rustygardener172, girl, I know, right? I just can't help obsessing over this stuff...😬 😬
But hey, has anyone else dealt with this? Like, whenever I try to lift my eyebrows, I get this weird tightening sensation right in the middle of my nose—just above the center—you know, like a constant pull??? Is that even normal? Plus, I can feel this little "bump" under my skin when I touch it.
How long after surgery should I start doing nose massages?? And how many months did it take before your nose stopped hurting when you touch it?
Did any of you feel little "lumps" under your fingers while massaging? I’ve got this one right between my eyebrows (not sure how else to describe it)—like, super high up on the bridge of my nose. It feels like subcutaneous fat, but now I'm low-key freaking out that it might be some bone regrowth or something?🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔

The wound—well, those nose wounds—are currently healing up. For that to happen, the damaged tissue needs a steady blood supply, plus those scabs need to form. Scabs are basically just natural bandages that protect the area so everything can heal peacefully without being messed with.
If you start using nasal drops or sprays (I'm guessing you mean vasoconstrictors), you're going to seriously cut down the blood flow to an area that already has way too much blood rushing to it. That’s great if you're actively bleeding, but definitely not what you want right now! Sure, breathing might feel easier for a few minutes, but there's zero point in stalling the healing process just for a tiny bit of temporary relief. Just hang in there and it'll all work itself out!
And about those scabs? Seriously, don't go picking at them. They are there for a reason! If you rip a scab off too early, you're basically reopening the wound and forcing the whole healing process to restart from square one. Plus, you could accidentally snag some internal stitches... So yeah, I'm telling you again—just be patient and tough it out. 🙂
As for being careful, try not to blow your nose too hard. And obviously, avoid any bumps or constant pressure on your nose for a while (like, maybe skip the heavy glasses if you don't absolutely need them).
Oh, thanks for getting back to me! 👍
I'm not picking anything, I promise! It's just that I'm so frustrated because I'm still stuck breathing through my mouth. How long is this going to last? It's been 10 days since my surgery. When will these scabs finally fall off so I can breathe normally again?
Also, do I still need to sleep propped up on my back, or can I lie flat now? Every time I tilt my head, I feel this weird pressure in my head.🤷

It’s definitely better than before, but I still can’t breathe through my nose at all—it's just full of crustiness... I've been rinsing with saline and using a little gel with swabs. Plus, I've got these rainbow-colored bruises under my eyes, ughhh... I can't go anywhere looking like this, which is the worst part!
Can we actually use stuff like nasal spray? Since everything feels so fresh and raw right now, I'm a little scared to put anything in there.
Does anyone else feel like when they rinse their nose, nothing actually comes out?? All I manage to do is clear out some mucus that I end up swallowing, but other than that, nothing happens.
What did your doctors tell you to watch out for once the splints are off and you're getting back to your normal routine? Like, besides avoiding any bumps or hits, what's the big "no-no"?
Can anyone help me out? And seriously, how do you deal with all that crusting inside after surgery? How long does it usually take for that to clear up?
So I finally took off my mold the day before yesterday! Honestly, the results look amazing and I’m totally loving them, but man, my nose is so stuffed up it's driving me crazy. It feels slightly better than before, but I still can't breathe through my nose at all because it's just full of crusties... I've been rinsing with saline and using a little gel with cotton swabs. Plus, I've got these rainbow bruises under my eyes, ughhh... I can't even go out anywhere, which is the worst part!
Is it okay to use something like a nasal spray? Since everything feels so raw right now, I'm honestly terrified of putting anything in there.
JDoes anyone else feel like when they try to rinse their nose, absolutely nothing comes out?? All I manage to do is pull up some mucus and swallow it or spit it out—there's no other way!
What did your doctors tell you to watch out for once you get your mold off and start getting back to your normal routine? Besides avoiding any bumps or hits to the face, what should I stay away from?
How long does my nose stay tender to the touch after getting the splint removed??
I started using saline rinses today, and oh my gosh, everything feels totally stuffed up. It’s like all the dried blood just crusted over inside my nose.
Also, once I finish rinsing with the solution, is it okay to blow my nose just a little bit? Everything still feels so fresh and sensitive.
Just wanted to pick your brain on one more thing: how long, how often, and how hard am I actually supposed to be massaging my nose? I'm honestly a little nervous about pressing too hard!
steelangler88 yeah, my doctor actually told me to massage my nose whenever it comes to mind...
rustygardener172 thanks for such a detailed reply 😉 I know I need to get back to my old self, but honestly, I’m just terrified. I'm obsessing over my nose way too much, ugh...
I seriously can't wait to get this mold off! I'm literally breathing through my throat, and my mouth gets so dry at night that nothing seems to help. My nose is stuffed up and full of little scabs; I've been using ointment with Q-tips and nasal drops, but none of it does squat until this mold is finally out.
So, I’m taking my splint off in just a few days! What’s the move after that? Like, how am I supposed to act? Someone told me I should be doing some light nose massages. I'm lowkey terrified someone might accidentally bump into me—even just a little too hard—and I'll be constantly stressing that my nose might end up crooked...
Also, how do you guys rinse with saline? My nose is totally packed with dried blood right now, so I'm guessing the congestion is gonna stick around for a while.
Hey, does anyone know how much surgery costs with Dr. Glušac? I'm wondering how they handle the local anesthesia—is it just an injection in the nose or what?? Also, how much are the pre-op tests, and what exactly do they check during the exam??
Does anyone know if there are any pills to help jumpstart my period early? I don't take any birth control, but I really need to "speed things up" this month because of some stuff coming up... is there anything out there that actually works?

I also grabbed the little shot glasses and the bigger ones for soda, plus cookie boxes for about a dollar, and a 100-pack of balloons $6.75. Picked up some forks too, and rolls of organza fabric—10 yards per roll $10 (I went with green). Around here, 10 yards runs you about $22. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth the trip!
Robin Chase7, honestly it just depends on how you do things... personally, I found those rosemary ties at the local garden center, they had 8 different brands for about $25 for 25 meters
Hey guys! Just popped into the aisle and thought I'd share—if anyone needs balloons, you can grab a pack of 100 for $5. Oh, and if you want bows, they have 10-packs for just $2!

Omigosh, you'll definitely find someone within a year!🙂
Maybe try Focus from Savannah, or Johnson & Johnson—they're totally great too!
Robin Chase7 said:If you don't mind me asking, how much are they going to charge you? And I'm dying to know which flavors you ended up picking! I actually signed a contract with them myself, though I haven't quite settled on a cake yet
$267 . It uses a bundt cake as the base (they always do that), soooooo... I totally blanked on the middle part 🤔 🤔 🤔 😵 something with bananas, and then there's a frozen tundra on top 😍
Nathan Cox25 said:brightotter21, about that photo you posted—sorry, but I don't think that's whipped cream 🤷 have you already checked in with a pastry chef to confirm?
I actually saw that exact same photo when I was ordering from that lady! The cake usually comes with whipped cream, but you can totally swap it for buttercream if you want. I skipped the buttercream because, let's be real, everyone loves whipped cream, plus it's going to be super hot this summer, so... yeah. Honestly, those bakers work absolute magic with the cakes and decorations; I had such a hard time deciding because everything looked so good!😍😍
Chris Moore5 said:Mine had that fancy artisanal chocolate mass... it looked incredible, but honestly, everything just ended up sticking to our teeth while we were snacking on it at midnight. It was visually stunning, sure, but it doesn't quite hit the mark compared to good old-fashioned whipped cream—at least when it comes to flavor. Yours looks fantastic, though.
