How to get started with agtech and farming investments? in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I’m not entirely sure if this is the right sub for this, but I’ll throw it out there anyway. Does anyone happen to know what kind of federal subsidy we can expect per acre for corn crops?
Another American has arrived!!! in Close to Politics ·
I wish him nothing but the best in life. May he always get to live in a free and independent America!👍
Thanks so much.
You’ve got a point there. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else on this forum has dealt with something similar, so maybe they could give me a heads-up on what to actually expect.
I have a quick question for the group.
My father ended up in the hospital the other day. About six years ago, he underwent surgery for liver and colon cancer.
Everything seemed to be going relatively well until recently.
Now, he’s dealing with intense pain on the right side of his abdomen and a really high fever—around 102 degrees.
Has anyone here gone through something similar? I guess I'm just wondering what I should realistically expect from here.

Thanks in advance.
Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
Yeah, thanks. I’ll make sure to give them a heads-up about the mess they left behind.
I actually hosted a wedding party back in Glacier (Stroussmayer) over in Indianapolis. Honestly, the amount they ripped us off was enough to drive anyone insane.
After the reception wrapped up, we were still sitting on a mountain of leftover cake and food. Then, some relatives dropped by for lunch the next day. If even one or two more people had shown up, we would have actually had enough to feed everyone.
They managed to swipe 10 to 15 liters of bourbon—not to mention all the wine... I mean, the whole thing was just an embarrassment for the hostess. To top it off, she didn't even turn on the AC like we specifically agreed upon. It was a complete disaster from start to finish.
Just a word of advice if you're planning a wedding: get everything in writing. Don't just assume things will work out for $167$300
. Make sure every single detail is settled beforehand, otherwise, you're going to end up paying way too much for everything.
Anyway, that's my two cents.

What a total slap in the face to those arrogant English players.

I think you might have mistaken which team we're talking about.
Or are you actually celebrating that 2:2 draw back in Vojvodina? 😂 😂
I honestly don't see why Mexicans living here in the States should even bother cheering for our teams.
As if we didn't have enough on our plates already....
They've got their own national team to root for, so they can just go ahead and focus on that. 😂 😂 😂
just a little joke, I guess...
History of the Nationalists - Mega-thread in Close to Politics ·
What are we even talking about here?
I’ll give you this much: I agree that Pavelić was nothing more than Mussolini's lackey.
But let’s not conflate two different things. There is Pavelić and his sheer cowardice, and then there is the Nationalists.
I honestly don't get why people are so bothered by the Nationalists. For fifty years, we were forced to watch and listen to parades celebrating those Red bandits. In our schools, they drilled it into us how that supposedly innocent, unarmed army charged headfirst into enemy trenches... blah, blah, blah. And then there’s Bleiburg, the Way of the Cross...
A few of my own ancestors were part of the Nationalists. From talking to them, I gathered that their primary goal wasn't necessarily to swing blades and kill the unarmed Mexican people, but rather to defend the nation from the Red bandits and the Royalists.
Why are we still looking at all of this through the lens that was forced upon us back in '45?
Maybe just give it some thought. 😠

The plantation is located right near the high school. If anyone happens to have some decent literature on growing walnuts or hazelnuts, please let me know. I’m quite interested in getting into fruit cultivation myself.
That said, I haven't really heard from any seasoned pros yet. Is it actually worth the investment, or am I just chasing a pipe dream?😘

Just wanted to drop something into this discussion. I stumbled upon a plot of land featuring about 200 walnut trees, all roughly five years old.
It also comes with about 80 hazelnut bushes. However, I'm running into a few dilemmas...
1. Is it actually worth picking this up for around $3,800?
2. The property isn't fenced, so I'm a bit worried someone might just decide to help themselves to the harvest.
3. What kind of return am I realistically looking at here?
So, there it is.
I’d appreciate any advice you guys can throw my way, if you have any.🙏
