Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Wait, you think they just stop? Like, you think there’s always a hard 7-day break? Please—it varies. It could be a 6-day gap, a 7-day gap, maybe even just 3 days depending on things... basically, once the break is over, they just move straight onto the next pack, regardless of whether their period actually started or what the flow looks like.

Nathan Baker said:I actually witnessed this firsthand—this young girl, just a kid really, was trying to get them at the pharmacy right in front of me because she’d apparently misplaced her script. They ended up just taking her personal information instead. Honestly, ever since that whole Yasmin scandal broke, I suspect they've become a lot more meticulous about how they handle these things.

I wouldn't know, but legally they aren't supposed to hand those out without a script. 🤷 Maybe she was already in their system from before, so that's why they let it slide. Because every single time I show up with my actual prescription, they still insist on asking for my full name—even though it's printed right there on the paper. 🤷

You sure they aren't just out on vacation? 😬
Is it okay to go braless? in Women's Health ·
During the summer, I basically live in sports bras and those tiny little crop tops—it’s way too hot for anything else, and honestly, I can't stand sleeping naked. 🤷 Other than that, I'm strictly a wired bra girl. Even though my 🙂, I still wear underwire because wireless bras are just absolute garbage.

Nope.

First off, that only applies for six months—but honestly, you can probably just grab two boxes at once to be safe. And another thing, you don't even need to pre-order a prescription at Gin—you just show up, knock on the door, tell them you need a script, and they print it out right then and there. At least, that’s how everyone in my neck of the woods handles it.
Look, I’m just gonna say it—some people really think they can just wander into these discussions without having a single clue what they're talking about. It’s exhausting. You see it all the time—people dropping opinions like they're gospel, when honestly? They haven't even done the bare minimum research. It’s pure delusion. Anyway, my two cents. Don't @ me. kaže:
Hey ladies!🙂
So my sixteen-year-old sister is seriously thinking about hitting up the local pharmacy to score some birth control. She’s asking me if it’s a smart move—and honestly? I’m sitting here totally stumped on how to even respond without sounding like a total buzzkill or an idiot. What do you guys think? Is this just part of growing up in America these days, or is she moving way too fast? 😕
I mean, is it actually smart to start drinking them this early? :S
Honestly, I have this massive, paralyzing fear of pregnancy... just totally freaks me out.

I can't even deal with this right now—honestly. It’s like nobody actually thinks before they hit "post" anymore. Just constant noise, zero substance, and everyone acting like their opinion is some kind of absolute truth. It’s exhausting. Seriously, if you’re going to jump into a debate, at least have a clue what you're talking about first. Otherwise, just stay quiet. It’s not that hard. kaže:
Look, let’s be real here—starting birth control at 15, or basically right when you hit 16, isn't some crazy "too early" thing. Honestly? It’s pretty standard in the States. Most doctors aren't going to blink an eye if a teenager needs to start using them. Whether it's for regulating a cycle that's acting like a roller coaster or just basic protection, it’s a decision between you and your healthcare provider. Just go talk to a doctor—they've heard it all before, and they're the only ones who can actually give you the green light based on your own health history. 😕
I mean, can I even start messing with things at such a young age?🤷

It’s not too early—honestly. You just go see the gynecologist, lay everything out on the table, get all the tests done, and you’ll end up with whatever options actually work for you. It's not that deep, blah, blah, blah... 🙂

Ciles is $20.
Long live The Pirate Bay and Handbrake. 😬

If you’ve already tried two of them and they didn't work, just give it a third shot—there’s definitely one out there that’ll actually click for you. For me, Yasmin was an absolute nightmare—I was dealing with constant PMS the entire time I was on it. And don't even get me started on Cilest; it made me feel sick to my stomach and I was constantly throwing up. Right now, I’ve been on Logest for about six months, and I just had bloodwork done this week—everything came back totally normal, zero side effects so far...
I don't really have a serious question or anything—more just curious about something. My OB-GYN sent me in for some blood work, and the results look fine overall. My monocytes are a little low (4.6, when the range is 5.00-13.00), but I'm assuming it’s totally fine since she didn't say anything and everything else came back normal. What I'm actually wondering about is this note in the results: "serum weakly lipoidal!" Does anyone know what that even means? 🤔

So, Gin told me her girlfriends were saying guys are absolutely obsessed with it—apparently, it’s supposed to be a total game-changer in the bedroom. 😬

So, this girl was telling me that if my ring ever happens to fall out, I should just rinse it off under some water and pop it back in within three hours. 🤷

Edit: Just to be clear—I’m not actually wearing it, she was just giving me her "expert" advice while she was trying to talk me into taking it. 🙂

Look, just take a break and call it a day—it’s really not that big of a deal. Just use some extra protection so you can be one hundred percent sure about it.

Ugh, NuvaRing. My OB-GYN actually suggested it, but honestly? The idea of having something sitting inside me for three weeks straight just doesn't sit right with me. 😲

Yeah, if everything is already running smoothly, you're basically just stressing out your system for no reason. 🤷
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
Hurts like hell. 🙏 Nothing else even touches the spot—this is the only thing that actually works.
Dammit, I even forgot I had some Pepsi in the fridge. 🤣 Honestly, my brain is such a sieve when it comes to what's sitting in my own house—so don't go getting all offended if I suddenly chime in later saying, "Oh wait, I actually have that too" once you guys have already moved on. 😂
Jesus, how much stuff do you guys actually have on hand? 😬 I mean, honestly, I always have at least two boxes of Band-Aids lying around—my old lady is constantly cutting herself or whatever... I basically have an entire first aid kit just sitting there. 🤔 And as for sterile needles, I could probably sell them all if I wanted to, since my sister is always bringing more home from the clinic. 🤣 I’m not counting whiskey as part of the stash, though—that stuff isn't even good for me. 😁
Hmm... Let's see. I've got some cough syrup, maybe some fever reducer, Voltaren, Advil, some effervescent stuff... I think that covers it. 🤔

vividtinker89 said:I don't think that's right... my doctor didn't even bother telling me to research how these pills might affect my body until six months in...

Exactly—but honestly, you're better off getting them done sooner. If you've got some underlying clot or some issue you weren't even aware of... 🤷 then you can just blame the medication for those six months, even though you were walking around with it the whole time anyway.
