Our little cake 😉 it was basically vanilla parfait topped with fruit... honestly, man, I feel your pain, I know you were dying for some tiramisu instead

So, we had these 50 little favor boxes—each one was about 10 ounces—to hand out to 103 guests. I actually ended up doubling up for a few people, which worked out perfectly... Honestly, though? I think I inhaled way too many sweets myself during the reception because they were just killer. In total, we put together 29 batches for the dessert table and the party favors, and two of those huge batches turned into three massive platters for the main tables, holding well over two pounds of treats each

Aaron Bennett71, look, we’ve got about 120 to 130 people coming, and we already had a solid plan in place for the restaurant and the dessert spread. The lady running things crunched the numbers and figured we need 29 batches of dough total. Each batch is just a bit over a pound, but keep in mind she’s already factored in those 60 little gift boxes—you know, the 10-ounce ones for everyone to take home

I was actually thinking about grabbing some of those small glass candle holders and maybe some little square votives to put them in, then just bringing the whole setup right to their doorstep so they don't have an excuse to forget...

Speaking of cakes, I am definitely not looking for those tacky little plastic rockets or those cheap sparklers on top... we’re heading to a restaurant this Friday to finalize everything, so I’ll check if they can just stick some actual candles on the individual slices instead. My only real concern is how big these things are—like, will there even be enough room for candles to sit on top? It would need to look somewhat decent, kind of like that first photo Chloe Sanchez26 posted...

Look, you could just go through Aunt Betty or Grandma Mary, I guess. All you'd have to do is lug them both over to some lab for a microbiological analysis and then bring that certification along with your cookies... so, honestly, you gotta decide if that’s actually easier or cheaper for you, or...
I think the testing fee per item is around $33, though you'd probably need to send in a mix of those creamy ones and the drier pastries too

Seriously, at this one wedding I went to, they were serving ice cream and cake, so I just grabbed the ice cream... honestly, it was such a lifesaver in that heat.
We actually ordered a parfait cake for our own thing once—we were part of the wedding party—and the bride and groom had a parfait cake too. It was served ice-cold and was absolutely killer, almost like eating straight ice cream, just incredible.

Oh, yeah. Totally forgot to mention—the prices aren't even that crazy. I picked up this little dress, something a bit more dressed up, for like $39.90, so you can imagine what you'd pay $98!!

Heyyyyy ladies, my sisters in retail therapy!
So, I was hitting up the mall in downtown Chicago this past Saturday. My usual move is always heading straight for H&M, but then—total fluke—I realize there’s a C&A just fifty yards away. And honestly? Holy crap. H&M tries to act like they're all that, but they can't even touch C&A. The selection is unreal. Half a floor is dedicated strictly to plus sizes. Even in the standard women's section, they go up to a size 16. But get this—on the second floor, they have stuff up to size 22 or 24!!! I’ve seriously never stepped foot in a store where things actually fit me *and* I actually have a choice in what I'm wearing. Usually, I’m just scanning racks praying to find my size, and if I do, I grab it and run... there's zero actual "shopping" involved. But this time? I ended up grabbing six different dresses that looked amazing on me, and then had the impossible task of picking just one. I actually found a dress for that wedding coming up!!!! Seriously, a total dream come true. I'm basically acting like a little kid who just got handed a giant bag of candy...
