The distinction between PMS symptoms and early pregnancy signs can be incredibly subtle—if there even is one at all. In my own experience, I simply felt my usual premenstrual symptoms were slightly more pronounced than normal, which served as my first hint. Once I realized I was actually pregnant, I was absolutely over the moon... 😍go buy a test!
I woke up this morning feeling quite paranoid. I’ve had some digestive issues since yesterday, which is always a primary indicator for me that my period is about to arrive. I am fully aware that I have to endure all these physical symptoms—feeling as though I'm certainly going to get my period, only for it to never actually show up—but I found myself genuinely frightened nonetheless. Then, upon arriving at the office this morning, I realized I could barely keep my head upright due to how exhausted I feel. It seems as though my chronic fatigue has finally begun to set in, and I’ve also been experiencing some mild bouts of dizziness. As for last night... my husband and I were lying in bed around midnight, and my stomach was just... completely empty. I was famished, truly ravenous. My dear husband got up and brought me something to eat, and I finished it all before falling fast asleep like a baby. 🙂 This pregnancy is quite an interesting journey 😍

It does exist; I actually managed to find their website. In the meantime, I have been speaking with a close friend who has navigated this entire process twice before. I have decided to schedule an appointment with her gynecologist... everything seems to be moving forward steadily🙂
I know Dr. Eljuga works over at the main hospital and runs a private practice too. Anyway, go ahead and enjoy yourself—hopefully I’ll be joining you guys sometime soon! 😉
Thank you so very much for the congratulations and for providing that information. I believe I have heard of Dr. Eljuga before. Thank you once again... 😘
Benjamin Nelson8 said:You could probably get the scan done sooner... though they might not schedule you for an ultrasound right away. Give him a call, lay out the whole situation, and just see what he says...
I’m planning on heading over to the Vineyard, but I have no clue which of them handles private appointments....
And how far along are you? I think I will give them a call and ask. Goodness, my brain feels completely fogged up. Perhaps I am asking foolish questions, but I feel as though I don't know anything anymore...😍
Benjamin Nelson8 said:Then you’ll probably get your order in about two or three weeks... because nothing is going to show up before then, and I wouldn't want you getting unnecessarily worked up over it....
Two or three weeks? That feels like an eternity. It means I have to endure this school schedule for much longer, and they say the worst of the flu season hasn't even hit yet😢 Is it even possible to take medical leave until then? I am at a loss... Does anyone know a reliable private pediatrician who practices around the Vineyard area?
Benjamin Nelson8 said:HERE, just plug in your last period date (LMP) and you can see your estimated due date and exactly which week you're in currently.....
I have already done that. It says I am in my 4th week, with an expected due date of October 30, 2007. A little Scorpio...
Benjamin Nelson8 said:You really ought to consult with your OB-GYN...
Kids are constantly picking up viruses and all sorts of bugs, so honestly, it might be better if you just took sick leave immediately.....
I have scheduled a checkup for next week, so I will wait to see what the doctor has to say... In the meantime, I am looking forward to spending some quiet time catching up on movies from my collection, reading through some books, and taking long walks through the local park. There is also a wedding on the horizon. It is going to be quite hectic, I can already tell... 😍
Alright, I am all ears for some quick advice! What exactly should I be expecting? Are there any specific pitfalls I need to watch out for? And how should I be approaching my nutrition and everything else...
It isn't an error when the result is positive... I used to think that too... CONGRATULATIONS 😘
😍 Thank you! Please, could you go back and read my previous post where I mentioned where I am currently employed? Once you've seen that, perhaps you could offer some guidance on how I should proceed regarding my career situation...

Wait until everything is officially confirmed at the doctor's office before telling your friends 👍—and maybe even hold off on telling the folks for a bit, too (depending on how much they tend to freak out over things) 😘
Actually, my husband already knows. He was right there with me yesterday while I was taking the test. I was weeping with joy, and he just held me, smiling, before falling into a state of complete shock 🙂 He realizes there is no turning back now. One can never truly feel one hundred percent prepared, no matter how much they might wish to
CONGRATULATIONS, ruggedhound14!!! And I was wondering... is everyone here currently pregnant, or are there others who are actively trying to conceive as well?
Sam Kim12 said:Oh, the pure joy of it all... yippeeeeeeee!!😍
Look, mistakes can happen—even the instructions warn you about it, and plenty of people have stories about false positives—but they claim 99% accuracy. There’s always that lingering 1% margin of error, but let's not dwell on the pessimism right now😉 ... you're pregnant, period.😬
If you want absolute certainty, go get an hCG blood test and schedule an appointment with your OBGYN in about a week—I didn't see anything on an ultrasound immediately because, well, my fertilized egg decided to take its sweet time implanting. I guess I fall into that category of "late bloomers"🙂 hehe
Honestly, you all are incredible. You have no idea how much it has meant to me over these last few days (especially yesterday), just being able to talk to someone while waiting for my husband to get home. I don't want to overwhelm my friends or parents with this just yet, so having this community has been such a massive support. Thank you, everyone! 😘
Robert Newman said:Schedule the check-up for six weeks after the last day of your period. Well, at least you can actually see something now.
And yeah, huge congratulations...🙂 🙂 🙂
P.S. There’s one more symptom that really made me start wondering if I might actually be pregnant... I’ve just been feeling incredibly exhausted and sleepy all the time.
Thank you!!! Honestly, I don't feel any sleepier than usual. Do you think I should wait, or would it be better to go sooner? Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a good OB-GYN who has a private practice but also sees patients at Mount Sinai?
coastalmason68 said:rustyorca15 my sincerest congratulations 😘 🎉 I truly am delighted for you! And how on earth did you manage to pull that off so quickly? Do you happen to have some secret formula or recipe for such speed? 😬
reading about your excitement makes me want to jump right in and start a family myself, but I am painfully aware that I must wait a few more months, as the timing simply isn't right just yet.😢
Thank you! 😘 I honestly have no idea. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I was on birth control for three years and only stopped a few months ago (I quit, but we weren't specifically "trying" yet; it just happened to be that we were only intimate during my non-fertile days; I had my Bar Exam and everything else just piled up). I've been reading online that sometimes the ovaries overcompensate once you stop. Well, it doesn't really matter how it happened. What matters is that it finally did. It is such a strange sensation...😍

That is precisely my line of thinking as well, though one cannot help but wonder... this was our very first month attempting to conceive. I have taken on the role of logistics—meticulously tracking fertile windows—while my partner handles the physical aspect of the process. 🙂 On a separate note, I work at a school supporting children with special needs. They tend to be quite susceptible to various illnesses and viruses, which leads me to wonder if I should consider transitioning to maternity leave immediately, or perhaps wait...
THANK YOU! I am honestly at my wits' end. What should my next move be? Should I schedule an appointment with my OB-GYN immediately, or would it be wiser to wait a bit longer and test again just to be absolutely certain? I had a nagging feeling that something wasn't quite right... there are simply too many symptoms occurring that feel entirely out of character for me.😍
Everyone, I simply couldn't contain my anxiety any longer and ended up taking a test last night around 11:30 PM. According to Clearblue, I am pregnant 😍 🙂 Yesterday marked the 28th day of my cycle. Is it possible that I am seeing this too early? Could there be an error in the reading? Should I perhaps purchase a different brand and try testing again... I am actually PREGNANT!!!!
