The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
So, Ukraine is stuck with this kind of civilian leadership... completely unprepared for the shadow games played by those KGB types
Honestly, you have to hand it to the Ukrainians

Ukraine isn't backing down to those KGB beasts
And there’s plenty more where that came from

It was a total coward move, attacking under the cover of night after lying through his teeth that nothing would happen. He didn't even officially declare war! Talk about massive violations of international laws of war.

Exactly. Pure KGB-style lowlife behavior.
That’s why Ukrainians aren't backing down; you don't dance with a guy like that.
Period.

Given all the Hollywood bullshit out there, I'd say this is a pretty solid film. It captures war much better than Saving Ryan, in my opinion. The Chinese just don't know how to make a good movie... 🤦

The music is probably good too. They have their own versions of Britney Spears and Taylor Swift, but I'm sure they have their own Dua Lipa and Elton John as well. It's just a difference in branding.

Fine then, go ahead and enjoy it. Open your soul up to Eastern culture if you want.
I won't. I'm sticking with Western capitalism... Hollywood, punk rock, reggae, and everything else. Plus Pornhub.

There needs to be another way to get rid of Putin.

So, what? You think you'll find some idiot among the Russians willing to pull that off?
They know perfectly well they'd all be wiped out in that madness
unless his inner circle removes him first... honestly, god help us, the man is insane.

🤣 Who would go there like a madman? For what reason? For whom? To achieve what?
And when Americans want to forge their own path... these people pull them back and scream, "Stay right there! It’s great! It’s better than being in the decaying West!"

I haven't heard a single person around here mourning our entry into the EU.
It used to be full of those pathetic, sickly complaints: "Oh, we won't have our specific cheese or cream anymore."
But now? Nobody regrets joining the EU or NATO.

Richard Wilson4 said:The Germans should probably just shut it and stay quiet unless someone actually asks for their opinion.

It’s embarrassing for the West, honestly. NATO ought to just suspend them.

Yeah, they are absolutely repulsive.
But the second things actually get difficult... there they are, right on the front lines.

Meanwhile, Putin’s getting twitchy and is likely gearing up to throw heavier weaponry into the mix with the next waves. He’s stuck in the mud now; there's no turning back. This whole thing is headed straight for total war.

Exactly. I mean, if you actually look at the numbers, the refugee count isn't even that high considering how massive Ukraine is and its total population size.
So... anything could happen.

Both of those kids are right there in Kyiv.. they're showing their faces, and honestly, hats off to them
They could have been chilling and blowing through cash in Germany
And then you hear those KGB types rambling about how... Ukraine isn't even a real nation
Man, they really screwed up big time

swiftjackal11 said:They aren't that efficient; they can't just swap out all the street signs in Kyiv in three days. Ukraine was caught completely off guard by the Russians.

It takes more than a few days to ignite a nation, but it looks like the Russians aren't just going to stroll through the streets without a fight.
Zelensky seemed in good spirits this morning. No fear visible... the resistance is massive, and honestly? It was totally unexpected.

Think about what actually makes up "Europe" and why it’s arguably the best place on Earth.

Have you seriously not seen the massive lines of people from the EU practically begging to move to China or Russia? Open your eyes.

is the delusion that the world still revolves around the West. It doesn't.
We’re seeing a clear break from Western cultural, political, and economic dominance.
Just as the Middle East was our primary focus, the rest of the world sees this conflict in America's backyard as secondary.
America is rapidly becoming a peripheral player on the global stage while the center of gravity shifts toward the East.

While the Chinese and Russians might claim they invented the internet, Facebook, and all this modern tech,
it’s actually the brilliant minds in the garages of democratic nations who are truly inventing tools to improve life, producing incredible music, and making great films.

Joseph Clark37 said:That’s just how it works. For that reason, Germany wouldn't lift a finger if Russia were to hypothetically attack the Baltic states, Poland, or the US... because the gas has to keep flowing. Everything else is secondary to that...

Keep dreaming, keep hoping...
Germany is going to be forced to cut Russia out of their equation entirely.

Klitschko proved he’s the real deal, but he’s out there actually fighting in Kyiv

Major respect to the Ukrainians

It’s honestly exhausting when you try to wrap your head around the Russian mindset—people living under the thumb of a KGB-style regime, stuck with a leader who treats them like property while they endure endless repression
and then you look at the Ukrainians, who, despite having their territory seized and facing constant threats from Russia... decided to elect a comedian as their president
Does it really make sense for Americans to be part of the EU? It seems pretty obvious that Russians just aren't mature enough for actual freedom yet.

Let's see what he's got in store—maybe some grand plan to revive America or Czechoslovakia... or who knows, maybe he'll try to rename the leadership in Trinidad and Tobago. Hard to say, really. We'll just have to wait and see. Wild Vlado

vladek is getting more agitated by the day
Zelensky refuses to back down; he keeps calling for resistance, and you can tell that initial fear has completely evaporated.

Thomas Nelson25 said:The Ukrainians actually managed to shut down those special forces trying to take the city—even the Russian minister admitted as much.

Heavy armor is just sitting out there waiting, though nobody’s even sure if they’re actually moving in. If they do, we all know what kind of "victory" that looks like.

Every single day the Ukrainians hold the line is a massive victory.
It's the second most powerful military on earth, led by some KGB-style thug, going up against pro-Western, cultured people who picked an actor to lead them and never expected this kind of sick, brute aggression.
The Russians are playing themselves like total idiots. This KGB-wannabe they worship is going to cost them everything.
The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
Our people are holding the line
Zelensky isn't interested in sitting at the negotiating table yet
The Ukrainians need more time to properly gear up and coordinate... meanwhile, the Russians have been training for months and rolled in high on adrenaline and ready for action
The Russians aren't going to get the easy win they expected

Nancy Gomez26 said:It isn't just "others" who suffer—they are tearing themselves apart too. Do you really think the Russian military isn't paying the price in lives?

Well, obviously people are dying. But since they have such massive numbers... they're basically desensitized to the loss of life. Besides, they've always been experts at covering up their own mess.
