SOS: Help with acne! in Health ·
What have you been using? Did you ever see a dermatologist??

If you haven't yet, I highly recommend it! I've been fighting this acne battle for years, and I'm 24 now.

I personally used the La Roche-Posay gel and fluid along with some clindamycin, and honestly, it was a lifesaver. I used to have such nasty breakouts on my forehead, chin, and above my lip—it was awful. Every single morning I’d wake up to at least one new pimple, sometimes even 2 or 3 of those super painful, red, inflamed ones.

Right now, I don't have A SINGLE ONE... just some scarring left behind, which I'm hoping to fix soon too!

One more huge tip: try to touch your face AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE... I know from experience, no matter how much a breakout bugs you, just leave it alone! Our hands are always dirty; they can never be truly clean, and we all end up touching our faces constantly.

I'm telling you this from experience because whenever I picked at my skin, things just got worse and worse. Now, I don't touch anything. If a breakout pops up before my period, I just apply my products and let it be—it usually clears up on its own!
Post some pics, guys! Give us some inspiration since we're planning on tackling this project too 😉
Honestly, I don't know! I have a friend who was at a hospital in Chicago last year—she went in to fix a deviated septum, but they ended up doing some cosmetic work too, and she looks great... it really just depends on which doctor you pick.

Which doctor did you and your boyfriend see in Chicago?
Has anyone here ever gone to see an ENT specialist in Chicago—maybe someone like Dr. Miller—for nose surgery?
Sarah Brooks said:A friend of mine had surgery for a deviated septum at the Mayo Clinic, and then a year later, this weird lump popped up on her nose. It was super strange—not just a bump, but felt like someone shoved a shard of glass under the skin! She actually had to go to a specialist in Chicago to get it fixed. Honestly, the ENT department at the Mayo Clinic is pretty much the worst... I definitely wouldn't suggest going there if I were you.

What makes you say their ENT department is the worst? 🤔I've actually heard that Dr. Maksimović is the top specialist in the area!
Has anyone here actually had nose surgery over at the Mayo Clinic???
Princess, where was that shot taken? Was it in Indianapolis or somewhere else??

Mary, I can't get that first link to open at all! 🤷

Aha... my bad! 🙂

It’s actually not even about after the surgery—it's more like, before everything starts, I feel like it's super hard to breathe through my nose. It's been going on for a while now but I haven't done anything about it yet (though I totally plan to!). And then out of nowhere, one day my nose just starts bleeding for no reason... could that be a symptom of a deviated septum or something?
Quick question for you guys: for anyone dealing with a deviated septum, have you ever dealt with random nosebleeds out of nowhere???

I totally recommend them too! I went a while back and had such a blast. 👍

Oops, my bad! I meant to say check out the Sports Nutrition Journal... you can find everything you need in there on how to eat right!

Seriously though... if boiled potatoes are your only meal, 🙄 you’re doing everything wrong. Go hit the books! Check out this thread => there are tons of ideas in there to help you mix things up and actually eat something decent 😉

Maybe bulk up that meal a bit more—try swapping out the banana for some extra protein!

Hey! Welcome to the group, 😉

Honestly, velvetraven already covered all the bases for you, so now it's just down to you to put it into practice! When I first started hitting the gym, I used to jump straight into 20 minutes of cardio, until I finally learned from the pros here that it's way better to just do a quick 10-minute warm-up and save the heavy cardio for after your weight training.

As for the sweets... I'll just say this: toss it all in the trash 😬! I know, I know, it’s super hard—I struggled with my sweet tooth for ages too—but when you realize a single bar of chocolate can be over 500 calories plus all that fat, you realize that could easily be one or even two really solid, healthy meals instead. It's totally up to you, though...

Personally, I think losing 6kg in 2 months is totally doable! As for cellulite, I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it never fully disappears 100%, though you can definitely make it look way less noticeable.

Anyway, come join us in the food diary! Post what you're eating and when, and we can help you tweak things if they're getting off track 😉

Hellooo?? Anyone there??😕
Does anyone know how much the surgery costs?
Why am I seeing zero results? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Hey... don't be such a pessimist! It's way too early to expect any real results after just 6 weeks...
I actually just hit my one-month mark at the gym today (not even trying to lose weight, just wanted to tone up), and honestly, I haven't seen much change yet either. But I'm not expecting a total transformation overnight! My plan is to stick with it 3 times a week through next summer, and I know I'll see progress by then... You're going to be fine too, just don't quit now and keep doing exactly what you started! 🙂🙂 There you go...

Olivia Ward20 said:Honestly, so many of us deal with this little thing. 🙂
Like Sandra Martin72 said, ''it’s totally normal.'' My left side is definitely bigger than my right, but I've totally made peace with it! It doesn't even bother me anymore knowing how common it actually is. 😁

Exactly! 👍
I know tons of girls in the exact same boat. It really varies from person to person—some people notice the difference way more than others. I'm definitely in the group where it's pretty noticeable, but honestly, it doesn't bug me at all... I just totally embraced it as part of being human! 😁😁😍

I honestly thought I was the only one dealing with this little quirk! 😍
My breasts are asymmetrical too, and it’s pretty noticeable—the right side is definitely bigger than the left. But hey, I’ve totally made peace with it... when I wear a tight top, I just nudge my bra up a bit more on the left side to even things out.

Amy Long19 said:Better to just check the fat percentage... calories go up and down, but fat is what really packs on the weight..
Anyway, it's only 105 calories per 100g of cheese, so it's not even that bad..

It has 5g of dairy fat??? Hmm... is that actually a lot??😕 I'm totally lost when it comes to this stuff!!
