So, if you start your period on a Wednesday, you just take the first pill that same Wednesday. Basically, you're taking that very first tablet on the actual day your cycle kicks off—you know, the first day of your period.
Hey, I found this online and figured it might be useful for some of you:
Medications that can lower the effectiveness of birth control pills
Carbamazepine
Ethosuximide
Metronidazole
Phenobarbital
Phenytoin
Primidone
Rifampin
Tetracycline
Troglitazone
Birth control may decrease the effectiveness of these:
Clofibrate
Lorazepam
Oxazepam
Temazepam
Salicylates
Birth control might boost the effects of these:
Benzodiazepines
Beta blockers
Caffeine
Corticosteroids
Tricyclic antidepressants
Theophylline
I figured I’d jump in here too—I’ve been on Novynette for about three months now, and I’m just starting my fourth pack. I have to say, they’ve been working pretty well for me. The only side effect I’ve noticed is some mild headaches in the evenings, but that’s really it. At least, so far.
After just three months, my PMS symptoms have basically vanished, and my period wasn't painful at all—just a tiny little thing. I originally started taking them because of PCOS. I used to have some pretty serious issues with my ovaries (I actually ended up in the hospital twice because of the intense pain), but even after such a short time on these pills, my cycle has stabilized, and I'm not dealing with the stuff I used to. So yeah, these pills are great for me. 😁😁
Now, I actually have a question for you guys—does anyone know how long it usually takes for your skin to clear up after starting birth control? My face hasn't cleared up yet, though I do deal with those little breakouts along my chin.

I didn't end up making it to my appointment after all—I came down with something and just wasn't feeling up to it.😢Well, I guess that means I'll just have to place another order—no biggie!
Betty Kelly16 said:I’m going through the exact same thing over here—it’s such a headache! Could you please post the details here or maybe just shoot me a DM? I'm curious how the review went and if they're actually planning to fix that logo issue and everything else. 🙂
Alright, I've got my checkup this Thursday—I'll let you know how everything goes!😁
Hey there!🙂So, I’ve got an appointment scheduled at the Mayo Clinic in about a week to check out my deviated septum. I was thinking—maybe—of just asking the doctor if they could touch up my nose a little bit while they're at it...
Here’s the deal: I don't really have a hump or anything—it's super tiny and honestly not even that noticeable. It’s more that my nose looks a bit more prominent when I see my profile, you know? Like, the bridge bone is just a little stronger than I'd like.
Does anyone know if doctors usually only do aesthetic fixes for people with actual humps, or do they handle noses like mine too? I think that makes sense, but I'm not sure how to explain it. If anyone knows, please let me know!😕

Oh, thanks so much!🙂
Hey there! I have a quick question🙂. I went to see my doctor to get a referral for an ENT exam—specifically for a deviated septum—at the local Mayo Clinic, and I was wondering if anyone knows if I actually need to make an appointment beforehand, or if I can just show up and see if they can squeeze me in?🤷
Rebecca Thompson76 said:Just figured I’d jump in here too! So, if you don't have a deviated septum, you can still go through with it, but you'll have to cover the costs yourself. But if you *do* have one, they can usually do the aesthetic part at the same time—though, I guess it really depends on the doctor whether they charge extra for that (if they do, it shouldn't be more than $3,000, $1333). I actually just had my septum surgery about seven days ago, and my doctor went ahead and fixed a little bump on my nose while he was at it—totally free! Just a heads-up though, definitely ask him when you're scheduling everything. If you don't bring it up, they probably won't touch anything outside of what was originally planned, since changing the external shape means they have to change your medical diagnosis.
I have a deviated septum and I’d honestly love to get the cosmetic stuff done too... how does that process even work? Like, did you just see your primary doctor to get a referral and then schedule the consultation, or...?
Yeah, and my fibrinogen is actually high too—so I can't take birth control pills right now. I wonder if maybe it's elevated because of that sore throat I had recently? Thank you!🙂
Hey, can I get a little help here?🙂My results show😁Segmented neutrophils at 73.71H (reference interval is 50-70)—so, if I'm understanding this right, my white blood cell count is a bit high—and MCHC is 347H (50-70), but I'm not really sure what that one means exactly?
About three weeks ago, I had a sore throat and treated it with Clavulin, but even after that, my throat still feels a little tender—just when I swallow, though. I actually saw my doctor a couple of days ago, and she told me there wasn't any need for more antibiotics, even though my throat was feeling a bit inflamed.
But now, my throat is still bothering me and I've started coughing a little, though I don't have a fever. Just to mention, I originally had my blood drawn for liver function tests, so they just did a full CBC while they were at it. I'm honestly not sure what to do about this sore throat—should I probably head back to the doctor for another look??
Hey everyone😍! I have a quick question—if anyone knows the answer, could you let me know? I really don't feel like digging through all the old threads myself🙄
Does getting a deviated septum repair plus a little bit of rhinoplasty cost extra? I've got a deviated septum and my nose is a bit larger than I'd like, so I’m looking to get it fixed. I was just wondering how the billing actually works, because I feel like I hear so many different things about it... thanks😬
It’s definitely been helping me... I actually first started taking it for my anxiety and depression disorder, but now I'm back on it because those panic attacks and all that constant anxiety have started creeping back in. I feel like things are improving, though—the only thing I've really noticed is that my hands shake quite a bit. It isn't anything major, but I'm guessing it might be from the Lexapro? Or maybe my body just hasn't fully adjusted yet, since I was only taking half a pill for the first four days before moving up to a full dose. Hopefully, that part will pass soon🙂🙂
I guess some people just love them, while others can't stand them... maybe it’s all just down to anxiety, who knows?🤷
I wanted to apologize in advance if this topic is a bit out of place here🙂...so, I've been taking Lexapro for just over 20 days now to help manage my anxiety, and I’ve started noticing that my hands are shaking quite a bit. I was wondering—could this maybe be a side effect from the medication?
Just to add a little context, I actually took Lexapro about a year ago and don't remember having any issues like this back then—at least, I don't think I did. I only have one cup of coffee a day and maybe up to five cigarettes at most, so I'm guessing it probably isn't caused by that. Has anyone else dealt with anything similar? Thanks so much in advance!😉😁
So, this girl has fallen head over heels... she basically doesn't see anyone else besides her guy anymore😁..but still, it’s not really okay that she isn't checking in or responding
