I’ve been stressing out for days and I still can't settle my nerves... I would really appreciate some help here....
I am terrified of getting pregnant... especially an unplanned one....
About two months ago, I hooked up with this guy... without protection... he didn't finish inside, but we all know that isn't exactly reliable.... That was September 1st, then on September 25th, I had my period normally.... but I haven't had the next one since. In other words, I'm about 10 days late now....
I feel bloated... my stomach feels hard... and I'm running to the bathroom constantly....
And I read that these could be early pregnancy symptoms... and that having a normal period last month doesn't necessarily mean anything....
I was on birth control until six months ago... ever since then my cycles have been a mess, but this feels like too much even for me....
I took a test this morning and it was negative.....
But I am freaking out.....
Is it possible to be pregnant despite having my period last month?
If that were the case, I'd be two months along by now..... is it possible for a test to be negative if I'm actually pregnant????
Please... help..................
Is it just stress?!?!?
There isn't a single test that wouldn't pick up a pregnancy if you've truly been pregnant for that long. Plus, you'd definitely be feeling more symptoms by now. Besides, if I recall correctly 😍 😍 , you should be well past two months along by now, making it impossible for nothing to be happening with your body. You admitted your cycles are irregular, and being 10 days late isn't a huge deal. Sure, bleeding can happen during pregnancy, but it's rare, and usually only happens right around the time of intercourse near your period—but from what I gather, yours happened way before that.
Still, it might be best to see your OB-GYN. You really should, and you should probably talk to them about the pill. You can't just take it for five months and then stop for another five. Maybe they just aren't the right fit for you.
Second, birth control is only effective if you're certain your partner isn't cheating and you're in a committed relationship. I don't want to lecture you on fidelity, but if you aren't in a serious relationship, you should probably start using condoms—not just for pregnancy prevention, but for STIs. A baby is the least of your worries then. (To me, a baby is always a blessing, never a problem 😍)!
No matter how hard you try, I just can't wrap my head around being so irresponsible with your own body. Once it happens, it's done.
Sorry if I'm being blunt, I don't mean to be, but...
Go see your doctor regardless; you can't go wrong there. Honestly, I think every woman should go regularly—even before seeing a dentist—if she plans on having kids and being happy down the road...
Unknown!🙂 And let this be a lesson learned.
Keep us posted!🙂
P.S.: Honestly, I don't think you're pregnant. A test would have caught it by now...
