Omicron variant in Coronavirus ·
Ethan Gomez82 said:Well, clearly not everyone is choosing it. This specific vaccine has been a letdown. We saw massive infection spikes just months after the rollout, so calling the disease "crushed" is a stretch. But if these vaccines actually failed, then the emergence of Omicron might actually be the best news we've had since this whole thing started. It could finally bring this to a close; we'll see soon enough. 🎉 Pandemics always run their course eventually, one way or another.

When I said everyone, I was referring to all world governments.
crimsonhound80 said:Where on earth did you read that the vaccines are bad?
The real problem is the people refusing to get vaccinated.

So, why exactly do you think omicron marks the end of the pandemic?

Because of the unvaccinated crowd, omicron is just going to mutate again, and it could easily turn out to be way worse than delta.

It’s not exactly impossible that the virus keeps mutating because of those skipping the shots, eventually creating some variant that kills anyone unlucky enough to catch it—but hey, maybe we haven't really thought about that, have we?

It is truly pathetic to see what this discourse has devolved into, especially when someone like crimsonhound80 is posting such garbage!

Megan Harris said:Fine, walk me through how that actually works in practice:
1. First, a pharmaceutical giant develops a vaccine.
(Even though they, the governments, and the public all know cheaper therapeutic options exist.)
2. Then, that pharma company bribes every single politician on the planet to sign contracts for overpriced, inefficient vaccines—even when producing a better, cheaper drug would be easy.
3. And then, nations spend years clashing with their own citizens over vaccine mandates, risking civil unrest, riots, and losing upcoming elections or total political control.
That’s not even touching on the fact that national economies tank while bribed politicians bleed money on useless shots, waste billions on hospitalizations that could have been avoided, implement new lockdowns (bleeding trillions in lost revenue and stimulus), and watch tourism and manufacturing collapse globally.
Essentially, the whole world—politicians and citizens alike—ends up in the red. Why would they do that? For a kickback from Pfizer? Please.

Does that actually hold water for you?
You really only have two paths here:
1. A million conspiracy theories involving massive fraud, bribery, and lies just to make this logic work.
2. Or the simplest reality: they haven't found an effective enough cure yet, and vaccines are simply more efficient at scale.

Do I even need to bring up the Russians or the Chinese?
Are they also in bed with Pfizer to harass the rest of the globe?
They are perpetually positioned against America, the EU, and the West.
They would be the very first ones to expose the "truth" to the world if there were any substance to these top-down conspiracies.

For your little theories to make sense, eighty-six thousand unrelated variables would have to align perfectly into one singular global mafia targeting the average person.

Go Google Occam's razor.
In the vast majority of cases, the simplest explanation is the correct one.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_razor

Why bother with bribery when they can just produce a vaccine and move on?
It’s simpler, cheaper, and the profit margins are excellent.
People will choose vaccination; after all, vaccines have historically been decisive in controlling numerous diseases.
From a business perspective, there is no real incentive to sink billions into uncertain drug development.
The idea that pharmaceutical giants would prioritize humanity's welfare over their own interests is frankly absurd.
Therefore, you don't need 86,000 variables; you only need one: pharmaceutical companies act in their own self-interest without worrying about the masses.

A German minister reportedly pressured scientists to manufacture worst-case scenarios just to justify lockdowns

The researchers complied with ease, even offering specific strategies to ensure "public fear and obedience."

It is clear that our own American scientists were far from idle, particularly those working under German influence.

It’s Anne, not Ana, though it hardly matters at this point...

Milo Hrnic-Moja is just counting down the days until Anne arrives.
Linda Reed3 said:You are completely mistaken. If someone decides to sacrifice themselves in an operation against an occupying force, that is their business; there is no need for you or me to worry about it. As long as they target the occupying army, it's one thing, but when they target crowds of civilians, that is a different story entirely. That happens more often than people care to admit, though it seemed more frequent in Palestine back in the day. Now, from what I can see, that isn't really happening anymore... And even if it were, why should I care? Those are just individuals. In contrast, with Christians, both historically and today, we aren't talking about individuals, but masses and entire states supporting terrorism against others.

What "occupying army"? We are talking about civilians here...
And how could I not care when there isn't a single corner of the globe where there isn't a risk of some maniac detonating a bomb in the name of Allah...
But according to you, this isn't as common as it used to be, right?
Hmm, perhaps the Walls and the Americans are actually doing a stellar job at suppressing terrorism—by which I mean killing innocent civilians. 😉 ...
But let's move past individual actors, look at states, and get to the core of the matter...
You were writing about the inherent genocide within Christianity as a religion...
Yet, whenever any civilian dies on any side, the Church expresses outrage and calls for tolerance.
Meanwhile, on the other side, various "messengers of God" promise hordes of virgins in paradise to those who manage to slaughter as many unbelievers as possible (read: innocent civilians).
Religious leaders manipulate the naive, and suddenly there are no longer any things that could be considered a sin if they are committed in the name of Allah.
A few sentences in a mosque and half the city is out in the streets...
And please, don't bother telling me that this doesn't apply to most of the Muslim world...
We aren't talking about my neighbor Almir, who would be heartbroken if he were called to jihad; we are talking about those poor souls in remote backwaters who are manipulated beyond all reason...
Unfortunately, there are far too many of them.
Linda Reed3 said:You simply forgot who slaughtered thousands of Muslims, Jews, and everyone else when the Crusader armies invaded Jerusalem. You've conveniently ignored who launched at least seven Crusades against Muslim lands and who orchestrated the Inquisition.

Look...
You are cherry-picking dark chapters from ancient Church history just to justify similar atrocities being committed today in the name of Islam...
It’s a bit absurd, isn't it?
It’s absurd because your average Christian is well aware of those historical stains and feels nothing but shame regarding the Church's past actions...
Meanwhile, the "average" Muslim—and I am referring specifically to those in the regions currently targeted by the USA and Israel—celebrates whenever a suicide bomber kills non-believers or towers collapse...
They are operating at the exact same level as the medieval Christians who committed or sanctioned various evils following calls from the Pope "in the name of Christ." Essentially, they respond to similar calls from religious leaders "in the name of Allah" by committing and endorsing atrocities against innocent civilians...
Religious fanaticism in its purest form.
