I don't get how people struggle to see why she stayed with him for a while. He provided everything—food, clothes, a place to stay—and they had their fun. She enjoyed it for a bit, then eventually, she just decided she was done.
It’s obvious what happened. Once the truth came out, he knew he was looking at life in prison or even the death penalty, and let's face it, he wouldn't have lasted a day in an American penitentiary. So, he took his own life.
Bottom line? She lived like royalty until she got bored of it.
