I’ve honestly been feeling so lucky up until now, so I’m just praying I merely overexerted myself a little. I really hope this passes soon so they don't keep feeling like heavy stones :/ Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 😢
..signature... + hands... I guess a cold bath is the only temporary thing that helps me, but I absolutely hate it, I get such bad goosebumps every time I step in 😠
Rebecca Vaughn7 said:I am constantly terrified and worrying about this baby. It’s just one thing after another... bleeding, what I eat, medications, hair dye, whether I’m exercising too much or not enough, if I’m getting enough sleep, her heartbeat, why I can't feel her yet, then why I suddenly feel her so intensely, will I catch CMV or toxoplasmosis, what about a shortened cervix, or if there are issues with the pregnancy being a high-risk case here in the USA... if she's born now, will she survive being this tiny? And if she does, what kind of long-term consequences will she face? If we actually make it to the due date, will the placenta hold up? Will she turn head-down? If she stays breech, will they force a C-section on me, or will some overconfident doctor try a vaginal delivery? Will there be hypoxia? Intracranial hemorrhaging? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa😢
..honey, you are way too deep into those Dark forums... I mean, it’s fine to know the facts and be aware that these things *can* happen, but please, just put all that info aside and stop stressing me out with all those fears, okay?? Just try to stay positive and keep repeating to yourself, "my baby is doing great, my baby is healthy, everything is perfectly fine with my little one"... and it really will be!! Don't go inviting the bad vibes in!! It might be better to just read about the beautiful parts of pregnancy instead.. 🙂
Bryan Diaz said:Feeling under the weather? Honestly, this heat is getting to me too—it’s just so draining. Let me go check the thermostat real quick... 😛driftingcobra7, it's actually 86 degrees in my place!
On a different note, my back is killing me again. I think it's because I was stuck in one position for over 20 minutes during the CTG, which is a bit frustrating since I was actually feeling pretty good about being mobile again yesterday.
Yup, looks like he managed to get sick :nezna:
I would honestly trade anything right now just to have those two degrees of difference! 😁
..and then there's the back pain and the pelvic bone ache.. 🙄 ..you're basically ready to pop any second, while I feel like nobody even notices me anymore..but man, it hurtsttttttt 🙂 ..ugh..though, I'm not sure how it feels for you, but for me, it seems to hurt the least when I'm actually moving around..sitting for a long time (anything over thirty minutes), lying down, or trying to sleep is just pure torture, I can barely even get up, everything just goes crack, pop, snap... ouchhhhhh 😛
Ugh, I am seriously losing my mind because it is freaking 90 degrees in my house right now, and even with the fan blasting, it feels like absolutely nothing is happening! To make matters even worse, my little guy is running a fever of 100.8, and he seems totally fine while I’m over here feeling all swollen and sluggish, basically having to baby him through everything!!! I just can't wrap my head around how on earth he managed to catch a fever when it's a blistering 104 outside 🤔 😠
I was just thinking about what driftingcobra7 mentioned earlier, and honestly, I kind of agree! It’s funny how things work out like that, isn't it? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I feel like there's so much more to the story than we initially thought. I guess we could look at it from a different angle if we really wanted to, though I suppose it might be a bit of a stretch. Anyway, I just wanted to share those little thoughts while they were on my mind!
Bryan Diaz said:The doctor just confirmed it’s a girl! But please, let's keep this off Facebook for now—I really don't want anyone knowing yet, especially my husband since I'm still pretty annoyed with him. I also had a bit of a run-in with the woman working the front desk at the hospital, which honestly just made my day worse. She accidentally took two of my referrals when she should have only taken one, and by the time I realized the mistake and went back to get the extra one returned, she gave me such a hard time. She kept insisting it was noted on my outpatient chart that I was doing a second visit, but I looked, and there was absolutely nothing written there!
Heyyyy, girl! 😍😍 I don't really have any issues with Facebook, though I guess I just don't have those kinds of habits when it comes to using social media! 😉)
I was just sitting here thinking about what Quincy said earlier, and honestly, it really got my gears turning! It’s funny how those little observations can totally shift your perspective on things, isn't it? I guess I might be overthinking it, but I can't help but feel like there's a much bigger picture at play here than we initially realized. Maybe we should all take a second to step back and really digest that idea before we jump to any conclusions. It feels like such an interesting angle to explore, almost like when you're trying to solve a tricky puzzle and suddenly everything just clicks into place! Anyway, I'm just rambling now, but I'd love to hear if anyone else felt that same spark of realization.
Sarah Adams3 said:Why is everyone exactly the same??? 🤣 I’m feeling so incredibly optimistic today! Even though I was just saying how broke I am until my maternity leave kicks in, and how we're totally screwed and won't even have enough food to eat...🤣🤣
But then he goes, "What do we really need? We have each other, and we have our baby." Like, wow...😕 oh my goooooooood
Oh man, you should have seen my husband yesterday! We were out grabbing some basic essentials for the fridge because, honestly, the only thing left in there was a lonely little tub of margarine. He just sighed and told me that this sixth month of the year has been a total wash—he felt like he hasn't actually made any real money for himself or anyone else at the company lately. It’s just one of those months where everything feels a bit underwhelming, I guess! 😲 So, I guess the official company car is finally all fixed up and ready to go, but there’s a bit of a catch—it’s just sitting there at the mechanic's shop because I don't actually have the cash on hand to cover the repair bill yet. It feels a little bit ridiculous, honestly, since I've finished every single job I was assigned, but somehow, not a single one of them has been paid out yet! 🤦 I only just found out about all this yesterday... and honestly, I’m at a total loss as to how we even manage to get by some months... I really don't know! Now I’m just sitting here feeling so incredibly guilty because I realized just how much I spent this month on things that we—well, maybe they weren't strictly essential for us right now, or even in general! And to make matters worse, the registration deadline is coming up in just fifteen days... and there isn't even any certainty about whether these paychecks are actually going to come through or not... ugh... but I guess that’s just how things work with the government around here; nothing seems to be properly regulated by law, not even a little bit! :2up:
Bryan Diaz said:Honestly, my incredibly selfish husband has me absolutely fuming today—he spent the entire afternoon just lounging at a Starbucks, waiting for me to wrap up my checkup at the hospital. When I actually asked him to come inside and keep me company, he reacted like I’d just handed him a death sentence or something. I should probably mention that I was stuck in that waiting room for five and a half hours while he was just... well, completely unbothered, sipping his coffee. Other husbands were right there waiting for their wives, but mine? He just couldn't be bothered. And the absolute kicker—the real icing on the cake—is that he didn't even ask how the appointment went. Now that I finally have my results, I think I might just keep them to myself for a while! 😛
...................I totally feel you....mine is exactly the same way...though, I suppose he does at least ask for the doctor's report, but heaven forbid he actually sits in the waiting room with me...
Anthony Watson35 said:Not even worth commenting on—but seriously, what the hell is "kevčija"? 🤷 Edit: Just realized my girl isn't even texting me back. No calls. Nothing. Thanks for nothing, little joys of life 😍
..well, dear, a "kevčija" is basically just a scoop or a ladle, you know, like those big kitchen utensils we use... and people keep trying to insist to me that it's some classic American slang, though I'm pretty sure it's actually a regionalism from elsewhere, but hey, whatever the "patriots" want to believe.. 🙄
..and yeah, honestly, be glad she isn't blowing up your phone with texts or calling you twice a day just to ask where her sons are (even though she totally KNOWS they're at work!) because, let's be real, she's really just calling to check up on YOU—to see if you're actually being a good daughter-in-law or if you're slacking off! 😳
Honestly, I think I might actually lose my mind over my mother-in-law’s spelling, especially when she sends me those little texts... things like "ormen" instead of cabinet, calling a saucer a "plietki tanjir," or using weird terms like "kevčija"... and don't even get me started on her asking "what are you cooking for lunch?" or saying stuff about "baby wriggling." It just drives me absolutely crazy, I guess!
It honestly feels like everyone is just losing their grip on basic grammar these days... I mean, it’s getting pretty wild, especially when you see people typing out things like "with me" or "with nobody" using those totally broken, non-standard phrases that just don't make any sense in English. 🙂
Jonathan Grant2 said:Honestly, it’s been driving me absolutely insane lately how nobody seems to take me seriously as a pregnant woman... or honestly, just as a person at all. Like, my servers at the restaurant treat me more like one of the gang than the actual boss. I’ll tell them fifteen different times to switch up the playlist—or I'll just go ahead and do it myself—but fifteen minutes later, they’re right back to their old habits. And then you’ve got these older folks sitting out on the patio, trying to enjoy themselves, while the music is just thumping away like crazy. It’s so disrespectful. I’ll ask them to go clean the restrooms, and instead, they just sit there and light up a cigarette.😠 Look, I’m not really the type of person who wants to go around barking orders and playing drill sergeant just to keep order, but if I’m the one paying your wages, and I’m being fair to you by giving you perks that literally no other boss would ever dream of allowing, then for heaven's sake, just put in some effort.🙄 Just yesterday, this waitress was opening up the cafe in the morning, and I sat down at the counter for a second just to clear my head and catch my breath, and she actually sits right down next to me and asks me to make *her* a coffee.😲
..well, I think you should tell them that people are sitting on the patio who aren't enjoying their music choices, and that they shouldn't undo what you've already set if they can't realize on their own that the vibe isn't right..plus, the bathroom shouldn't be filled with cigarette smoke. They can sit down once their work is actually done! As for the whole coffee thing, maybe you should have asked her: "Should I just take over your job so you can go find something else?" ..you guys can be perfectly nice, but people still need to know who's in charge... I used to work in service and I'm still on great terms with all my old bosses, but everyone knew that if I messed up, I'd have to deal with the consequences... you just have to explain that to them, and don't worry, they won't hate you or anything.. you've gotta show a little backbone! 🙂
Laura Booth6 said:Maybe he just meant is the baby active, you know, kicking hard and moving around and all that.. 🤔
At least that would have been my first thought.. 🙂
😁 😁
I feel the same way sometimes. I'll start yelling, "I'm pregnant!" just to get someone to bring me this or that, basically just to remind them in case they forgot. 😬
Honestly, being pregnant has become my excuse for everything 😁
But what gets on my nerves most is the constant peeing. Getting up twice a night because of it, the waking up... I hate going to the bathroom! 😠
God forbid I go overboard on watermelon in the evening (since I absolutely love it), then I'd probably need a cup right next to my bed.
Yesterday I polished off over 4 pounds of watermelon, and today I only had to get up three times. 🙂
..it crossed my mind too, but he was seriously asking if the baby was alive... because I answered him by saying, "Of course it is, it's kicking like crazy!".. and he just goes: "Ah, so you feel it regularly, okay good!" ..honestly, it was like he thought I was some kind of idiot... he's always been a bit of a character, thinking he's the smartest guy in the room who knows everything, so I guess he was just trying to act smart again.😠
..So my brother-in-law just got back from his beach vacation and swung by my place last night just to check in on me, asking if everything was okay and—get this—if the baby was still alive 😲😲 I mean, seriously, WTF? You’re really asking me that when I’m already eight months pregnant?? My hair practically stood on end...
Anthony Watson35 said:Man, driftingcobra7, you’re really out here coming for the cats. The ones smoking cigarettes are basically walking pregnancy posters, yet you—with your well-behaved little house cat—almost look like a murderer. God, I hate how narrow-minded people can be. 😠
I just stared at a magazine for a few minutes and felt my soul leave my body... one of those women's rags designed for people who've completely checked out of reality. Basically, it goes like this: - Sex... uhm... yeah, I like it, and I have fond memories. Once upon a time, long ago... - Sunscreen. Not even planning on seeing the sun this year. - Anti-cellulite cream. For the first time, I actually have some significant amounts to deal with, and apparently, I'm not even allowed to touch anything. - New makeup trends. Who cares? It's not like I have anywhere to go. - Clothes. Nothing fits. And there I was, buying all this stuff like I was just relaxing and treating myself in the afternoon... as if I'm trying to drive myself to an early grave. 🙂
.. 😂😂😂 and honestly, it seems like you’re just hunting down every possible insecurity of a pregnant woman, even your own.. are you a masochist? 😁 ..just kidding.. maybe try picking up some good prose instead... I've been reading John Dunning lately, those mystery series with detective Cliff Janeway... they're actually really good, highly recommend! 🙂

..well, you're probably right, I suppose things aren't going to go any other way.. 👍
driftingcobra7 Asks: Then comes the digging through everything being moved from room to room as the painting progresses. What business is it of yours how many pairs of shoes I own? Why I have a box overflowing with old concert tickets? Or why I’ve got a pile of black—and I quote, "funeral" style—shrouds? Mind your own business.
😠😠😠
😱 For God's sake, did he actually explain to them that this was his own choice? (I really hope it was.) And what kind of twisted logic is that? Where is the actual cruelty in it? It isn't cruel to leave a woman to suffer through labor alone, but apparently, it’s "cruel" to a man if he decides to stand by her side? Give me a break. 😱
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 🙂 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA God, I hate it when people stay stuck in the Stone Age, AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
...even if he did explain it, maybe he just phrased it in a way where he expressed how much he wanted to go with her, so of course he went... but regardless of how he worded it, I truly feel like it isn't anyone else's business to meddle in their private lives... 🙂

..and honestly, I am just so incredibly frustrated right now.. ..first off, my in-laws.. we spent from Monday to Thursday painting four rooms and the hallway, but the work keeps getting interrupted constantly because of coffee breaks, visitors, or just whatever else comes up... and then there are those million pieces of advice I never asked for, followed by all that huffing and puffing when I don't take them. Like, seriously, why are you meddling? If I want everything white instead of trimmed where it’s dirty, please don't suggest it a hundred times—just tell me you don't feel like helping, and I'll hire a professional and maybe we'd actually be done by now..
..then there's the constant digging through my stuff while we're moving things from room to room to keep the painting going.. what business is it of yours how many shoes I own, or why I have a box full of old concert tickets and memorabilia, or why I have these black (quote: "funeral shrouds") clothes??? 😠
..and last night, they were interrogating me about why my husband owns three air rifles, why they are even kept in the house, why he hands them to other people, why I don't just forbid him from having them.... look, he's your son, for heaven's sake! Tell him yourselves, don't come at me!!
..and oh, why am I supposedly so "cruel" and "selfish" for making him go to the family reunion with me? What is he even going to do there?! WTF??? If he was man enough to help move things in, he can be man enough to pull them out! ..besides, I already explained to him that his only job is to be there for me; he isn't there to watch people eat pizza or judge anyone's lifestyle... he won't see anything anyway... and he agreed to it himself... but noooo, apparently I'm just being cruel!!! :2up:
..and the absolute peak of it all happened today... my father-in-law tells me: "get the cat out of the house before the baby arrives." I told him the cat is staying.. I mean, are you actually sane? Why bring animal hair and diseases into the house? He started telling these horror stories about how someone lost a baby because of a cat, or a baby choked on fur, or some third kid had their leg amputated because a hair got stuck somewhere... 🤦 ...so I said again: the cat stays, she isn't a killer, she's clean, I brush her constantly, she never goes outside, and she only eats dry food, so there are NO diseases.. "Yeah, sure, 🙂 God forbid anything happens, but if it does, you'll regret it, and you'll never forgive yourself!" ..it's almost like they want something bad to happen just so they can say they were right. Our child, our decision. If things don't work out, we'll find the cat a new home, but until then, stay out of it. My brothers and I were all born around cats and nobody ended up in the hospital, and you guys didn't get this worked up over anything more important than this.... 😳 ...and then, dammit, I really poked the bear there.. "What haven't we worried about then?" ..well, apparently, both the daughter-in-law and the daughter smoked during pregnancy and gorged themselves on sweets and soda, so the little girl has skin issues and the little boy has allergies to everything living...
..and now, there's just silence.. and everyone is giving me the cold shoulder 😁..but let them.. mm, my husband is on my side... and that's the most important thing.. it's just that he's such a pushover that he won't actually say anything to them 🙄
..and the icing on the cake.. my husband.. I was working myself to death last night, trying to finally finish the painting and the cleaning and get everything in order.. and he's just sitting there, acting like I can't do any more... yeah, I told him, "Oh, I guess it'll just finish itself!?" Since my fifth month, I've been saying we need to get this painted, but everyone acts like there's plenty of time, plenty of time... and then he looks at me all confused and offended, "Well, what do you expect? Is it magically finished?" Yes, it's finished, but look at what I look like after three days of this in 95-degree heat!!! ...good grief, the way he went quiet... but wow, he's wonderful today, everything is going smoothly and everything feels possible and everything passes... ugh 🙄
..maybe it's the hormones or whatever, but I've been losing my mind these last few days 😵🙂
Bryan Diaz said:Last night, my little one was driving me absolutely crazy—and they haven't even made their big debut yet. It was one of those frustrating moments where it felt like there wasn't a single movement in sight, no matter what I tried. I was practically begging my husband to step in and give my belly a good shake or a firm pat; well, as soon as he actually did that and stepped back, the baby finally decided to stir. It wasn't exactly a marathon, mind you—just a tiny little nudge—but it was definitely something. Thankfully, things seem to be moving a bit more regularly now. It’s still just subtle little flutters, but hey, movement is movement. Honestly, after how quiet everything was last night, I was already half-prepared to make a frantic midnight trip to the ER.
..but don't you worry too much, because I think they're just feeling the heat, too! I've noticed that mine only seems to start moving once things cool down and I finally stop being so overheated and frazzled myself... though, if you try using cold water to cool off, I usually get the same old unresponsive answer from them... 🙂
Bryan Diaz said:Actually, I just had a sharp pang right now—it feels lower down, almost like it's deep inside my pelvic area. It’s such a sudden sensation that my reflex is just to squeeze my legs together and tense up. If I try to push through it and keep being active, the pain just lingers, so I usually have to stop and rest. This all started maybe a week or two ago, and I suppose it might hang around for a while. It seems to flare up whenever I'm moving around—you know, like when I'm trying to stand up or even just walking. But if I'm just sitting still or resting, it doesn't really bother me.
...I wonder if that's actually your pubic bone hurting, way down low... maybe when you have to squeeze your legs together or take a big step, or lean more onto one leg? ...ugh...
..And honestly, what’s really getting to me?? I feel like there’s absolutely no oxygen in the air, I can't catch my breath, and I am sweating like crazy! I feel like I need to shower again immediately after I get out of the shower, and my blood pressure is just all over the place—it constantly drops, and I feel so lightheaded... it'll be 75/50, then 100/50, then 120/60, and then it just plunges again... plus my heart rate is mostly staying above 110... it's just so much to deal with... oh, and then there's the swelling in my hands and feet, the headaches, and this constant, heavy exhaustion... I feel like I'm going to burst into tears🙂
..mm, well, we’re actually heading to the coast this Saturday! We were originally aiming for June, but life just kind of got in the way and things piled up, you know? So, we'll be there for ten days... and I'm five months along now. Everything was fine until this morning when my mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and both my husband's uncle and aunt basically cornered me to give me the "talk." I can't really say anything to my husband about it, so I guess they figured they could just try to scare me off... but honestly, I think I'm even more stubborn than he is! 🤣... ..they're all telling us to be so careful, suggesting we leave a day early so we can stay overnight somewhere first (as if we're trekking all the way to China instead of just driving to Martha's Vineyard!), warning me not to bump into anything, saying I should sit in the back seat so I can lie down (and what, throw up??), and then they had the nerve to suggest I shouldn't swim in the ocean because of bacteria. I mean, seriously, bacteria in the ocean? 🙄 As if! I wouldn't step foot in a swimming pool if someone paid me, gross! Then there's the whole "what are we going to eat?" and "what if you feel sick, where will you find a doctor?" (like we're living in the middle of nowhere, right?), and then the classic line that first-time moms have to be super cautious because once you have one, everything just settles back into place and you can do whatever you want... wtf???.... 😠😠 ..give me a break! My blood pressure was through the roof, but I just laughed in their faces and told them: "okay, sounds good..." 👋 he he ..so, Jeremy Thomas5, I totally get where you're coming from, but I'd say just ignore the noise and stick to your own plans, provided your doctor gives you the green light! 👍
...poor grandma...I really hope she found her grandpa again and that everything turned out okay...
...honestly, this whole thing just sent my blood pressure through the roof! Back when I was first pregnant, I was absolutely craving sour milk, you know? Like, obsessed. And she used to go out and buy this raw milk from a local farmer and put it in jars to ferment for me...but man, I guess I learned my lesson, because after reading all those scary stories about fake Listeria outbreaks, I totally stopped drinking it. But then, she goes ahead and buys three more gallons and puts them in two big jars anyway! I told her straight up, "Look, I am not touching that anymore, please just leave me alone, I don't need any Listeria in my life..." That was back on Friday...and then she headed off to Canada...and we followed her over the weekend since it was the anniversary of my father-in-law's uncle passing away. Well, today I’m looking at that milk...the cream that had risen to the top has thickened up weirdly, and there are these little spots of red, pink, green, and black...it looks like a freaking rainbow. Translation: bacteria!!! 😲😲 'So there's three gallons of milk sitting there....so I just tossed it...👍 ...and then she calls me up...."Hey, honey, grab that milk from downstairs and use it to make some burek or mashed potatoes!" and I was like, "No way, it went bad, I threw it out..." Oh my god.....she goes, "Why?! Seriously, it doesn't matter if it's spoiled, that's just how it is! You shouldn't have done that, what a waste...!!!" 😱 😠
...yeah, sure, I should have just swallowed it and poisoned myself, my baby, and my husband just so she wouldn't feel like she wasted a few bucks $6.75!!! ...yeah...of course... 🙏🙏 🙄
...so, we were over at my grandpa's last night for his 77th birthday party...we brought him some sugar-free chocolate, those sugarless candies, and even some sugar-free fizzy multivitamins...just so he might actually get the hint, you know? Honestly, he’s one of those diabetics who just won't give up the pastries, the bacon, or huge helpings of margarine—basically, he just loves overeating. He’s sitting there at 280+ lbs with a massive belly, and after having heart surgery, he was supposed to drop about 30 lbs so he could head out to Palm Springs for some rehab...but instead, he actually gained another 20! And then, right to my face last night, he goes: "Hey kiddo, when are you planning on stopping the weight gain???" Like, seriously, WTF 😲 😕 ...so I just blurted out, "Grandpa, I'm pregnant...!!!" And he just looks at me and says, "And how much do you weigh now?" I mean, jeez, what am I even supposed to say to that? So I told him, "Just stay level, okay..." but then he starts being totally relentless...like, what do you guys want from me? I've gained 14 pounds already, so what if I gain another 14? 😛 😠...and as I'm leaving, there he goes again: "So, when are you starting to lose the weight?" Honestly, once I have this baby, man, you guys can all just let me be! I know I've got some extra weight on me, so please don't judge me too hard...ufff 😠
..well..zero tolerance..that’s just how they have to write the rules, I guess, because most people are probably thinking, "hey, if I can have a little bit of wine, then surely nothing bad will happen if I grab a couple of beers too"...so they just go with zero for everything to keep things simple and avoid any headaches.. ..my own gynecologist actually told me personally that it's fine to have a little black cherry or blackberry wine every now and then since my blood pressure gets really low..she even said I could have up to a pint of beer a day, though of course, she meant that should always be done after eating a meal..
..honestly though..who can really say who's being unreasonable here? 🤷
..oh my goodness, I just found out I'm pregnant, and suddenly everyone is showering me with advice like I’ve never even heard the word before... I mean, my own mom isn't doing it—thank goodness—but my mother-in-law and sister-in-law? Good grief... it's constant! "Don't do this," "don't do that," "you need to lie down and rest," "don't clean anything" (so you want me to live in a pigsty, I guess?), "eat this," "don't eat that," "make sure you get on Folacin immediately," "take these vitamins"... honestly, everyone just needs to chill out!!! 😠 ..I mean, seriously, give me a break! Our moms and grandmas used to work right up until the day they gave birth, and they didn't need all these fancy supplements or constant fussing to turn out perfectly fine... I just don't get it! They read one article or hear one thing on the news and suddenly they think they're absolute experts on everything... 😛😵 ..and I can't help but wonder what's going to happen once the baby actually arrives... my mother-in-law is already lecturing my brother-in-law about it, and they don't even live under the same roof! I'm genuinely worried I might lose my mind when she starts camping out right outside my bedroom door once I deliver... oh boy..
