Don't even joke about that. Seriously, I am not ready. We don't have a place of our own, and both my parents and hers are totally wrapped up in their own lives right now. Being a subtenant these days is already a massive headache without adding a kid into the mix... it would be a total disaster. We aren't prepared, and honestly, I wouldn't want a child to suffer through that kind of instability.
Look, my husband was 22 and I was 26 when I got pregnant. We were renting, I was unemployed—it was a mess, plain and simple. But hey, here we are, and now we actually have another one on the way! Even though things are even tougher now, because man, trying to stretch a budget to feed two people, let alone three or four... it's wild.👍
