Diane is one of the oldest medications out there—you know, that classic "well, what did you expect?!" attitude. That doctor is just filling in for someone else right now, but honestly, he totally caught me off guard!!!!! 👎 Now I’m sitting here reading the fine print, and it says acne is a possible side effect, which is a huge deal because my skin is already a nightmare... And I also read somewhere that it can affect your weight, right?! Like, are you kidding me?! 😠 Has anyone else dealt with this—like, any girls out there who were taking these while dealing with the exact same issues I am?
Does anyone know where I can actually find joggers that come in specific waist and length measurements? (Hopefully I’m making sense here—I think you get what I’m getting at 🤔) Basically, I buy all my sweats at Urban Outfitters and I’m a solid 30/30.. Most stores around here don't carry those specific proportions—they just have the "standard" sizes—so if I buy anything else, I have to get them hemmed, and by the time they're done, there's basically nothing left of the pants..
Isn't the scope of this association's reach a little... excessive? Maybe we should just come up with one unified name for the whole mess? Honestly, hats off to anyone who can actually come up with a halfway decent idea here... 🙂
Steven Castillo11 said:It’s probably because it clocked in over 250 grams—it’s literally right there on your receipt/sticker. And honestly, do me a favor and actually read that link I posted earlier.
Exactly.. That's precisely why I insist on sending everything as a package! You can always find a box lying around, and plenty of packing paper if you're dealing with something fragile.. 🙂
Lisa Sanchez8 said:The lady at my local USPS branch actually told me the package absolutely has to be tied up with twine. When I send stuff via Certified Mail, you don't really need the twine, but let's be honest—that's way more expensive than just sending a standard package, unless what you're shipping is incredibly light (maybe under 7 ounces, if I recall correctly). 🤔
Yeah... I'm not sure if it varies by location, but at my post office, they definitely insist on having the package tied up...
Emily Ramos34 said:I was wondering if anyone here has ever shipped shoes? How did you pack them? What exactly did you tell the clerk at the post office? And how much did the shipping end up costing? I have the original shoe box, but I'm stuck on what to wrap it in.
Look, you don't owe the USPS an explanation of what's inside your box! The best move is to put the shoes in their box, then wrap the sides of that box with some extra tape so nothing falls out... Then, just wrap the whole thing in plain white paper—you can find it at any drugstore or office supply store, just basic white paper. Once that's done, write down both addresses (yours and the recipient's) and declare the value of the package... and toss some twine on it so it's easier for them to handle (or maybe if the clerk is feeling generous, they might even tie it for you! 😁 )
Elizabeth Brown90 said:What’s even the difference between sending something as a package versus just a certified mail shipment? And honestly, I have no clue what you guys $4.75 are talking about regarding certified shipping, because they always try to charge me extra for $5.75. Or does that just depend on how heavy the box is?
The issue here is that people are totally blurring the lines between certified mail and standard packages... If you go the certified route, you're basically paying a premium—it gets expensive fast—and since the price scales by weight, it adds up. But with a standard USPS package, you can get a flat rate of around $14.40 for anything up to five pounds, and if I recall correctly, the declared value goes up to $27.. It’s definitely smarter to just send it as a package; it’ll save you some cash. You just need to put everything in a box (which is usually the rule anyway), fill out the address info like you would for any other shipment, and the one little extra step is writing the declared value right under your return address (for example, $27 and then write out the amount in words too). That’s really all there is to it..
Grace Jones3 said:Hold up, so you just mixed up the days? If that's all it is, then just take the one you were supposed to have today tomorrow. Did you grab the one labeled Thursday or the Wednesday one? Honestly, doesn't matter. 🙄 The main thing is just making sure you finish the whole pack.
Unless you're on those three-phase packs where they switch every week—then I have no clue how that works. 🤷
No... I took the Friday pill! So, should I take today's pill AND the Thursday one (which was the one I was actually supposed to take)?
Alright people, so today I went ahead and took a pill that I wasn't actually supposed to touch until tomorrow... I am completely losing my grip on what day it even is—honestly, I’m a total wreck because these college finals have my brain feeling like absolute mush... So, what’s the move here? Should I just take the actual pill I was meant to have today as well, or...?? And more importantly—is my birth control for this month officially out the window now??
Nicole Gray82 said:So my mom sent a little package yesterday and the clerk at the USPS told her it was way too small to be classified as a parcel—which is total nonsense because I’ve sent much smaller stuff before without anyone batting an eye—so they ended up charging her like a certified letter, which cost about $9.00. Then she asked what the minimum dimensions actually were, and the woman just shrugged and said she had no idea, but insisted it couldn't go out as a package! What a complete disaster.
They have gone downhill so fast lately.. Honestly, they are just looking for any excuse to nickel and dime you! I was at the post office the other day and the employee was literally rotating the box around just trying to find some tiny flaw—then she just gave me this massive eye roll. Absolutely awful 🙄
Elizabeth Palmer2 said:I mean, I don't know—from what I gathered last week, they were already charging for that. Looks like it’s happening this time too. Some other girl—not sure who—already flagged this over on the marketplace thread 😉
But whatever, if this money is actually going to charity, I really don't care about that extra $1.70—especially since I was shipping out three different packages that day.🙂
So, I don't really know... Well, actually, I haven't checked yet—I think it was maybe two weeks ago.🤔 If it's genuinely for a good cause, then fine by me.🙂
Elizabeth Palmer2 said:It’s not actually double—it’s a $14.40 shipping fee plus an extra $1.70 for that specific sticker (which apparently goes toward charity). And it's mandatory, not some optional little add-on. At my local post office, they have this "notice" posted that explains the whole thing perfectly—why they're doing it and who the money is supposedly helping 😉 .
Strange... I just sent out a package the other day and didn't pay a cent for any extra stickers or whatever... Honestly, ever since they started tacking these extra fees onto packages, it feels like the USPS is just straight-up robbing people... They've seriously lost their minds 🙄
Sandra Clark52 said:I sent it via certified mail and a 650g shipment cost me $7.00
Yeah, but that’s not technically a package...🙂 And that's exactly where you run into trouble. You sent it as certified mail, but you should be sending it as a package—just toss it in a box and call it a day. If it stays under 5lbs, you're looking at a flat $14.40 every single time. Otherwise, the folks at the post office love to give you a hard time if you try to use those padded bubble mailers instead. 🙂
Sandra Clark52 said:That really just comes down to how much the package weighs—I had a few shipments go through the same way $7.00 mostly because what I was ordering felt heavier than a half-kilo or so
No way.. $4.75 It’s supposed to be for packages up to $1.75.. Maybe they just billed you for a standard ground shipment 🤷 http://www.usps.com/main.aspx?id=194# You can actually use this link to run the numbers on shipping costs—at least to get a ballpark estimate..
Drew Walker6 said:My mom mentioned there might be some kind of extra surcharge on stamps (not sure when exactly) for the Red Cross or something similar... So shipping would end up costing twice as much... Does anyone actually know what's going on here? Or maybe it's just the local Post Office... I know something similar happened back in December...
Those are commemorative stamps—they always cost more because a portion of the proceeds goes directly to the charity. Honestly, I’m surprised the lady at the Post Office didn't just ask your mom if she wanted the special ones in the first place... 🙄
