Every major religion here in the States is offensive to followers of other faiths and to atheists alike.

Sure, someone might claim they aren't offended by outside religions, but the underlying message from most religions in this country remains the same: "you aren't one of us, and you're such trash that you deserve an eternity of absolute torment in hell just for existing."...
You’re trolling at this point. No sane person takes offense just because another religion exists; you need to learn the difference between being insulted and simply disagreeing with a doctrine.
Modern theology tends to frame the Church as the optimal path to salvation, but it doesn't necessarily claim that salvation is impossible for those outside its walls. Regardless, that’s beside the point—even if we were discussing exclusivity, we’d be talking about theological claims, not personal insults.

Nicole James said:It seems to me you weren't nearly as vocal when people were arguing that atheism was to blame for the worst atrocities of the 20th century and things along those lines... Are you asking me to sanction those posts as well, or is it just the ones targeting your own faith that bother you 😉?

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't aware that atheism functioned as a cohesive group with a unified set of norms or a shared moral framework that could be lumped together under one label. That’s where the issue lies here: people tend to single out specific individuals from certain religions—not just Catholics—and then use them as a proxy to condemn every single member of that community as one.

Maybe it’s time an admin actually stepped up and clarified whether it's acceptable to claim a certain Religion is the greatest evil in history—especially since many people following that faith are right here on this forum—simply because the moderator seems to enjoy seeing those posts?

Don't be like that; for them, the old regime was nothing but love and consideration for one another.😂

Nicole James said:From where I stand, your faith is deeply offensive. So, what happens now?

The Religion moderator is claiming that faith itself is an insult to him.🤦

Yahweh: "If a man lies with a man as he lies with a woman, both have committed an abominable act. Let them be struck down, and let their blood fall upon them."

Jesus: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Truly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished."

I assume you aren't a fanatic, so surely you agree that only a monster could command (and approve) something like that (killing homosexuals)?

Just to remind us:
...organizations or ideologies that advocate for, promote, or incite hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group based on differences in sexual orientation...

Where exactly are we seeing the incitement of hatred, violence, and discrimination?

It’s hardly surprising; looking at Reddit, it’s blatantly obvious that insulting Christians—specifically Catholics—is perfectly acceptable here, and this entire thread has made that clear.

There’s really no need for all that. I was simply curious about why they were removed in the first place. Since it seems you're fine with it, I'll just repost them if the conversation heads back in that direction.

Charles Fox10 said:Once you realize a thread has been hijacked by trolls, you know exactly how it goes: they wipe out the entire conversation history and just start a never-ending chain of quotes. They take that very first post, quote it, then quote that quote, and so on—just a repetitive loop of nesting until there are ten or more layers deep. It’s a classic tactic to drown out actual substance.

I’ll go ahead and rewrite the post; there’s no issue there.

I wasn't actually quoting that specific part of the thread; my post was strictly about the agreements.
I was just wondering why those posts were deleted. I didn't see anything controversial in them, and frankly, it feels like a waste to have content scrubbed just because it became collateral damage in whatever nonsense started unfolding overnight.

Charles Fox10 said:I deleted this because things got a bit troll-heavy for a second and I needed to tidy up the thread. Feel free to repost.

I realize things have spiraled into trolling lately, but my posts regarding those organizations had nothing to do with that nonsense (if we're talking about the trolling surrounding the deaths of clergy in Canada).

Why were my posts deleted just because I pointed out how certain interest groups have suddenly become so media-savvy regarding the debate over implementing the CIA?
I was simply commenting on those organizations and their recent rally specifically focused on that conflict.
