Oh, sure, it's easy to look fit when you're thin—try asking me how that works... I guess that's the magic of Herbalife, right? 😁

So, what's your take on all this? Honestly, if I were to sit down and list out every single nationality represented in my own family tree, you probably wouldn't believe me. It truly feels like a mathematical impossibility sometimes! 😁

🤣🤣🤣
Wow, the insults are flying already! I bet that's exactly what you were hoping to see. Look, kid, let's not get bogged down in a petty back-and-forth... you don't know me, and I certainly don't know you, so we could honestly say anything at this point. Let's just get back to talking about the jerseys and call it a day.

Well, what can I say? Are you a sports bettor? You probably just root for whoever’s going to pay out your parlay! 😁
Personally, I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fanatic or anything like that.

I can't speak for him, but personally, I'd pull on a jersey from just about any club—it really doesn't matter to me! In fact, I actually find the Galaxy's kit quite dignified. It has a certain prestige to it, if you know what I mean... there’s an honor in wearing it, even if I'm not exactly a die-hard fan of theirs.

Kyle Ramirez4 said:Business doesn't have borders, sure, and hey, I've got nothing against doing business—as long as it's legal and clean😁—with anyone, anywhere. But wearing the jersey of a team from a country that openly tried to tear yours apart? That’s a hard pill to swallow. If someone offered me a jersey like that, there's no way in hell I'd take it. It's a different story when it's a local legend, like a classic New York Yankees or something—that's an American staple, obviously, and if I were collecting jerseys, I'd grab one in a heartbeat. But from *them*? Never.

Well, I find myself in a bit of a tricky spot here. First off, my parents are actually in what you'd call a "mixed marriage," and secondly—well, it's probably best I don't go into the tragic details regarding how my younger brother passed away... but let's move past that before I get banned for going off-topic! Let's get back to the jerseys and the main subject at hand.

Look, my friend, business doesn't care about borders—I’ll leave it at that. Honestly, I couldn't care less about someone's nationality. Unlike some of those ultra-patriotic types we have here, I’ve never felt like anyone from our neighboring countries owed me a single cent... as they say! So, I truly believe it's better if we just stay quiet, focus on cleaning up our own backyard first, and then worry about what's happening in the neighborhood.

Don't go running to the cops or calling the news reporters just because someone finally managed to kill the spirit inside you. If you’re out there pulling provocations like that, you basically deserve whatever hits back.
Seriously, this whole idea about putting jersey designs in the poker tournament? It’s just absolutely ridiculous! 😂 I can already see it now: the first guy heading over to Canada is definitely going to be some dude grabbing a Zvezda or Partizan jersey from a street vendor and then immediately trying to hit the poker tables. Seriously, what a joke! 🤣

hahaha...it’s a complete sucker bet😁, usually reserved for the guy who gets his pocket picked by someone holding Aces against a hand of absolute garbage.

Just a little off-topic here, but I just dug up some kit designs I was messing around with a few months back—just some imaginary concepts for our league. Basically, I swapped out some of those hideous crests and played around with the color palettes...

So, here’s the breakdown: Budweiser gets their classic light blue home kit, but for the away set, I went with a black tribute to the ultras 😁. For Los Angeles FC, I used what I already had, but for the soldiers, I slapped a massive American flag pattern on the away kit so they actually have something interesting to wear instead of that boring plain white. For the New York Yankees, I gave them bronze away kits just to shake things up, similar to how I did silver/grey for Inter Miami CF. California’s away kit features a pattern inspired by the City of Pula seal. For Fort Worth, I replaced that crest (which, honestly, is easily the ugliest in all of Major League Soccer) with a brand new one, plus an away kit that finally breaks up the monotony. Since Los Angeles Locomotive basically has zero fans, I toyed with a lilac colorway just to make them look different. For Indianapolis, I went with red away kits to kill off that repetitive white/blue combo they always use. Seattle stayed pretty close to the standard, while Steven got a home kit swap from blue to red/blue since those are the actual colors of their city and county—thank God we don't have enough blue clubs already. For Savannah, for those same reasons, I switched the home kit to orange because it’s the city's color and apparently the color of every sports team there except for the NBA. For Miami, I ditched that ugly crest and used one that was proposed a few years ago—at least, if I remember correctly—and gave them a blue away kit (pairing it with white shorts and red socks, since they're such liberals; might as well give them a nod to the old national team 🤣). Columbus is more or less standard since they were the first ones to start experimenting with away kits, occasionally throwing in red or orange. For San Diego, I tweaked the home kit slightly so they don't blend in with all the other blue teams, and changed the crest because I've never liked their official one; the away kit is patterned after the city flag. And last but certainly not least—Washington, D.C.—classic home kit, but the away kit is black with red accents, perfect for that whole anarchy vibe and the spikes those teenagers in the stands love... the older crowd doesn't care anyway 😁

Man, they are just incredible!

Tyler Sullivan said:You don't really need to go strutting around town in the jersey right now, but if it was a gift, I say just keep it—no harm done. I’ve got about 40 scarves sitting at my place, including some Dinamo-related and Zvezda-related ones. 🙂

So, you end up heading through the city toward the arena 😁😁😁
I remember when we went on our senior trip to Italy—man, that was such a blast! We stumbled upon this little stall selling jerseys for only $15. I bought my buddy a Lazio jersey with Mihajlović on it, and he picked out a Parma one with Maddox. Hahaha! We had so much fun messing around in those kits 😁😁😁. Afterward, our teacher actually pulled us aside and asked why on earth we’d choose those specific jerseys. Well, bless our hearts, we were absolutely wasted and just blurted out, "Just for kicks!" 😁. Of course, she thought we were swearing at her and gave us a massive lecture
.
Personally, I couldn't care less what anyone else is wearing. I remember back in high school, most of the local kids from our part of town were strictly into Varteks—scarves, hats, jerseys, you name it. Meanwhile, the "country kids" from the surrounding areas were almost all die-hard Dinamo-related fans, except for a few who backed Hajduk-related teams and one guy who was obsessed with Bayern Munich 😁😁. In the beginning, we’d all spend our time bickering over it, but eventually... you just stop caring about who's sporting what

Cut the crap. Try walking around the city wearing the jersey and see if you can actually convince anyone you aren't a Zvezda fan.

You've got a point there; my trip to New York was strictly for business, and ending up at the stadium was purely coincidental.🙂

So, I ended up strolling through all of Columbus wearing that jersey. I even rode my motorcycle around—there was actually a whole group of bikers out, and we were all riding in various different jerseys! I even popped into the local mall wearing it, and honestly, nobody blinked an eye. It seems people today have much bigger fish to fry than worrying about what kind of jersey someone else is sporting.

As for my crew, we're a riot. Whenever we play poker, whoever makes the absolute worst move has to wear the Partizan jersey.😁

Well, that’s roughly how it plays out, hahahhahaha!
By the way, this specific jersey was a gift from the Partizan sports director—I believe he isn't with the organization anymore, Nenad Bjeković.
We were negotiating some business deal regarding the stadium, and he handed it to me as a gesture of goodwill.

Good grief, why is everyone being so incredibly radical about this?
I am certainly no hooligan looking to set someone's jersey on fire; I actually have a Washington, D.C.-related scarf sitting right here at home, even if I don't strictly root for them. Why on earth would I go out and burn something now?

Vince Carter vs. LeBron James in Other Sports ·
Michael Jordan had Blanka, and after her, it was pretty much a drought
Bob Beamon, on the other hand, gave us Janica, Ivan, and a whole roster of talented skiers. He’s the reason skiing became such a massive sport here in the States, which undoubtedly paved the way for all those big sponsors to back the Snow Queen events

So, while I have immense respect for both of them, if you ask me, Bob Beamon has definitely left a much larger legacy
Importing from China in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·

I have one question, even if it isn't strictly related, but maybe someone here knows
Is it possible to import vehicles from China or other parts of Asia when there is already an authorized general importer established here in the US?
thanks

Well, since I actually work with Chinese automobiles, I can offer you some insight! First off, if you want to bring a vehicle into the US, the very first hurdle you have to clear is federal safety and emissions certification. Right now, there are several manufacturers in China that actually have the necessary certifications, but they simply aren't interested in pushing their vehicles into the American market. Why bother with all that headache? They find much higher profit margins in markets across Africa, South America, or Russia without having to sink massive amounts of capital into retooling their entire production lines just to meet our specific regulatory standards. So, certification is step one. Furthermore, securing dealership rights will be incredibly difficult if there is already an official representative for that brand in your country—your chances are slim. Usually, if you try to negotiate a dealership agreement, they’ll expect a significant sum upfront as a deposit—essentially a "good faith" guarantee to ensure neither party screws the other over.

Then there is the second matter: importing scooters, motorcycles, or ATVs. It is quite easy to fall into the trap where you go through a trading house and end up buying the exact same product directly from the manufacturer would have sold you, but that's where the trouble starts—specifically regarding sales licenses and compliance certifications. Many scooters and quads are already certified and can be imported individually. Personally, I strongly advise against working through trading houses or middlemen in this scenario. Instead, hop on a plane, fly straight to China, visit various companies in person, and hopefully, you'll find exactly what you need. And remember, it isn't just about the vehicle itself; you need to pay five times more attention to sourcing spare parts and establishing warranty terms than you do to hunting for the absolute lowest price. Sometimes, it is much better to pay a premium to ensure superior quality rather than constantly chasing the bottom dollar.

When importing this kind of merchandise, you truly have to see and feel it for yourself. You absolutely cannot follow the traditional "catalog" approach—you know, the "here is a container of goods for $5,000, let's talk about the rest" method. That almost never ends well. My advice? Go straight to China, negotiate everything face-to-face, and deal directly with the manufacturer.
How do you stick to a diet? in Psychology ·
coppernomad28 said:👍 You'll only gain it back if you slide right back into those old habits and that old way of eating. If you stick to this path, you're golden. No stress.

By the way—sodas are basically death. They're nothing but empty calories (pure sugar).

Nice work, Driver! 👍

Thanks, 🙂
What about hitting the gym? To be honest, my schedule is pretty packed, and while I enjoy going once I get into a rhythm, I had a bad experience before. I stopped training abruptly one time and ended up with stretch marks on my stomach that I just can't seem to get rid of now.

Regarding this specific diet, if you eat five smaller meals a day, it feels totally manageable. Also, I think it's important to indulge in something a little more substantial at least once a month—not enough to overdo it or feel sick, but just enough to satisfy the craving moderately.
How do you stick to a diet? in Psychology ·
So, I’ve officially started a diet. To give you some context, my doctors found some fatty deposits on my liver—about 4 cm worth—so I’m taking this seriously. Over the last month, I’ve managed to drop about 15 pounds. I’m standing at roughly 5'11" now and weigh around 216 lbs, down from where I was at about 230-235 lbs.

For the past month, I’ve completely cut out Coca-Cola and all other sodas. Previously, my diet was pretty terrible: white bread, McDonald's, pizza, pastries, deli sandwiches, processed meats, salami, chips, and so on. On the bright side, I don't drink alcohol or smoke.

Nowadays, I'm sticking to things like cornbread, crackers, various whole-grain breads, spreads, soups, boiled meat, and grilled items (though I skip the pork). I drink plenty of water and pineapple juice. As far as deli meats go, I stick to turkey slices or chicken breast just a few times a week. I also eat tons of salads, yogurt—like Chobani or similar low-fat options—cereals, oatmeal, and stuff like that.

I have to say, it doesn't even feel like I'm eating less than I used to, yet the weight is melting off incredibly fast! That actually scares me a little—I'm worried it might come right back just as quickly if I'm not careful. Lately, I've also been getting a lot of walking in. The first week or two were a total struggle, but now, if I happen to overeat one day, I usually find it easy to hold myself back the next without obsessing over food. Generally speaking, everything is going well; there aren't any massive sacrifices, and I still manage to eat at least five times a day.
