Me? I mostly just hit up NKD and then supplement everything by ordering from ASOS.
Well, sure, there's also S.Oliver, or if you dig deep enough in Zara you might find some larger sizes, plus LC Waikiki...

What a complete disaster. We’re living in an era where the whole push is supposed to be about promoting plus-size inclusivity, yet here in America, we can barely find a single standard retail store that carries anything above a size 16.👎👎👎
I know that Piazza Italia over in Arena Mall carries larger sizes; I picked up an absolutely stunning winter skirt there once.
Then there’s C&A, which occasionally stocks some non-basic, unique pieces that actually look decent and fit properly.
I also cleared out some items from Kik; they sometimes have decent jeans, though it's hit or miss.
As for H&M, they only carry a plus-size section in the Westgate location...
It really is such a shame, isn't it? We see plus-size bloggers being more active than ever globally, and there's this massive body-positivity movement everywhere, yet in reality, you can't find anywhere decent to shop here.
I get it—foreign online shops are the only way to go—but when it comes to bras and pants, I absolutely have to try them on in person.
Even finding boots this winter was a struggle; I finally managed to find a pair that I can actually zip all the way up, but it took forever. 🎉
If you happen to find yourself at the F&F section inside the Supercenter on El Paso—it used to be a Mercator, by the way—you should definitely take a look. They have some really great pieces available in sizes up to 46/48. Whether you're hunting for jackets, dresses, or even just some high-quality pajamas, they've got you covered. Honestly, the quality feels just a notch above H&M, while the prices sit right around that same level.
First, I stumbled upon the absolute perfect one at the Sportina in the Arena Mall. It was a Tom Tailor—the cut was incredible, really elegant, and it fit beautifully... and the price was great too, except $500.... so I kept looking...
Then, I hit the sale at Reserved where everything was 30 percent off. They actually carry a size 44, which is plenty of room for a plus-size woman, so I ended up saving the day there with this gorgeous, long, belted brown jacket for about 300 bucks...
By the way, it was such a pleasant surprise to find that Reserved actually carries sizes for people like us...
Has anyone come across any winter coats designed for fuller figures—specifically those longer, belted styles? I’m looking for something that doesn't look completely unflattering and won't break the bank. Does such a thing actually exist?
Also, has anyone swung by the H&M over at Westgate lately? Is it even worth the trek? I'm curious if their current plus-size selection is actually decent.
Justin Davis2 said:No way!!! Are you for real? If that's true, we better watch for those clearance sales, they'll definitely be clearing stock before they shut down....
I’m hoping for the same thing, honestly. I mean, I seriously hate the fact that all the stores with decent plus-size selections have basically vanished from the American landscape... and frankly, there's nothing left to look forward to.
M&S is pulling out of the country this January! And they're taking that Indigo brand I absolutely love right along with them. Just when we needed another shop that actually carries our sizes, they decide to pack up and leave. What's the point?
Nimbleheron47, I’m cut from the exact same cloth as you—and I’m not just talking about height.
During my two pregnancies, I survived mostly by living in traps and those fantastic black maternity leggings with the heavy elastane from C&A. I even picked up some maternity shapewear there, which was actually decent. As for tees and tunics, I managed to scrape by, and honestly, I rarely even bothered to zip up my winter jackets. 🙂
If you think your chest size is an issue right now, just wait until after the baby arrives.😉
Does H&m Plus still have a presence over at the Arena? Last time I was there, I wandered around like a total zombie and couldn't find them anywhere... though, given how often they shuffle things around these days, I haven't completely given up hope yet...
Did anyone else get absolutely slaughtered by the sales prices?
First off, I was actually surprised by H&M. They have a decent selection of sizes again—I don't know if they improved their stock or if I just wasn't looking before (between two pregnancies and all that chaos), but they had up to a size 14! It actually fit. I managed to snag a long black summer dress I’ve been hunting for forever in a Large.
The downside? That's when it hit me. I realized I've been missing out big time by never shopping there. Now, I'm obsessing over this red linen dress and some linen trousers that are just to die for!
C&A also had a lovely skirt selection. I picked up a little blue spaghetti strap one that fits surprisingly well, a maxi skirt, and one short one that is—well, let's just say it's a bit snug (size 14).
And I picked up a pretty decent green linen tunic from Old Navy.
Dana Wilson said:I honestly have zero clue about the moderator situation, haven't heard a peep. As far as bras go, I’m still loyal to Victoria's Secret, at least for me.. And nursing bras, ugh... I really need to dig out the ones from last year and see if they're even wearable. I'm really not feeling like buying anything new right now. Last year I picked up a few while I was pregnant, but by the end, I think I only wore those bigger ones maybe twice—one of them didn't even get worn once.. and now they're probably going to be way too huge for me. Maybe I should just sell them? 😬
Listen, I'm actually pregnant this year, 😁 whereas last time I was dealing with a summer pregnancy, which was intense enough, but now I'm looking at being a much more "extreme" winter mama.
Where am I even supposed to shop now that Oltrea and Dorothy Perkins are gone? I stopped by H&M yesterday, and honestly, their plus-size selection is just complete garbage.
