Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
"Leon" does incredible work... though I have to admit, they aren't exactly budget-friendly. They cost an absolute fortune! But honestly, all credit where it's due. A colleague of mine recently used them for her wedding, and the photos were absolutely stunning—plus she got a top-tier DVD just two months after the big day. The guys really went above and beyond. There were probably four or five photographers and two videographers on site, and they were practically rolling on the floor just to get the perfect shot. Seriously, they are fantastic.

"Leon" does incredible work... but man, they aren't cheap. They cost an absolute fortune, but I have to give them all the credit. A colleague of mine just had them out for her wedding, and the photos were absolutely stunning. Plus, she got her DVD in just two months, which is actually pretty fast. Samuel Gomez312 said:Quick question for the group—has anyone here ever brought their own food to the venue? I’m talking about the whole setup where you drop off the ingredients and have the catering staff prep, cook, or grill everything for you. If you’ve pulled this off, could you give me a rough idea of what the total damage was and how many guests you were feeding? Please, I’m desperate!
I'm just trying to figure out if this is actually a smart move or if it's even worth the hassle!

I wouldn't recommend it because when we were looking at venues like the local community center, the math just didn't work out. You might break even, but it’s a huge gamble$167 and honestly, you'll go crazy trying to store all that food (especially if the wedding is during a hot summer month)

My family wanted to bring everything themselves, but once we actually sat down and crunched the numbers, it wasn't worth it at all... I would have had to rent a storage unit before the wedding just to keep everything safe, especially if you try to buy stuff on sale ahead of time... it just doesn't pay off...

The only thing that ended up being cheaper was the dessert... we could get way more treats for the price they were quoting us for catering...

At first, we were looking at an option where it was $53 per person + maybe around $15 $0.00 for the venue and chefs—which was the most expensive route—but after we wrote everything down and picked our specific menu, it turned out that doing it for 120 guests with some small add-ons was actually a great deal.

So, my advice is to put everything on paper... weigh all your options and you'll see what works best....

I thought I’d jump in here and join the conversation, even though I’m coming at this from somewhere out near the Midwest...
-Our big day is set for September 13, 2008.
-We actually already traded rings for our wedding bands!
-The reception is going to be held at the Smith Hall in Small Town, USA—it’s absolutely gorgeous.
-I found my wedding dress on the very first try at the Johnson boutique.
-I've picked out the invitations and thank-you notes, but I'm planning on doing some DIY touch-ups myself once I actually get started.
-We have officially locked in the ceremony time.
-The whole vibe, both at the venue and our house, is going to be white with little pops of red... we even went ahead and reserved white chair covers, which wasn't cheap since we're expecting about 300 guests.
-Anyway, I could really use a little bit of advice... I'm struggling a bit with deciding on boutonnieres for the groomsmen, brothers, sisters, and parents (everyone else in the wedding party will just have small sprigs of rosemary with a white ribbon). If anyone has any examples of boutonnieres or just some general tips, I'd love to hear them!

Our Big Day is coming up on September 13, 2008, over at the Mayo Clinic in Sioux Falls.
We've got "The Musicians" lined up to play.
I know firsthand that these guys are absolutely fantastic... they actually just finished a three-weekend stretch playing weddings for some friends of mine, and they were incredible. Seriously, everyone was out on the floor dancing.

Has anyone here had experience with them, or maybe spent some time at the Mayo Clinic venue before?
Dealing with pollen and dust allergies... in Health ·
I’ve just started dealing with seasonal allergies this year, specifically with pollen 🙄.

I have some tablets on hand... I think they're called Claritin
.
I also picked up a nasal spray inhaler—it's actually medication. It finally started kicking in after about five days, so I actually had my first peaceful night of sleep yesterday👍.

It really is quite awful, though... losing your sense of taste and smell. On the bright side, I guess there's one little advantage: nothing smells bad to me, and I can eat absolutely anything without issue🤣

About two months ago, I started sneezing constantly, and now my nose is completely stuffed up.
It’s gotten to the point where it feels more like breathing through my mouth than actually getting air.
I end up sleeping with my mouth wide open all night, and by morning, my lips are totally parched and cracked from the dryness. The worst part, though, is that on top of losing my sense of smell, I can't really tell the difference between sweet, salty, or bitter anymore...

Does anyone have any advice or tips?

Honestly, we actually had to book Miller five months in advance just to snag the first available opening on September 13th, 2025.
The wait is definitely a bit long, but I always have such a great time there, so it’s worth coordinating everything with my manager beforehand.

We went ahead and booked the "musician"...I haven't personally heard them play yet, but everyone I know says they're pretty solid.
Breast reduction surgery: experiences and advice? in Women's Health ·
They’ll cut out a decent chunk, stretch the skin tight, and stitch it all up.

Hey, how old is she, and is she carrying any extra weight?

Does she actually realize that doing this could lead to a whole mess of complications? Honestly, shouldn't you be the one walking her through those risks? I mean, come on—women pay big bucks at places like Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery just to get a little lift.

If we're talking about a medical necessity, like if she’s dealing with chronic back pain, then sure, that changes things.
