Buying used computer parts is just asking for trouble. You never know what kind of junk people are trying to offload on you...
I remember once I ordered a motherboard for my laptop online, and the thing was a total dud from the second I plugged it in. Just dead on arrival $400. And the seller? Good luck getting them to even respond to an email, let alone give you your money back.

Look, if you're already planning on upgrading to something much newer and faster soon anyway, why risk flushing your hard-earned cash down the toilet on secondhand hardware?

My bad, I missed that the 1440p option above wasn't an IPS panel.

Unfortunately, this GE model is pretty much the only choice within that budget of yours.

Honestly, I think you’d be really happy with that first Dell UltraSharp too. If I were in your shoes, that’s definitely the one I’d grab.

From my own experience, I've found a larger 21:9 monitor is way better than a smaller 16:9 setup. I was so stoked when I finally made the switch myself 😉 I'm using a Samsung Monitor right now and it's perfect for movies (since most films these days are shot in 21:9 anyway) and gaming.

Since you're doing video and photo work, I'd suggest checking out one of these two ultrawide monitors:
Dell UltraSharp 34 monitor, IPS, 34", 21:9, 2560x1080, HDMI, Display port

Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor, IPS, 34", 21:9, 2560x1080, 75Hz, USB-C, HDMI, Display port, USB

That 34'' screen size gives you that extra width which is perfect for editing, plus you get the IPS panel and still have plenty of cash left over.

Or, if you want to step up to 1440p resolution instead of sticking with 1080p: AOC CU34G2 monitor, VA, 34", 21:9, 3440x1440, 100Hz, pivot, HDMI, Display port, USB

Honestly, you won't find many 4K monitors for just 3000 bucks. Those things are way out of that price range.

Personally, I think that first Dell is the best bang for your buck since it hits 99% sRGB.

Man, I totally get that. I had to go out and grab a new TV myself because that big earthquake back in March pretty much trashed my old one...
Luckily my monitor survived, even though the desk it was on got bent pretty bad.

If you're jumping from a 24" to a 27", you'll definitely notice the size change regardless.
For me, the real jump was going from 24" up to 29".

Honestly, you might as well just stick with Chrome. It’ll use HTML5 by default anyway, which is basically the successor to Flash.

The big question is how Twitch is going to handle things once they ditch Flash. It’ll probably keep running mostly the same way, just without all that old support.
Honestly, Twitch can be a total pain if you're still messing around with an outdated version of Flash.

Hey there. I wasn't quite sure where else to drop this question, so I figured I'd just post it here.
I was reading online that you can get testing for Huntington disease done at the Mayo Clinic. If that's actually the case, does it work through my insurance with a referral, or is it something I have to pay for out of pocket?

If not, just try stripping out that "i." right before the imgur part in the URL. That usually does the trick.

I totally get why it’s giving you trouble if you're trying to squeeze font size 3 into three lines when that actually breaks the rules.
The way it works is you can use font size 2 for two lines, or just stick to font size 3 if it's only one line. But looking at yours, it seems like you've found a little loophole where you have three sentences, and that last one is just long enough to stretch out into three lines on its own.
You should probably either ditch those first two lines with the dates and shrink that third line down to font size 1, or just cut the third line entirely and scale the first two back to font size 2.

btw, I think you might actually have the biggest signature I've ever seen on this whole forum.

Software deals has a lifetime offer for $233 regarding Office 2016, but honestly, checking with my school sounds like a much better plan.

Look, you aren't exactly wrong here. I mean, if we're being real, it wasn't that long ago that Intel was definitely running circles around AMD. 😁 How much money does all that music actually cost? It’s funny how you think about it. A lot of people have always stuck with AMD simply because they were the budget-friendly alternative to Intel for the longest time.
