Robert Harris43 said:Actually, it's not. It all depends on the position. My doctor told me the exact same thing when I was 13 weeks—she thought she saw something but wasn't 100% sure yet.

I'll find out this Thursday, and honestly, I'm counting down the days.
Robert Harris43 said:Exactly. As long as they are healthy. But then again...
I lean toward a girl, but then I start thinking how great a son would be. It’s a constant loop. 😍

It is still far too early to speculate on what's actually happening under the surface when we're only at thirteen weeks, but then again, life has a way of surprising you.
Robert Harris43 said:I don't buy into that old wives' tale, but fine... I'll let you know once we find out if it's a boy or a girl.😍

I’ll tell you what—for as long as I can remember, my heart has always been set on having a girl, but if it turns out to be a boy, I’ll take that blessing without a second thought. To be perfectly honest, I’ve never really spent much time dwelling on the idea of raising a son, nor have I ever bothered to sit down and brainstorm what kind of name I might give him. At the end of the day, all those preferences feel rather trivial when you consider the only thing that truly matters: that the baby arrives healthy, happy, and sound.

I’ve been watching this entire debate unfold—this endless, circular circling of the drain—and frankly, I am exhausted by the sheer lack of foresight being displayed here. It’s the same old story, isn't it? Everyone is shouting, everyone is convinced they have the moral high ground, yet nobody seems to be looking at the actual data sitting right in front of them. It reminds me of those corporate boardrooms in Chicago where executives spend millions on "consultants" just to tell them what they already know—only to ignore the advice entirely because it doesn't fit their immediate ego. We see it happening again and again. People cling to these outdated, rigid frameworks as if they were gospel, refusing to adapt to the shifting reality of the modern American landscape. The cynicism is palpable. You can feel it in every thread, in every argument. We’re essentially watching a slow-motion collision between stubborn tradition and an inevitable, messy future. And honestly? Most people aren't even prepared for the impact. They’re too busy arguing over the semantics of the crash to realize the car is already heading for the wall. It’s predictable, it’s tiring, and quite frankly, it’s beneath us. kaže:
They say women have some sort of superstitious intuition about what they’ll carry—that they can just sense the gender—but honestly, I couldn't care less about those old wives' tales. Even if my dreams haven't given me a single hint yet, I’m making a pretty bold bet here: it’s going to be a boy. Period.

My son just announced he’s getting engaged... Good grief, I am such a fool—standing there looking like a clueless teenager in the middle of a massive identity crisis.🤣

When is it actually possible to find out the gender?
Robert Harris43 said:It's true. For the first two months, my skin was a total disaster. I actually started wondering if everyone was lying about how glowing pregnant women are supposed to look. 🙄
Then everything just cleared up out of nowhere, and now I feel great.😍

People love to claim that girls have boys, and honestly, I’m betting on a boy too, even though my intuition hasn't given me a single hint so far.
driftinghawk66 said:So, I took a test today and, well, and... I'M PREGNANT!
I honestly have no idea how this happened—well, okay, I know exactly *how*, I just don't know *when* it actually happened. Seriously. 😕 We’ve already gone through three full months 🙂
I'm still in total shock, I can't even believe it. I feel like some clueless teenager who just found out she's pregnant. I'm going to stop typing for tonight, though; I've had more than enough excitement for one day...

Here is my sister's take on how I managed to get knocked up so unexpectedly at twenty-five. But honestly? No regrets here. 🙂 🙂
driftinghawk66 said:Wait, are breakouts actually a sign of pregnancy too????!!!!!????? 😱 😱 😲
I'm really hoping that's not the case... 🙂 😢

Oh, it absolutely is. I haven't dealt with a breakout quite this aggressive in my entire life until right now.
Daniel Robinson6 said:I heard Clearblue is the most reliable one out there... but honestly, if I don't see a positive on my current test soon, I'm just gonna go grab another one and try again...

Come on, man, just take the plunge and you'll finally have your answer. My wife didn't see anything immediately on her pregnancy test, but once she got a more detailed ultrasound, they spotted the gestational sac where the baby actually begins to form.
boldeagle3 said:I find this whole thing somewhat amusing.
Why wasn't this a consideration before things got physical? It seems we're only contemplating the consequences now that the fear has actually set in...😁

Once the damage is done, there’s really no sense in looking back with regret. 🙂
gentlecanyon92 said:It’s terrible, I know 😬 and whoever came up with it 😠

There’s really no sense in letting stress get under your skin; it never yields anything worthwhile. Now, because of all this tension, my baby's arrival is being pushed back even further.
gentlecanyon92 said:Definitely 😁

But let's be real, conceiving isn't easy for everyone; the odds vary wildly depending on the circumstances.

Looking at this specific case, though, she’s probably just dealing with PMS.

I'm giving her a pass for now. 😁

I remember being just as certain myself that my period was coming, but it never arrived. Even this past summer, I dealt with such intense nausea that I was convinced I was pregnant—though I was too terrified to actually take a test. When I finally did, it showed a single line, and then my period showed up the very next day, having been delayed by nothing but pure, unadulterated stress.
gentlecanyon92 said:I wouldn't normally meddle in your or your partner's sex life or your fertility issues... but honestly, anything can happen. 😁

As for the specifics, we'll let the author give us the update..

My partner and I are certainly capable of conceiving. If I had known making a baby was such a simple matter, I would have just worn three condoms at once.
gentlecanyon92 said:Look, there is basically zero chance you’re pregnant if he didn't finish inside you. Sure, maybe some pre-cum got in there, but even if there's sperm in that, it isn't just going to fertilize you on its own. If it were that easy, infertility wouldn't even be a thing.🙄

This happens to everyone eventually. Your period is likely just late because of stress...

But just buy a test so you can stop worrying. Once you relax, your cycle will probably reset.

But how am I pregnant then? We had sex twice in one day—the first time we used a condom, and the second time we didn't, but he still didn't finish inside me. And now, I'm sitting here with a baby on the way.
If it wasn't by the grace of the Holy Spirit
Daniel Robinson6 said:Look, I’ll admit I’ve been thinking about having kids for a while now because I absolutely love children, but now that it's actually happening? Man, it hits different. I feel like I haven't even really "arrived" in life yet—my independence level is basically zero right now. I have this nagging feeling that I wouldn't even know how to take care of a newborn properly. And don't even get me started on the fear of the actual labor pains (especially after my friend gave me the terrifying play-by-play of her delivery!). Plus, there's the whole thing about losing my physique—I'm a total fitness junkie, and honestly, I think a single stretch mark would send me into a total spiral. 😢 I don't even know what I'm going to do...

As for me, I’ve got my independence dialed in at a hundred percent, though for the time being, I'll be staying with my folks until we settle our housing situation; I've lived entirely on my own for seven years now. Believe me, you'll survive them, and as for your figure, you can reclaim it through exercise fairly easily. Try not to let that weigh on you too heavily, as it is arguably one of the least significant things in the grand scheme of life; a few stretch marks aren't going to hinder your journey through this world. I truly wish you nothing but the best. If you find yourself pregnant, you'll soon realize that your focus will shift entirely toward the baby—your only concern will be their well-being and the hope that they arrive healthy and strong.
Daniel Robinson6 said:ughhh... tell me about it. I’m getting all those "signs" too, and now I've even got these stupid breakouts popping up... do I seriously have to take the test first thing in the morning?

Look, there's a chance it could just be stress. My cycle was two months late this summer, and in my head, I had already mapped out my whole life with a baby—only to realize it was just pure anxiety playing tricks on me. I was convinced I was experiencing every single pregnancy symptom, nausea included. Honestly, your best bet is to just take a test as soon as possible and get some clarity. 😘
placidjackal14 said:You can actually use an Clearblue anytime during the day... my period was about five days late and I just took one in the afternoon. But hey, if you want to be 100% sure and avoid any guesswork, stick to that first morning pee.

The test should be around $20 at the CVS, and honestly, it's been the most reliable one I've used—at least for me...

I bought one of those stick tests at a Walgreens near $17, and the moment I used it, two lines appeared almost instantly. It was only around 4:00 PM

I honestly didn't have the patience to play the waiting game; the second I walked through my front door after work around 4:00 PM, I rushed to the bathroom expecting a negative result, only to be met with a positive one. It turns out everyone in my orbit is absolutely over the moon about this baby, whereas I was just sitting there processing it all, but now I find myself actually looking forward to meeting this little tiny human. Everything is going to turn out fine. If you're feeling as restless as I was, just make a quick run to the CVS and let us know what the results say. 😘
Daniel Robinson6 said:thanks... honestly, being pregnant isn't exactly how I pictured my life right now. I'm only 22, still grinding through college, and I'm not even in a serious relationship... God only knows how he'd even react to this news. Ugh...

I truly empathize with you, even though my situation looks a bit different on paper—I'm 25, finally have my college diploma in hand, and I've been with my boyfriend for about six months now. We actually hit it off instantly, but since I just started my career—and let's be honest, it took a few networking connections to land the job—finding myself pregnant feels overwhelming. Mentally, I am in a very dark place. I try my hardest to keep my cool and not let the nerves get the best of me, but it's an uphill battle. I know exactly what you're going through.
Daniel Robinson6 said:So, I was hooking up with my boyfriend the other day (pretty sure I was ovulating, too), and we didn't use any protection, though he pulled out before finishing. Is the pull-out method actually reliable, or am I basically playing Russian roulette with a pregnancy here? My cycle is usually pretty consistent, and I was expecting my period around the 26th. Honestly, I feel like I’m going through absolute hell with PMS right now: my lower back is aching, my left ovary keeps giving me these sharp little stabs, I’m bursting into tears for no reason, and I can't stop snacking. My breasts are super tender and hurt like crazy if anyone even brushes against them. I’ve also noticed some whitish discharge. But the weirdest thing—something that definitely isn't normal for me—is that I've been running a slight fever during the day, like around 99°F... then it vanishes overnight. Plus, I'm hitting the bathroom way more often than usual and my mouth feels constantly dry. Is there a real chance I'm pregnant, or is this just brutal PMS? I'm also freaking out because my period is late, and I can't tell if that's because I'm just incredibly stressed out about this whole situation. Is it too early to go grab a pregnancy test? Thanks in advance for the help, everyone!

It is entirely plausible that you're pregnant; that was my own experience. To give you some context, we used condoms during my ovulation window, but after about ten days of being apart, we were feeling a bit impulsive and opted out of protection once. He didn't finish inside me either, yet here I am, expecting a baby. I had every single physical sign that my period was imminent, but it simply hasn't arrived. Go ahead and take a test—for me, the two lines appeared almost immediately.
