Can a tooth infection cause sinusitis? in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
Good evening.
I’m dealing with an acute inflammation in my right maxillary sinus that just won't budge, even after finishing a course of antibiotics. I'm starting to wonder if there's a risk of the infection spreading to the tooth roots—especially since my canine roots are quite long.
Asthma Management in Health ·
Has anyone here had their blood pCO2, pO2, and pH levels analyzed, and what were your results like?
Ever since I had COVID, I've been dealing with constant fatigue, and for at least the last six months, I've been struggling with non-stop headaches.
My blood pH is slightly higher than normal, and my pCO2 is a bit lower compared to the standard reference ranges.
Everything seems to point toward respiratory acidosis, unless that’s just a typical finding when you're managing Asthma.
Waking up at night to pee: any tips? in Health ·
It all seemed to kick off after I started taking this stuff called Leponex. I began waking up in the middle of the night, around 3 AM, needing to pee constantly—sometimes for five minutes straight.
It didn't last forever, and then I just had these heavy bouts of urination right after waking up in the morning.
But lately, things have taken a weird turn: now I’m having trouble actually going.
The flow is weak and hesitant; it takes a minute or two just to get things moving.
There’s no stinging sensation, but I’ve got this strange feeling below my testicles. It’s not an intense pain, but more like a sharp, cutting sensation coming from the side above my hips.
I went for a standard urinalysis, and the results showed some bacteria, cloudy urine, and some ketones.
Everything else looked fine, though—no glucose in the urine.
My blood sugar levels are totally normal.
What am I looking at here? Could it be my prostate?
Why is this waking me up and forcing me to run to the bathroom? Is there any fix for this?
I'm already dealing with chronic insomnia, so this is just adding insult to injury.
I'm heading to the urologist today, but if this turns out to be a prostate issue, I am going to be seriously stressed...
Sleep study experiences? in Psychology & Therapy ·
I’ve finally scheduled an appointment with a sleep specialist, but there’s a catch. I can't get the polysomnography done the same night as the initial consultation. That means I'd have to make the trip back out to Washington, D.C. two days later, which honestly isn't happening—it's just too much of a trek.
I’m curious if anyone here has gone through this before. What’s the actual end goal? In my specific case, I already know I struggle to fall asleep, so I'm wondering what the point of the test really is. If the final result is just being handed a prescription, why bother paying for the whole study? I already have my ECB results, and I'm pretty sure those will give the doctor plenty to work with.
What can they actually uncover with a polysomnography? Once you get the report, what kind of findings do they usually present, and what does a typical solution or medication plan look like?
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Is it possible to take just a quarter of a 25 mg pill, like splitting it up that way?
The manufacturer is Pfizer.
Maybe lowering the dose would mean I don't feel so lightheaded the next day, but I'm not sure—it's been knocking me out.

Aha. Got it. That’s exactly what Lennon is doing. I’ve definitely felt that way myself.

I wasn't asking about the pros and cons here. I'm asking how you actually feel the next day. Do you end up feeling groggy, sluggish, or just totally out of it?

How does everyone else handle Clozapine when you take it? I took half of a 25 mg dose and ended up sleeping for 13 hours straight. To make matters worse, I felt totally out of it all day tomorrow—just groggy and sluggish.
I honestly don't know how any of you manage to function on this medication.
