IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I’ve gone through all the steps and followed the process to a T, but for some reason, I can get certain invoices to clear through the system while others just hit a wall. I'm starting to wonder if this is an issue on the IRS side of things or if I've missed something somewhere...

Like, step-by-step. I tried reading through the instructions myself, but I am just so exhausted... and honestly, nothing is making sense. haha... even if I weren't totally wiped out, I still wouldn't get it. 😉)

Bumping this!

Can anyone help a person out? 🤷

Hi everyone. I was hoping someone might be able to lend me a hand with a quick question.
We just received an invoice from our Canadian suppliers for some goods we purchased, and it includes the shipping costs on there as well. I'm wondering if I need to split the amount between the cost of the goods and the transportation service—essentially recording the acquisition of assets and the imported services from the USA separately? Or would it be more appropriate to bundle everything under the acquisition of goods, since the shipping is a direct cost that goes straight into the total purchase value of the items?

I was reading somewhere that if you've already submitted your Balance Sheet and Income Statement to the Financial Agency for public record and statistics, you don't actually have to send those same documents to the IRS. Does that mean I can skip sending that confirmation from the agency showing everything was filed correctly and is all set?

Take a look at what’s listed on the IRS website here:
http://www.irs.gov/publications/tax-filing-guidelines...aspx?id=18909

...3. Attachments for the tax return

The following should be attached to the tax return:
- financial statements: the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement for 2013 (unless they were already submitted to the IRS within the required deadlines) ...

Under Article 46, Clause 5 of the Regulations, it states that any Balance Sheet or Income Statement submitted within the required timeframe to the Financial Agency for statistical or other regulatory purposes is considered officially submitted alongside the corporate tax return, per Article 35, Clause 6 of the law and Clause 2 and 4 of the aforementioned Regulations. However, please keep in mind that the IRS still reserves the right to request a copy of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement with your tax return, regardless of whether they've already been sent over to the Financial Agency.

Hi there!
I have a quick question for anyone here who handles business with Italy. We just received an invoice for some goods we had delivered, and both our tax ID and theirs are listed on it (we already double-checked their ID in the VIES database). No tax was actually charged, but instead of seeing the term "reverse charge," it says something in Italian: CONTRIBUTO CONAI ASSOLTO OVE DOVUTO. Does that mean the same thing, or is it technically required for it to explicitly say "reverse charge"?
Thanks!

Benjamin Palmer80 said:If I’m a business owner with a registered tax ID, can I charge American sales tax to an individual in Germany who isn't registered for sales tax?
We usually ship our goods to Germany, but we've only ever dealt with clients who provided a valid tax ID. If I'm selling to a regular consumer instead, do I need to include any specific notes on the invoice?

I’m actually dealing with a pretty similar situation involving a private individual over in the UK. I use Synopsys software for my bookkeeping, and for individual customers, I issue a Form G invoice. Do I still need to fill out that ZP form? My hunch is probably not, since a regular person won't have a tax ID number to provide.
Also, does it make any difference if the goods haven't actually left the US yet? In this case, he bought items that are going to be installed in his house right here in America. Which address should I list on the invoice?

Thanks!

If you're working on Synesis, there’s an option tucked away in the F-10 parameters. If you just hit that little key icon and select "No Solution," then yeah... everything will turn out exactly how you want it to. I guess.

Yeah, I am working in Synesis. So, it sounds like that's the one little tweak I need to make. Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone.
I have a quick question regarding this new form we're using. For some reason, my imports from outside the country are showing up on my Sales Tax return as both input tax and assessed tax. It looks like they're just canceling each other out, when in reality, that amount should be reducing my total Sales Tax liability.🤷
Is there perhaps another section where I need to enter specific details about imports?
We've already taken care of the import duties.

I just wrapped up my time in Indianapolis, and honestly, it was wonderful. I think I'm all set for now.

Does he work out of a hospital, or is he in private practice? I was also wondering if you happen to know what the typical wait time looks like for an appointment, an EKG, or a cardiac ultrasound.

I really feel like I should head to a cardiologist over in Indianapolis soon, so I was hoping anyone with some experience could point me in the right direction. Does anyone happen to know what the typical wait times look like if I try to go through the hospital system? Or, if you have any recommendations for a good private specialist, how much they usually charge and what the experience is like—anything at all would be incredibly helpful. To be honest, my doctor's comments left me feeling a little rattled, so I'm feeling quite anxious about this. It’s become a bit of an urgent matter for me, too. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can give.

Hahaha!
Well, if someone is going to advertise, they might as well be specific about it! (driftingeagle2)
It's a shipment from Yantian, about 40 containers, headed straight for Cleveland.
We’re looking at PEX-AL-PEX piping with brass fittings, totaling about 15 tons.

Hi everyone!
Heheh!
I’ve been in the import business for quite a while now, sourcing products from various companies over in China, but since things have felt a little shaky lately, I was wondering if those of you working with Chinese suppliers might be willing to share some insights. I'd love to start a conversation about shipping logistics out of China and what the current rates look like—specifically regarding which freight forwarders you trust, and what the pros and cons have been with your recent experiences!

Michael Jones23 said:😬 yeah, I actually stopped seeing her a few days ago. I think that speaks volumes on its own!

Maybe she isn't quite as terrible as I first thought, but she just seems so overwhelmed by her patient load and always talks way too fast, which honestly leaves me feeling like she’s constantly trying to rush me out the door. She can be a bit superficial too, though when I really sit down and give it some thought, maybe she actually is just bad. 😁

I heard there's a doctor, I think her name is Galovic, over in the South Side. A few of my friends go to her and they say she's actually great, so I might consider making the switch. As for me, I had to wrap things up with Dr. Leko because I didn't have much of a choice; it was summer and everyone was away on vacation, but I had an urgent matter that couldn't wait. She was the only one still working.

Since I’m also from the OS area, I was wondering if anyone knows much about Dr. Leko. I’d heard she was quite good, but honestly, when I finally sat down with her, she seemed so incredibly confused. I’ve only been to see her twice, but during my last visit, I went through a failed pregnancy and she referred me for a D&C. The way she handled everything felt so rushed—it should have been a straightforward procedure, but instead, it felt like it was over before I could even catch my breath. I didn't even get a chance to ask her a single question before she was ushering me out. Eventually, I ended up seeing Dr. Laušinka, and her staff were wonderful; they walked me through every little detail and really helped calm my nerves, as much as anyone could in a situation like that, while giving me some solid advice for moving forward.
